We were so looking forward to our visit after having two lovely fish and chip meals there the year before, however, after being served on cold plates the chips were very very dark brown skin on fries, and luke warm, the peas came in a jar and were luke warm, although the fish was nice and hot, when I advised the waiter the chips had been cold as I hadn't eaten mine, I was told that he couldn't see how🥴 .At least I have got the fish and chips out of my system as I had been looking forward to visiting Seabirds so much since our last visits to Filey when the fish and chips were delicious both times 😂 the saving grace was the other lovely staff member who was great with my dog 😍

A lovely evening. The North Star is a great place for a lovely meal. It's cosy and welcoming. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and can answer any questions you may have. Food came out quickly and was lovely good portions too The star of the north star has to be the dessert trolley . Very hard to choose, all looked delicious . Will be back next time I am in the area

Being a Brid lad I've always kinda thought of this place as a 'caravaners' 'holidaymakers' type place so stayed away really . But 6 months ago my girlfriend and I were looking to eat out and she suggested The Martonian. To say I was impressed is an understatement, the place is fresh and clean,staff are very efficient, food is excellent and great vfm,the resteraunt is very spacious which is a massive plus point for I don't like being crammed in and listening to other folks conversations and they serve a belting pint of Theakstons mild . The only negative for me not them is the car park can be a bit tight ,my van is long and getting out can be tight some times,so if you drive a long vehicle maybe park outside then get yourself in there for a feed you long be disappointed 👌

Después de caminar un par de horas alrededor de la costa de Flamboroughs era hora de comer y beber. (Bueno, uno debe mantenerse hidratado). Llamamos al Ship Inn para almorzar y un par de pintas. Podría decirse que por dentro se ve un poco cansado pero compensado por una amable bienvenida de Yorkshire. Pedí un bistec patatas fritas n guisantes con una salsa rica. Mi compañero pidió la Lasaña. Para acortar una larga historia. No queda nada que raspar de los platos. Generosas porciones no dejaron espacio para Desert. Nos gustó tanto que reservamos para el domingo carvery al día siguiente. Una selección de 3 carnes (nosotros plomeamos para cerdo y carne de res). Nunca podrías quejarte por no comer suficiente carne. Generosas porciones. Incluso elección de salsa. Con o sin cebolla. ¡Hicimos un cerdo de nosotros mismos! Me temo que lo hicimos y nos encantó todo. Si volvemos a bajar por ese cuello del bosque seguro que volveremos a llamar.

Para los lugareños, los wessies que vienen de día, y cualquier otra persona hacer su camino para experimentar y probar esta impresionante tienda de pescado y patatas fritas cocinado por la fabulosa Vicky y su equipo. El pescado y las patatas fritas son preciosos y lo mejor... pruébalos y dime que estoy equivocado.

A lovely place to eat. We went for lunch midweek and got a table with a view of the sea. A very nice environment with lovely seating. I had a small fish and chips and my husband had the steak pie. The gentleman who served us was very friendly, he immediately offered to change the mushy peas to garden peas when my husband asked for the mushy peas to be left off his order. The food was piping hot and perfect. My husband really enjoyed his pie and the chips were perfection. We will certainly return.

Lovely February walk in the sunshine to Flamborough, called into the Rose and Crown for breakfast. Very good quality produce cooked to perfection at a reasonable price. Recommend the Crown Breakfast it was a big 10/10. Best breakfast in the area. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

¡De lejos, el peor fish and chips que he tenido en años! El pez era delgado, pequeño y el pez era gris y picante lo que había de él. La masa estaba empapada y húmeda y como papilla debajo, lo que indica el hecho de que su grasa no está lo suficientemente caliente. Las fichas eran restos de fichas más o menos puntiagudos. ¡Las únicas cosas que eran buenas eran los guisantes mullidos tristemente! Quizás como dueños deberían hacer un viaje a Whitby y probar ‘Trenchers’ fish and chips’, ¡están en otra liga y cocinados en goteo de carne de res y SON galardonados!

Don't Bother...dined here last night....service is pretty naff...especially when paying top restaurant prices.....I ordered brie to start..got 2 little nuggets that were goats cheese ....sent them back..then got 3 little nuggets....1 brie...1 goats cheese and I completely empty..advised it said brie on the frozen pack...even tho menu advertises everything cooked fresh from scratch...roast Beef was ok if a bit overcooked and veggies were OK..although not worth £19.50...much better places to eat in Brid although views are nice...

We went for the bargain basement pensioners special twice and to be honest we didn't expect a great deal - we were wrong. Alex was lovely, polite, welcoming and didn't keep us waiting. We received two servings of lovely golden battered fish, very tasty chunky chips and some scraps which we very much enjoyed and were well worth every penny of the bargain meal and some! Many thanks, 149 - you serve up a delicous product at the right price so no wonder there are often queues going out your door. The quality and service speaks for itself. Will be back again soon - try and stop us!!

9 of us visited here as our walking group and we all had the fish and chips which we all agreed were lovely and good value. The ladies working there were very polite and helpful. Thank you.

Hi everyone, i visited here this morning with my Pugalier Lottie. I called in for a coffee and something to eat. Was greeted with a smile and the staff were very polite, professional and helpful. I ordered a coffee and a bacon & sausage sandwich and then went and sat in the conservatory area. Views of the sea were great, even better as I didn't have the bitter cold wind howling past my ears. Plenty of seating, nice clean and welcoming atmosphere. Dog friendly which is great as I always travel with Lottie. 🐕 My coffee and sandwich were brought to the table for us, absolutely amazing bacon and sausage sandwich. Piping hot and very tasty and coffee was very nice too. My sincere thanks to all the staff, 10/10. Look forward to popping in again on our next visit. Definitely recommend a visit here. 👌 👍👍
