Booked a last minute table and so pleased that we did. Food and service were brilliant and not too hard on the pocket! We will definitely be back.

This restaurant is so nice! The food is cheaper than the other restaurants and all the staff could not be nicer to me every time I come in! Ste is THE best manager and keeps everything running so smooth when it’s busy! Couldn’t say enough nice stuff about the rest of the staff too!

Stayed here 2 nights in our motorhome with a perfect parking place behind the pub, with a trickling waterfall behind. Had some great food & drink - warning the big breakfast is Very large!!! Our favourite Timothy Taylor on offer as well. Feiendly staff & clientele. Ideal spot for visiting the Piece Hall as we were at a gig Fri night - 10 minute walk away.

This place looks lovely but that's as good as it gets. We booked and arrived on time. The waitress took us to a table but didn't say anything. The table wasn't clean, no drinks menu. We waited for over 15 minutes before we had to be asked to be served. The waitress was horrendous she didn't look interested and got our drinks order wrong. The main meal was good but we hadn't even finished our food before she tried to take it away. It then took us another 30 minutes to get the bill and another 20 minutes to pay. Overall: not great, the staff need training in actually serving people... Another good course would be... How to greet people.

We have had the odd breakfast roll and tea here and sat outside so this was our first time inside ,I needed to use the toilet upstairs and the state of them carpets upstairs were a disgrace when was the last time they saw a Hoover should have realized when given the menu because that too was dirty. It’s not hard you pick up damp cloth you clean. The full breakfast was two horrible sausages A few very finely sliced mushrooms quarter of a tomato cut in two beans and bacon were just warm .the egg was ok .and limp toast. Shocking dirty place .we only managed to eat half of it yes it’s cheap good it’s not .

Friendly staff, very inadequate sandwich filling! Paid £3.95 for an egg mayo sandwich, there was a very small blob in the centre of the t cake none around the edges and the bread took over the taste, I did ask the waitress if they had forgotten the filling, she replied no she made you an egg mayo. No attempt to rectify, also my grandson got a child’s lunch box, his sandwich was adequate but the orange was very old no flavour and extremely tough a dry. On the plus side my daughter said her pie and peas was nice. Afraid we will not be retuning.

The Cafe used to do full meals and breakfasts now it is basically a coffee shop with the old buns and cakes. We used to look forward meeting up for a Christmas breakfast prior to doing or big Christmas shop but now can't as they don't serve so we will have to shop elsewhere, can Sainsbury's afford to loose this custom for sake of a few breakfasts ?????
