Perfect chippy! Excellent service. Very friendly mamagement and staff. Great fish and chips. Very fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

We had Fish and Chips from here 24.08.24, approximately 17:30, had to wait around 20 minutes, for the meal to be served which isn't an issue, We travelled back 5 minutes away, the quality was poor, soggy batter due to adhesion and being so thin, so that all came off and stuck to the undercooked and soggy/floppy chips, £20 for 2 portions of which 80% was inedible

Fantastic meal had by all the family. The fish had a light and crispy batter and was a really decent size for a normal portion. The chips looked a little pale, but tasted great. The children's fish bite and chips meal didn't last long- so much so, that our son asked when could we go again (high praise indeed!). The curry sauce, whilst thicker than what we are used too was full of flavour and a great addition to the meal. The couple serving were very welcoming and had a great level of customer service. All in all, good value for money and we would recommend it to anyone in the vicinity who wishes to have great fish and chips! We will be back for certain

I have always enjoyed food from here before but on this occasion we had cod butties and they were very expensive as well as very greasy. £16 for 2 absolute rip off but we did get that is grease. Sorry but this is unfortunately true

Called in for fish and chips twice, to take upto the head. We were treated to some lovely portions of freshly cooked perfect fish and chips. The batter was crispy and not too thick, and the fish was plump and thick and tasted great. The chips were a little brown but were perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. All cooked in dripping, like they used to be! We took this all to Flamborough head, and got our chairs and table out and it was all lovely. Sun was shining (for once) and the food was good. We had a nice time in Flamborough.

Rocked up 10 mins before closing and the guy couldn't be happier to serve us, we're a family of 6 with the mother in law aswell, so eating out is always a bit of a challenge We had a variety of things ie pie, sausages, nuggets, burgers and chips. All were cooked fresh to order and as its all cooked in old fashioned beef dripping tastes amazing, probably not best to ho if your veggie or vegan. Portions were large and the price was amazing If we ever come back this way, we are from the South, will definitely use again Keep doing what your doing

Absolutely lovely fish and chip shop. Walked south landing to north landing popped in here for fish and chips and peas, scampi and chips can of dandelion and burdock and a can of shandy. The food was cooked in front of us in the absolutely spotless kitchen. What a lovely and tasty meal we had. Highly recommend and well worth the visit.

The freshest most beautiful fish we have tasted.We are so lucky having a holiday home at Thornwick Bay and being only a few minutes drive from this absolute gem The portions are hot and plentiful and cooked whilst you wait. We drive past a few to come here. The staff are very welcoming.

Stay well clear Now have loyalty cards but they have lied and said there number 1 in 2023 they never made the list see views below your self not the ones they have got friends to write to look like it’s doing well

Superb!! Large cod and chips with a side of mushy peas. All cooked to order, but the wait was well worth it. Cod in a lovely thin crispy batter cooked to perfection, chips well cooked and not soggy. Good service with a smile!! We normally go to the other Flamborough fish shop but they closed earlier than advertised, so decided to try this one and we certainly weren't disappointed and will return.

Excellent fish, chips battered sausages, and curry sauce. Staff were lovely and happy to serve our party of 6, although it was quite late even giving us some fish bites for our dog that she thoroughly appreciated! Locals are lucky to have this chip shop on their doorstep!

Worst fish I have ever had, my son ordered a large sausage , chips and gravy. The sausage was so small and they forgot the gravy, my fish was burnt that much I could not eat it, I will never eat there again 👎

Raw batter on the fish. ?? Haddock, this is a white fish, that was not white at all. A bone got stuck in my throat, which was very traumatic. Will not go again.

Awful fish and chips. Greasy batter, dry fish, hard chips. If you must have your fish & chips fix while staying in Flamborough wait until the other fish & chip shop in the village opens on Wednesdays.

Was recommended this fish and chip shop by the campsite we stayed at and it did not disappoint. Waited a while for the food but this is because the lady was on her own and everything was freshly cooked so needless to say it was tasty! The lady was lovely and polite. Portions were very generous. No complaints here x

Most horrible service.. waited 30 mins. Only 3 people infringe of us! Both of us sick after because the food was over cooked in fat.. probably used before. Horrible chips and brown fish behind the horrifically overcooked batter. We love our seaside fish and chips but this is the worst we’ve ever had.. in all parts of the counter. Avoid it and the abusive staff.

Arrived at 18 .45 to place my order of much looked forward to family meal of fish and chips only to be " We are shut ! " Not in in nice manner but very ag gressive way .. This despite posted opening hours , closed 20.00.. Be assured will not darken there doors again !

Excellent…beautiful Sunday lunch family birthday celebration. The food was superb, the Beef outstanding and the service was perfect, excellent friendly, polite staff, always ready to supply more vegetables, sauces, gravy, drinks as required. Visited twice over the weekend whilst staying in Flamborough. Great portion size and good value. But more importantly the chips were amazing. Cooked in beef dripping. Possibly the best I’ve ever tasted. This was mirrored by all of our group. Very friendly staff as well.

I visited on a Friday evening to try the fish and chips here after my former regular chippie in the area had gone to the dogs. I just wish I had tried it sooner ! The fish was lovely and thick, tasty and of excellent quality and the chips that accompanied it were also spot on.The prices are a little above others in the area however as the saying goes 'you get what you pay for' and the superior quality is more than morth the little more you pay.

First came here summer last year the freshness and quality of the fish was amazing. Had the chance to visit again last week and the same, great fish really well cooked & best chips ever! If you like your fish & chips.....come here!

No selection of drinks for children, only fizzy drinks, my son doesn't like fizzy drinks so he had no drink with his kids meal. Visited Friday evening after arriving for a week's holiday.Omg! The Haddock and chips were amazing, thick white meaty fish. Was staying nearby and wanted fish and chips and saw this place had good reviews.When we arrived there was a queue outside on both sides of the shop. After asking found out the was a queue on one side to order and the other queue was to wait for collecting after ordering (would be nice if they put some signs outside to let people know and when be people turned up they had no idea where to stand)They were calling people in one at a time to order (no harm in being safe) and taking your name so they can call it once your order was ready.We queued for a really long time. There was only 2 people working and they were incredibly slow and it took forever to get the food.However, I would say that it was the best fish and chips I've had for a long time.We got the cod which was really good. Hot and fresh with a really good thin crispy batter. And the fish tasted really good.The chips were also very good. Thick and cooked perfectly and lovely and fluffy.Despite the long wait we would definitely get takeaway from here again, and I would recommend to anyone in the area.Note - they only take cash

Excellent chip shop! The food was amazing well cooked and prepared the women who were serving so polite and well mannered after a long dog walk in the rain this was what we just needed would definitely come again!!!

During covid so maybe prices reflect that but £13 for two small fish and chips is a bit much. That said the fish was not that small and there were plenty of chips. The place was very clean, and they have clearly embraced their part in keeping us covid safe, with hand cleaner available and limited people in shop.

Saturday afternoon fish and chips turned out to be disappointing. Chips were nice, however fish was dry and was if it had been cooked twice. Partner had fish bites and the batter and fish were a lot fresher and lighter. Given the price I would expect better, would not return.

This seemed to be the only chippie in the area when we visited Flamboro recently, so we tried it on the way home. Overall, it was a good outcome - both the fish and the chips tasted great.What I found somewhat intriguing was the military approach that staff took towards Covid precautions. They were dictating in quite firm and direct terms who comes in, who waits outside, how far apart etc. Then there were all the posters, with signs, notices, local, regional & national announcements about Covid related matters etc.One might argue it was a little OTT, but I personally found it quite amusing!Overall a good experience as I said, and I think we will visit again.

I love fish and Chips but they usually upset my stomach. How ever High Street Fisheries have just moved to top of my preferred Fish and chip shops along side Whiteheads at Hornsea. No up set tummy.I tried 149 Award winning fish shop along the road, How they got the award and not High street I will never know.I have used High street Fisheries a good few times and not been disappointed, only once had a fish not up to their usual standard but still good. Fish like any other food can vary in quality with age, season etc.What puts me off just now is, if you don't time it right, the size of the queue out side the Fish shop which in its self must say something about the popularity of this Fish and chip shop.

Wanted to experience Local fish and chips and this place is perfect. Fish made fresh whilst you wait, so much we couldn’t eat all of it. You won’t be disappointed 😆
