Friendly staff, very inadequate sandwich filling! Paid £3.95 for an egg mayo sandwich, there was a very small blob in the centre of the t cake none around the edges and the bread took over the taste, I did ask the waitress if they had forgotten the filling, she replied no she made you an egg mayo. No attempt to rectify, also my grandson got a child’s lunch box, his sandwich was adequate but the orange was very old no flavour and extremely tough a dry. On the plus side my daughter said her pie and peas was nice. Afraid we will not be retuning.

I'm not going to lie. This place is lovely but expensive, and the food isn't that nice, if I'm honest! Staff are friendly! Just didn't enjoy stale food!

Lovely pub in fantastic location..Staff very friendly.. Only thing for me was the food and bland uninspiring restaurant..Think smaller and more tasty menu...and a cosy restaurant would give the ultimate experience..

Mereside CentreI wanted to write a review on this place because I'd read a couple bad reviews and... I don't understand how you could rate this place low! This place is great, great location, the scones are TO DIE FOR and the rest of the food was lovely, hearty portions. I would recommend this place to anyone, we had the burger and the savoury tart— we were not disappointed. Definately plan to return at some point.

Blackledge, The Piece HallWent here for afternoon tea on mother's day to realise that the afternoon tea which they are charging over 30 pounds for does NOT include tea. This is ridiculous as it's literally in the name! Charging almost the same rates as Betty's without the tea and the service you get at Betty's is beyond a joke and they should be ashamed.
