The best restaurants serving British food in Bridlington South East Riding of Yorkshire Yorkshire and The Humber

We visited a year ago and loved it, so I had to go back when we were in Bridlington. Staff were so accommodating, even with my son who was in a mood. They went out of their way to make sure he found something he liked. Sundaes were huge and waffles amazing again. They even remembered me from before. Lovely little place.

As always delicious food lovely clean place staff very polite and friendly would recommend also great choice of dishes children’s meals look great

I have just suffered the most miserable customer service I have ever experienced in my 55 years on this planet.. the chap behind the fryer asked, do you want these wrapped up or what ? I replied, do what ever is easiest for you, to which he just grunted.. miserable staff, miserable sized portions and very expensive curry, £1.60 fora tiny amount,, please avoid this place. I warned you !

Waited 35 minutes for fish chips twice and a kids fish and chips, Chips and peas were cold, Fish was actually very good, the pot of tea which had arrived just after ordering was long gone when the food arrived, No apology for the delay, in fact none of the staff talk they just take your order, No one came to ask how the food was, The place really does have a strange atmosphere, with odd signs such as only 12 year old's or under can have a kids meal. Went to pay the bill , was told the price and my card was processed, that was it. I mentioned we'd been waiting 35 minutes and the chips were cold, "Oh I'll tell the kitchen" Won't be returning and given the amount of competition nearby you'd think they'd be trying harder, Avoid.

One tip - AVOID! Frozen overwhelmingly fishy fish 🤮 unacceptable and the tables were grim! We wiped the tables with baby wipes (after ordering) and they were black. Wouldn’t have ordered if we knew this then the food was just awful!

As a regular for years, it pains me to say that my experience last night was highly disappointing. Upon ordering, I was shocked to find that the portion sizes of chips were notably smaller than usual. In fact, the small portion contained an alarmingly small number of chips, barely filling a child-sized box. To my disbelief, the large sausage and chip meals were even more scantily accompanied by chips. Additionally, despite paying for an extra portion of chips, it was missing from my order upon returning home. Furthermore, I discovered that a drink was missing from the children's meal, which further compounded the dissatisfaction of my family's dining experience. Considering the nearly £30 expenditure for our meal, I cannot help but feel that we were grossly overcharged for the quantity and quality of food received. As a long-time customer, I have always appreciated the consistent quality and service provided by your establishment. However, based on this recent experience, I regret to inform you that we will not be returning. I hope you take this feedback constructively and consider reassessing portion sizes and service standards to maintain the loyalty of your customers.

Visited with my husband and got some seafood from this shop. Owner (man) was very rude with no please or thank you. Your attitude won’t get your business far at all!

Probably the only place to have a late night meal in Bridlington (food served until 11pm). And they have 5 star food standards!! (unlike Speedy Peppers unhygienic 1 star). Service was friendly, and as we were so late, the food was super hot and cooked to order.

Fantastic portions (I only ordered a medium fish and chips and it was huge!) Delicious batter and fresh fish that melted in your mouth. The large plate of chips were also stunning and moreish! Great value for money! Just be aware you need cash - but there’s a cash point around the corner. Friendly staff and comfy restaurant. High recommend!

Lovely quite place out of season. Dog friendly. Staff very pleasant and the food was delicious 😋 would highly recommend

We have been going to all the Bridlington restaurants for many years and the quality and value are always great. They also allow dogs inside which is good on a cold winter afternoon.

I grew up going to that restaurant as a McDonald's so visiting as an adult to see it reopen as something different was one of those look kids I used to come here conversations. The food was nothing to shout about, really should have gone to McDonald's. The drink was flat. The place hasn't been decorated since it was an open maccys and the toilets are exactly the same as they were very early 90s still with original fixtures. It may be a huge building to maintain but to be polite about it it's a craphole

Poor service, poor food, burger was dripping with grease and was told it was cooked on a grill so shouldn’t be even though could be seen. Was charge for 5 meals instead of 4, when questioned was told the 5th burger was refunded when the mistake was noticed but wasn’t even made aware. When offered full refund for both food and drinks, was only refunded for the food. Told refund would be instant but as made by card this takes time to be refunded, another example of poor service as not even aware of refund timescales as advised by banks.

As always great fish and chips, excellent staff, spotless, and reasonably priced. Always eat here when on visit to bridlington, never been let down as to quality and quality
