The Old Forge Restaurant, Sewerby in East Riding of Yorkshire

Tuvimos 2 comidas en The Old Forge durante nuestra estancia en Sewerby. La comida era preciosa, y los propietarios y el personal eran muy amables y serviciales. Sin duda volveremos a visitar la próxima vez que estemos en la zona!

Muy decepcionante comida muy sosa no está a la altura , el servicio tampoco es genial muy caótico ha sido muchas veces antes que una pena

Mi esposa y yo vinimos a comer el sábado 16 de noviembre. Ya lo hemos sido antes. Nos recibió el anfitrión fabuloso Eddie. Sentado en medio de la habitación al principio una mesa mejor junto a la ventana se abrió. Eddie preguntó si queríamos la mejor mesa y rápidamente nos la aclaró. Buen toque y mostró atención a sus clientes. La comida era excepcional. Teníamos entrantes de mejillones y goujones de pescado. Ambos fueron excelentes. Recomendaría ambos. Tuve al revés pollo Kiev con patatas nuevas y ensalada mixta. Estaba aprensivo de haber hecho una mala elección, pero realmente me alegré de haberlo ordenado. La mejor comida que he tenido en la zona durante mucho tiempo. Mi señora pidió el pastel de carne. Ahora había visto fotos de esto en Facebook y sabía que se veía bien. ¡Venía con patatas fritas y guisantes! Mi señora insistió en que probé y era hermosa. El relleno de pastel (filete) era increíble, muy buena pastelería también. El personal aquí es lo que hace este lugar! No solo Eddie que trata a sus huéspedes con calidez genuina, sino que cada miembro del personal que encontré fue tan educado. Reservé de nuevo antes de que me había ido por 2 semanas, ya que hay un menú de Navidad que yo y la señora quiere empezar nuestras festividades. El mejor restaurante en Bridlington/Flamborough en mi opinión.

El pub / restaurante estaba maravillosamente decorado con un ambiente realmente encantador que hizo que fuera agradable desde el principio. El personal era absolutamente increíble, no podía ser lo suficientemente servicial y aunque estaba ocupado, hicieron tiempo para venir y registrarse en nosotros varias veces. El propietario es una estrella, tan educado y amable e hizo nuestra última comida en nuestras vacaciones una fabulosa. La comida es probablemente la mejor que he tenido en mucho tiempo, y el precio era fantástico para el tamaño de la porción. Definitivamente vamos a ir aquí de nuevo la próxima vez que estemos en alcantarillado. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente! Filete de filete 11 / 10 !

Fantástico almuerzo de domingo. Excelente ambiente amable personal y deliciosa comida. La sopa de tomate fue increíble. Tristemente demasiado lleno para encajar en un desierto. Coffeex era muy bueno también.

Very impressed with food selection and presentation. Staff friendly and service exemplary. I had the Katsu chicken. Others had scampi.

Faultless, staff are really friendly and hospitable, food is great and good value, location is superb. Have visited 4 times and they have been consistently good.

After doing some shopping in Hornsea we decided to drive up the coast to Sewerby , was warmly welcomed by Eddie as usual, not booked in we were accommodated, had a lovely dinner and a sticky toffee sweet to die for. Well worth the trip up the coast.

Excellent customer service . Dominique was friendly and helpful and booked a table for us even though we arrived early and allowed us to sit in the garden before the pub opened . Wow! Great meal, service with a smile and the food was beautiful , I think the Chef was Josh. Lovely establishment and will definitely return when we are in the area again . Food was divine but the service we received from Dominique was outstanding. Thank you very much .

Came today for my mother's 70th birthday, after finding this place on Google, food was amazing the staff go above and beyond for you, would 100000% recommend, wish it was closer to Manchester as we would be here all the time. Thank you again for making my mums birthday so special

Good food in pleasant surroundings. Friendly staff. Well maintained with spotless toilets, which makes a very pleasant change from some other places you go!

We visited the old forge on 25th July it’s not our first visit it’s become one of our go to places to eat when we are on holiday in bridlington. And the plus for us it’s dog friendly as we have our Yorkshire terrier in tow. Every meal we have had here has been excellent and last nights didn’t disappoint . I always have the garlic mushrooms ( one day I will try something else ) they are to die for followed by hunters chicken then chocolate melt in the middle sponge with custard. My husband had the fish goujons and the katsu curry for main and his fave pud apple crumble & custard. Washed down with a chilled bottle of Chardonnay . Finished off with Irish coffee. The service was excellent as usual and we will be back in sept going to do Sunday lunch . Always feel relaxed & chilled. There is outdoor seating if you just want to sit admire the view with a drink and you can still order food at the bar. Tip if you want to bring the dog to sit inside it’s best to book as there are dog friendly tables but get popular.

On arrival, we was welcomed by the manager. ..who explained 95%of meals were cooked in house. I ordered a white zinfandel, then chose a veggie burger. A white wine !! was brought to me...but never mind!! When my meal arrived, I was very disappointed. The burger was tasteless (I left half),chips were dry. 2 onion rings,but no coleslaw was offered. I told the manager we were very disappointed.... his reply "well.. this place is expensive to run!! For £16.95 I expected homemade. There were no prices for deserts or drinks. This was the most expensive meal of the week... and by far the worst. To top this,as we left,the chef was sat outside vaping and scratching his hair. Not nice to see really.

It was our first time here and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent. I chose the steak pie which was home made and packed with tender steak, my friend chose the chilli meal which was equally delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was great. Loved the decor and the ambience and it was spotlessly clean. We will be visiting again to work our way through the menu!! Highly recommended.

beef Sunday dinner and a whopper fish and chips, no complaints at all, plenty of capable staff doing their upmost for everyone despite been a busy Sunday lunch.

Perfect Sunday lunch followed by lovely apple crumble , great quality and large portions, lovely friendly staff highly recommended

Fantastic restaurant. Called just on the off chance that we could have a meal after a day out. Staff were so welcoming and fitted us in . Food was absolutely delicious. Excellent service. Highly recommend Lovely end to a wonderful day out .

Apologies to Eddie and the team for the lateness of this review but Im just going through my Inbox and saw the Trip Advisor reminder. Anyway what a fantastic place to relax and have some excellent food. We live some distance from Brid however whenever we're in the area we always go to the Old Forge and have always found it to be a brilliant place to eat. This ls largely down to the quality of the food but also to Eddie who always has a relaxed and friendly manner. Really great restaurant, well done Eddie! John and Sarah

Delicious food, great service and a lovely family atmosphere. Brilliant value and would recommend to everyone, certainly well worth a visit.

Came here yesterday with my family for my sisters birthday . What a lovely place to eat and drink. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and pleasant surroundings and the food was delicious. We had mains and desserts. Also had a good choice of Gluten free options which was good for me. Would definitely recommend, and we will definitely return.

Really enjoyed our evening. Fabulous restaurant. The staff all very good & a warm welcome from Eddie. Was great to try a few new additions to the menu ie homemade steak pie & a butter chicken curry. Both delicious.

Booked Sunday lunch with the family whilst on a weekend break. Great Sunday lunch served to the table. Everything about the lunch was incredible. Portion sizes are just right as it’s incredibly filling . Ordered desserts and these were equally lovely . Would visit again

Warm welcome from Eddie and his team delicious roast Turkey and vegetables and roast potatoe and mash and homemade Yorkshire pudding and the apple crumble was to die for and the ginger sponge we recommended this restaurant highly Thanks again for a delicious lunch we will be back soon
