One tip - AVOID! Frozen overwhelmingly fishy fish 🤮 unacceptable and the tables were grim! We wiped the tables with baby wipes (after ordering) and they were black. Wouldn’t have ordered if we knew this then the food was just awful!

The food was OK, the service was surly and unhelpful. No vinegar on table, no sauces, very few customers plenty of staff but the floor was not swept. We went to the toilet before leaving and it was an absolute disgrace. Vile, smelly and uncared for. It really isn’t hard to keep a place clean. If that is the public areas what are the fridges like?

We visited on Saturday, July 29th. We ate using the outdoor seating, so we ordered from the take away side of the shop. There were three of us, and we just wanted something quick before going to the promonade. There were four outdoor tables , and dogs were allowed here too. Service was quick and you were given an order number that was called when food was ready. The staff in the cafe area were helpful, explaining that sitting outside ment ordering from the takeaway side of the shop. The staff on the takeaway side were busy and took your order quickly. The food itself was ok, I liked that the chips weren't overly greasy and were quite chunky. I would imagine the prices were about avergage - although I can't be sure because we dont have chipd often - we had two lots of sausage chips and beans and one sauasage and chips, plus three soft drink cans and this came to £25ish. We used the toilets- not very clean - and a really bad smell.

The fish and chips in this place was immense! My wife said it was the best fish she had tasted, I myself order a battered burger to try it out. The battered burger was nice and cooked perfectly, its an acquired taste but I enjoyed it. Pricing was average so not overly expensive but the quality of food was more than worth the price. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

My wife and I recently visited here for a fish and chip lunch whilst on holiday. The premises were clean and tidy and service was good. Both the fish and the chips were tasteless which was a big disappointment as this being a seaside resort we expected first class fare. I would not recommend. We will not return. Such a shame.

Called for a 'chippy' lunch whilst in town, I got a childs meal as I did'nt think I'd manage an adults one, this came with an orange drink which was frankly a lot nicer than the robinsons variety! There was still plenty of fish & chips to fill me up and tasty too.

Open chippie we could find open at 8pm in Bridlington on a Saturday night. Eating in seemed an expensive option so we opted for a take away. The fish was freshly cooked, to order. The fish was fresh, as opposed to frozen, and the batter crispy. Both the fish and chips were hot.

Ate here for the first time in donkies years. We would have got takeaway but as it was raining we chose to eat inside. It was £10.40 for normal portion of fish and chips, everything think else is extra, peas, curry, drinks etc. The portion size was average and the fish was good enough, but maybe a quick or so overpriced in my opinion. The table was sat at had not been cleaned since previous customer by the looks of it. The staff who took the order did however seem to be quite friendly.

Came here as we wanted to eat in for a late lunch. It wasn’t very busy and quite a few tables free. You had to find a table and then go and order at the counter. There were two families of three at one table and we’d asked to eat together (although ordering separately) and told not an issue. After 30 minutes the two children’s meal and one adult fish and chips and peas arrived. I said that one of the children’s meals was gravy and the other should be peas. They apologised and took one back to get peas. However, they came back and told me I was wrong and they were both gravy as that is what they’d written down! I asked if they could change one and they reluctantly agreed. They also had to fully replace one of the child’s as it was stone cold and the other two like warm. The fish was dry and horrid. Definitely not fresh or what you’d expect from the coast. We’d eaten the three meals before they brought out a fish cake and chips, spam and chips and pie and chips. All the chips were luke warm and no one interested when they were informed. They were too busy keeping their masks below their noses!!! The cost for what we had was extortionate. Just under £60 for 6 Luke warm meals and horrendous service. Goodness knows what they’d be like of busy. Avoid at all costs unless you like wasting money.

My title is probably very harsh. We did go over a hot weekend and there is of course social distancing. However, I did feel the system for getting people served was pretty poor. We waited probably 20 minutes in total, and the queue wasn't that long (probably 5/6 couples or individuals in front of us). For this reason alone, I probably wouldn't rush back there. On the other hand, the fish and chips was A* quality. Really fresh and plenty of it. Summing up, 5 stars for food quality, 4 for price and regrettably only 2 or 3 for customer service.

We have eaten here a few times in the past and always enjoyed our meals, however this time it wasn’t that great. Ordered haddock specials and a scampi and asked if we could swap the hot drinks included in the meal to cans of pop, which they did at a charge of 40p each, even though the cans of pop were considerably cheaper than the hot drinks on the menu, but when queried this the server didn’t know why but had to charge to make the swop. The food was okay but a little disappointing compared to the previous meals we have eaten here. Fish was very sloppy and wet with batter so thick it hadn’t cooked properly in places in 2 out of the 3 haddock. The scampi was good. Service wasn’t the best, had to ask for missing items ordered & staff generally looked a bit miserable and like they’d had enough. Maybe it was just an off day as we have not been disappointed on our previous visits.

This particular busy bees restaurant was a regular call for us in the past, that is till the price of a special seemed to cost more every time we went in. Anyway I called in out sales Wednesday as the trawl was closed, where I now go. I ordered cod and chips, there is a notice on counter saying they are now using new potatoes, which I prefer but not really all that bothered. When the chips were cooked they were mixed with other chips which I don't know how long they had been there but they were much darker than the fresh chips. After they had been wrapped I drove up to North bay to eat my meal. First thing I noticed was cod was really haddock, believe me I can tell. Then I tried the multi coloured chips, which weren't new potatoes, but as I said that didn't bother me. The point is I only got 2 items and none were as advertised, the fish was average, chips were a little too soft and mushy.

If you want a quality fish and chips and want to avoid all those pesky seagulls on the harbour, then busy bee's is the place to go. The fish and chips are of amazing quality and good sized fish. I would highly recommend this "plaice" to anyone visiting Bridlington. The price is more expensive than your usual chippy and the meal deal doesn't seem worth it with a pot of tea, slice of bread and small peas. But the quality of the fish and chips itself makes up for this short fall.

Visited whilst on holiday, my partner and I both had a 'meal deal' - cod and chips with a side of mushy peas/baked beans/curry sauce or gravy, plus bread & butter with a pot of tea for two. Cooked to order at the time we went in (it was almost 7pm and I believe they close at 8pm) so a wait of about 10 minutes but it was worth it, and we did have tea to be getting on with and hot water was supplied to top it up without question.Food was well cooked, crispy chips with fluffy centres and the batter on the fish was really well cooked without being greasy (I have a medical problem which means I dont eat fried fish very often, and even when I do it normally give me digestive problems afterwards, but not problem with this one). The mushy peas needed some salt, but I suspect this is them being 'politically correct' and serving them without any added salt. All in all we had a lovely meal and will visit again when we are in the area.

Poor reception yet the only person there. 7.50pm and already everything prepared for closing. Poor fish size, quality worst ever, just because the probe shows the fish temperature is safe does not mean the fish is cooked. Wet inside with uncooked batter mix, it just fell apart. I could see it was still dripping with fat but that's what gets served up. Chips were few, pale and oily. No scraps left or notes for change about sums the place up. Not interested in your business and expensive, that's it, make no wonder Bridlington is lacking visitors.

A relief!Almost empty but starting to fill up as we left, we ordered at the counter, picked up cutlery etc and tea for two, waited for no more than 5 mins, and received gigantic portions of cod, chips and Yorkshire caviar (mushy peas!) with brown bread and butter and prepared to enjoy a feast. The cod was succulent and sweet, perfectly cooked, chips fried in beef fat and well, the whole meal was perfect. They do pensioner's specials which are slightly smaller and cheaper, but we went the whole hog and do thoroughly recommend Busy Bees to all

Gorgeous fish and chips also fish cakes as well but would also like to see different types of food on the menu in the restraint and take away.

The fish was nice and we would recommend having the cod. It was slightly tastier than the haddock. The service was ok, nothing special. She was very polite. For 2 adults and a child's meal it was over £20

Well organised service at this excellent chippy. Didn't have to wait long before we received our tasty cod deep fried in crunchy batter served with fat chips and mushy peas - scrumptious.

We've been visiting this branch for a while now as we like to sit outside on a sunny day away from the gulls that are a nuisance around the harbour. However we've been disappointed of late, the service is getting slower with each visit and the portion sizes are far from generous now. Time to look elsewhere.

Visited Brid with my mum on a blustery day and decided to drop in for a cuppa at their Chapel St cafe to try and warm up a bit! Inside it's bright and airy with plenty of seating, staff were friendly and we considered it good value for money - of course there's plenty of competition which is great for customers! You can order to takeaway and I think prices are lower for this option.

For the amount they charge you'd expect more, okay it was nice but few more chips on the plate would of been nice, personally I've been to better places and enjoyed it more, find that this place is over rated, service is quick, staff are polite. Wouldn't rush back. Overall it's okay!

We were passing in the car and noticed that they also had a takeaway section. We got fish and chips and ate them in the car. It was throwing it down outside and the fish was a really good size, chips were really tasty and would recommend to anyone. The takeaway and cafe are in a really good place so you have the option of eat in or takeaway.

I went here a few weeks ago with my partner and we both ordered fish and chips. As I placed my order the guy said it wouldn't be long!!How wrong he was.I placed my order at 14:06 and we didnt recieve our fish and chips until 26 minutes later...I understand that alot of fisheries fry fish on request nowadays but after a 10 minute wait still no fish and chips? The thing that I found annoying is there wasn't a customer in the shop when I placed the order and there was only one oap in the attached restaurant next door. What I did find even stranger was as the guy put our fish in he only put just 2 portions of chips in at the same time and in the meantime 2 customers came in and asked for 2 chips which the guy gave them. After 10 mins of waiting our fish was cooked then what was annoying is the guy put some more chips in??Then a few customers came into the restaurant next door in the meantime and he gave the second lot of chips to them??After 20 mins of the 26 mins we waited he said It shouldn't be to long now and I asked if he was joking as the fish had been cooked ages ago!!The full service was definately one to remember,as I left a customer came in and said it was always like that!!As I left I told them if they carry on like that in low season they're going to lose a lot of custom in peak season.Just to make things worse as I sat in my car to eat my fish and chips, the chips wasn't cooked and was hard in the middle and the fish was very poor possibly the worst I'd ever tried in Bridlington.I honestly wouldn't recommend busy bees to anyone and they've certainly lost my custom before the summer begins.....

Was to be honest heading to weatherspoons until I saw this place, warm and the staff looked friendly, when I entered they were very hospitable despite I was the only one who was going to sit in!Didn't think I was going to eat the amount on my plate but I did, must have been hungry. If you fancy fish and chips visit Bust Bees, won't be disappointed

We just happened upon this cafe as we walked into Bridlington on our first day. The haddock and chips were absolutely, delicious and a good portion. Best I’ve tasted since running my own successful fish and chip shop in Australia some years ago.

Visiting Bridlington for the first time and stopped asked some locals where we could get some REALLY good fish and chips hence how we arrived at the Busy bees for a sit down supper. Now I have to admit that I am a bit fussy when it comes to the fish batter as so often it is soggy. My husband went for cod, chips and mushy peas. I spotted the jumbo haddock and decided to have this just on its own. Both meals were excellent for the batter was soooooo crisp and actually made a crunchy noise when cutting! Nice touch too serving it with fresh lemon wedges. The cafe was relaxing, spotlessly clean and the service excellent. Whilst my husband was paying for our meal I sought out and congratulated Bryn, the Fryer for the superb quality of the battered fish. Thanks must also go to Isaac who served us . He was friendly and obliging. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and very pleasant staff. Thank you.

It has been several years since I had been to a Busy Bees but was not disappointed. The fish and chips were cooked fresh to order and tasted light and crispy. My husband had never been and could not believe how good these were. Thumbs up here!

We went on a quiet Sunday afternoon out of season because the previous review said they allowed the dog to go inside. I asked if we could take the pup in and sit out of the way in the corner. The lady said no sorry I don’t allow dogs in at all.

This cafe is now called Miss Bs pantry. Very friendly ladies and delicious food. As a coeliac myself I have to have gluten free. This is very well catered for here so my partner and I have visited on numerous occasions.Various selection of savoury dishes and cakes. Lovely latte too. Well worth a visit.

We had lunch at The Potting Shed with family. This was a return visit, and we think it’s the best garden centre restaurant in the area. Soup was carrot and coriander (delicious, could’ve eaten more!), sandwiches were very fresh, and the haddock and chips were delicious. Restaurant is very clean and well laid out, tables not too close together. I’m sure we’ll be back!

Niño amable, acogedor. Siempre una excelente pinta y un montón de ofertas de bebidas disponibles. Jardín de cerveza que es seguro y cerrado para los niños para jugar.

On behalf of a relative who visited yesterday. Small fish, really greasy. Trading under Thompson’s name but nowhere near the quality. Cash only which is an inconvenience. Won’t be returning.
