Great Evening Event entertainment Space: This event place to hire overlooking the lake at Shibden Park is a hidden gem. Hired the venue and the catering supplied by Coffee culture in the park for a 60th Birthday event for 120 people in an evening and I couldn't fault the service or experience. Holly the manager helped us plan the evening and catering and she was so helpful with food choices and liaising with things like flowers and entertainers we had booked. On the evening of the event it was all nicely presented the staff were amazingly helpful and worked hard and the the food was absolutely amazing. We had so much nice feedback from our guests about the food which was fantastic. I could definitely recommend this venue in Shibden for an evening event - its a hidden gem and in an evening the park is beautifully tranquil - the food was outstanding and the staff worked hard to make our celebrations a success.

Cafe in a park, nice location, cafe food at "Coffee Culture" hints at slighly overpriced grub. Paying to park unless you walk in, great place to bring kids but cannot go far on the flat.

Stopping just near the park, visited the cafe for scone and hot chocolate one day before heading into Halifax, then went for breakfast the next day before a walk round. Lovely food, nice staff and great surroundings.

A spacious cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Good selection of foods catering for dietary requirements. Friendly staff. Was lovely to sit in the sun watching the wildlife. Plenty of parking. I would recommend.

I wanted two ice creams and was charged £7.45 then went to choose the flavours which were covered with lids. A rum and raisin when uncovered was just bits around the edge which were quite dry. I then asked for a raspberry ripple which had no ripple but was a pink mess and the lass broke the cornet putting it in. I will never go there again!

Very disappointed in cafe culture and embarrassed! I went in with a friend from out of town for coffee and cake the choice of cake was terrible and expensive we chose a scone which was dry but my main complaint was we didn’t even get a plate we had to cut butter and jam it on a napkin.The coffee was very nice though.Also the cleanliness wasn’t good the floor was very dirty.

I've been going down to Shibden park for a number of years and calling in for coffee at the cafe and today a assistant came to talk to the lady I was with not to me he wasn't man enough to talk to me direct . He stated to the lady who was with me that our dogs were too noisy and stated that we dominated the sofa that was there for any body to sit on basically said we dominated the sofas if there were no people sat there we like comfort so we chose to sit there. And today we were accused of loitering for the sofa to come vacant but we're using the toilet toilet before we walked round the park the assistant called us stalkers So now I don't think the cafe or that particular person doesn't like dogs We found this male assistant very offensive

Perfectly nice people and a great location but that’s what they are trading on. The food I had was a disgrace. £7 for a toasted sandwich made with supermarket white sliced bread that tasted like cardboard. A few Doritos thrown on the plate but no garnish. Next time we want to enjoy the park we will bring a picnic.

Good food freshly prepared great value for money

Been a few times but this time very poor, bland food and staff who should maybe concentrate on their job instead of laughing at customers. Especially when its busy on a sunny day.

A great location being in Shibden Park so made a nice stop off for some lunch after having a walk around Shibden Hall grounds. It's dog friendly as well which was a bonus for us! A little bit pricey for a toastie (£6.95 I think it was) but I suppose as a one off, it's not too bad. Great location though!

Once again the member of staff didn't listen to the order, my partner ordered, two white toast with two fried eggs and two sausages twice, explaining that meant two plates with the same on both plates, only one plate of food arrived. When we asked where the second plate was, my goodness what a performance of checking the till receipt, then two assistants coming to tell us, as we had only paid £13 we should have realised that wasn't enough for what we had ordered, NO we are the customers and trust the assistant to be able to listen and do her job properly, we always have to ask for extra hot, and strong coffee for our latte otherwise it comes like lukewarm milk. Our last visit I wanted brown toast with eggs and sausage my partner white toast with scrambled eggs, guess what scrambled eggs came on the brown toast. I am afraid that we will not be visiting again. As I used to be a Catering Manager and a Mystery Shopper I find the situation very annoying and disappointing.

The order that came out to us was incorrect however they apologised and said our food would be 5 mins they then came and apologised for the delay again. They were very helpful. It is very noisy in the cafe but there was plenty of seating both inside and out. Will definitely visit again.

Spacious cafe, very clean, fabulous views, plus outside seating. Had large breakfast, a butty and 2 coffees at just over 20 pounds, so usual cafe prices. Service fast, coffee tasty and pipping hot, came in big mug which I liked as often cafes have tiny cups. The panini and chips maybe bit pricey at 9.95? Would def come here again

Cafe looks great but the service was nonexistent. Quite a queue with 3/4 people standing around and only 1 young girl serving. I didn't bother staying !!

We are regular visitors to the park and went today for a late lunch. The cafe closes at 5pm and we sat down to eat at 3.30. Within minutes chairs were being placed on tables all around us but worse, they began sweeping the floor in the area we were sitting and right next to our table. I asked them to stop while we were eating but they said they had to carry on. As I am asthmatic I was very uncomfortable with this. When I spoke to the Manager he apologised but said they liked to keep it clean because food gets spilled but there was nothing on the floor except dust!. It was 3.30, surely it could have waited! I found this totally unacceptable and it completely spoiled our lunch. We could not move because the larger area was full. Very poor customer service!

we went as a travel group of individuals with learning disabilities, and upon arrival we was made to feel very welcome by the lovely friendly staff who was very kind and patient when our group was ordering their food. the food was brilliant quality and the entire group left feeling extremely satisfied and everybody had commented about how lovely the staff was. we would definitely be visiting here again.

Stopped for a bite to eat and was surprised at the quantity and quality of the four meals we had. Then service was excellent

Clean tables and menus. The menu is simple, but there is something for everyone. Ordered cheese omelette, chips and coleslaw. Cooked well and the coleslaw was lovely. Ordered large lattes, which had a lovely strong milky coffee taste. Could not fault anything. Well worth a visit.

Dreadful. Staff rude and clearly didn’t want to there. Too busy chatting, dancing and waving tea towels about. Felt like a bunch of unsupervised teenagers were running the place. Goats cheese and sweet chilli toastie looked dreadful with some crisps on the side. Won’t be going back and would strongly advise anyone else considering going not to bother. Especially if you’ve been to Shibden Hall, going here afterwards ruined the whole experience.

11/10 the staff are really helpful and welcoming. Seem like really nice and genuine people, really helpful for me and my mum. Would definitely come again just for a gossip with them

The coffee was good but the toasted goat's cheese and sweet chilli sandwich was disappointing for the price. Flat as a pancake with poor white bread and some cheap nacho chips as a side - would have benefitted from a salad.

What a joke. Crazy overpriced dull food. Coffee was over £3 a cup and awful. No discernible difference between the latte and cappuccino. Food was rubbish. Dull. Stale bread. Chips were undercooked and rock hard. Staff were so rude. Menus were sticky to the touch. Advertising for new staff and signs up saying verbal abuse won’t be tolerated. Made me think it’s a) a bad atmosphere to work in so everyone leaves and b) Some one probably spoke back to the waiting staff as rudely as they spoke to us

Came here with great expectations but sadly did not exceed them, bland food that wasn’t cooked and over priced. The plus points are there’s plenty of choice but the food was bland and I could not feasibly recommend. Save your money and get a takeout tea or coffee and an ice cream.

We had an excellent Birthday full English breakfast for my Husband's Birthday, everything was spot on, not greasy at all. Great coffee and the staff were very friendly too. It was clean and well organised. We went for a lovely walk afterwards, a great spot and we'd definitely return if we visit the area again in the future.

Visited the park and cafe this afternoon. Ordered 2 x bacon & cheese panini’s & a portion of chips for my friend and I. We was really disappointed. The food was tasteless & hardly no cheese in the sandwich. The chips had a funny taste to them as well. Cost us £22 in total and definitely not worth the money.

Bizarre system of service where you have to guess which of the two counters is serving what, risking being sent to queue a second time. Ignore the many signs instructing customers where to stand and what to do, they seem to make service up as they go along. Nice coffee though.

Lovely setting, in the park before or after you visit, The main attraction, it was a wonderful day, sitting outside enjoying the sun and having some lunch and a coffee. Really enjoyable.

The markings due to covid on the floor are like a puzzle, no idea where to stand, the food is over priced and the assistant didnt bother to tell me to wait inside the builing to collect my food she gave me a number, so waited ages out on a picnic bench then came back in to be told they shout them out inside, really unorganized.

I use the cafe quite regular and generally it's ok but I can't understand why they take all the table and chairs in an hour before it closes then lock the doors half hour before it's suppose to close. The park is really busy and lots of people are wondering why they can't get in at 3.30 when it's not suppose to close until 4.00 which is too early anyway. The staff are obviously keen to get home but abit too keen.

Always feel disappointed after visiting here and not sure why, just seems a shame that somewhere in such a nice location always seems so disorganised. The only staff member wearing a mask or any PPE was the las making the coffee, there was no screen...

This is a lovely place sadly the staff in the cafe have no clue about hygiene none of the staff was wearing gloves handling cups the passing them to customers I think in this current climate they would have at least used their braincells and had some method of control for contamination

I was told off for bringing my 2 small dogs into the cafe as it wasn’t wet or cold enough.(7c on the day in January. ) The waitress was very unwelcoming and said we could stay as we were only having a drink but only because I pointed out to her that there was another dog there with a couple who were eating a meal. The same waitress although she had the time to complain that I had brought my dogs inside couldn’t be bothered to clear the dirty dishes from the table which the previous customers had left. If the dogs were not allowed inside for hygiene reasons then why leave tables dirty?

Nice to warm up after a walk round Shibden

It's just great. Coffee cakes meals all delicious. We love to go at least once a week. If it's cold or wet and not too full we can eat inside with our 2 small dogs. Magical view all year round.

When you search this cafe on Google it informs you it is open until 4pm, which it is but it stops serving food at 3pm. When we arrived at 3.05pm we were told we could just have cake, we found this disappointing and asked that the update their information to show this as we had been sent down by Shibden Hall staff. We sat down with scones and drinks the gentleman making the coffees came over with his phone to show us where it showed the serving times on their website, it was strange and intimidating. When we were leaving there was a new lady behind the counter so I asked for a number to complain about his behaviour. She gave me one and told me who to ask for and he started shouting across the cafe to my sister that we were rude. It would have been funny if it wasn't so strange. This is a tourist attraction and we were made it feel so unwelcome by that gentleman, unfortunately they have a monopoly. It is a shame as the Christmas Fair was on, the land train was running, it should have been a pleasant day and they could have taken advantage of this and opened later.

Modern cafe set in the grounds of Shibden Hall and Park.. Had tea and cake there on a very sunny Saturday pm with friends. Gets busy and there were queues at lunch time but bear in mind it was a heritage weekend and the weather was so good. What a beautiful park! and the Hall is wonderful .

If you have young children take a picnic for them as you won't get any food here. Tried to get some sandwiches today and they said it would take up to an hour to make sandwiches.....with hungry children to feed an hour is ridiculous.

DISGUSTING ! - Took 2 babies in here today. Witnessed a young man using a very dirty dish cloth to wipe the baby chairs ! Then went to wipe a dirty table with the same dish cloth ! It is obvious this cloth had been used probably all day long for the tables. You have no idea how germs are transmitted, so disgusting you can't even look after baby chairs in a professional manner. If that isn't bad enough we had to put up with 2 large dogs at a table next to us, these were big lurcher dogs eating & licking off the floor, they were not guide dogs. WHAT ARE DOGS DOING IN A CAFE WHERE CHILDREN & BABIES ARE ??? You say on your website you have a 5 star hygiene rating - This is not the case in my opinion, you seem to have no idea about hygiene. What if the dogs had bit a child & what if a baby contracted a bug from your high chairs & dirty dish cloths ? Not a safe place for children or babies - Your Own Fault You Got This Bad Review !

Don't always have correct ice cream and cones are often broken. It's also quite expensive, but they do sell a fair variety of things and it is very handy.

visited cafe whilst visiting shibden park ,breakfast always great ,good valve for money ,just over £7.00 for FULL english ,which breakfast including hot drink and toast ,all fresh and piping hot ,served at the table ,great venue ,dog friendly ,able to dine inside in the warm with our wee dog during the cold weather ,which is a bonus ( we usually sit outside in the warmer weather or when its busy ) friendly staff and clean venue ,dog bowls always available and dog chews for sale -30 pence each ! highly recommended !

Recently been during the week with my Mum for a walk around the park and some light lunch. Both times we had sandwiches which tasted freshly made and were food delicious, service was very quick and the staff were all really pleasant and friendly. The scones certainly tasted homemade and were very nice. I would definitely recommmed a visit.

Excellent place to be on a sunny day

Me and my sister went for a walk round the park at 9am after learning that Ogden wasn't opening till 10. We were so glad! We were both hungry so decided to order some breakfast; we were served by a lovely young man who couldn't do enough for us and was very welcoming. We sat outside with our dog whilst we ate. From ordering and paying for the food, it took around 15 minutes to be served to us, which I think is brilliant timing, just long enough to know that the food was fresh.

Took a friend for lunch. Very impressed. Reasonably priced, wholesome food. I'm a vegan, my friend is gluten-free. Not an issue at all. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Great food. Thanks.
