These amazing doughnuts are huge and tasty and whoever designs them they definitely have a good taste pallet, have a good Sunday delivery service as long as you order by 12 on Saturday ,only problem I've found is that their doughnuts are so amazing that now other doughnuts even Krispy Kreme don't taste good in comparison

Went out for a drive in the country with my dad and stumbled across this little gem. Friendly polite and well presented serving staff. We both had a pint of Taylors Landlord which was excellent. I had the belly pork while my dad had the giant yorkshire pudding with minted lamb stew, Both well presented and good portions and delicious. Will definitely be back.

Disappointing visit - the surroundings are okay, prices good but the chicken on both our ‘speciality sandwiches’ was very dry and so tough to eat I didn’t bother. The coffee was a good size but hardly tasted of anything. There are so many other places in Hebden Bridge we definitely won’t be coming here again

Back on holiday in the area and pencilled in a couple of visits to the Hare and Hounds after visiting and enjoying the food and ambience a couple of years ago. Had an evening meal ( fish and chips ) and a Sunday lunch this time around. Whilst the food was of good quality, tasty and enjoyable for both meals, the big shocker was the increase in price from two years ago. The old menu was still in the welcome pack and on average the meal prices had increased by nearly fifty per cent on average up from 12.50 to 18.50. I appreciate that hospitality has been hit very hard across the board by the conditions imposed upon the industry, but the prices are now very steep for pub grub. Still a very nice place though and did enjoy the meals.

We had a lovely visit to the Shepherd’s Rest for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent, with very generous portions, and the service was warm and friendly. The location is picturesque and a good start point or end point for several walking routes. Highly recommended!

Had the soup and a sandwich served with a nice cup of tea.The salmon and cream cheese sandwich was lovely but the tomato soup was unusual,it was like eating a bowl of chopped tomatoes ! Would have been 5 stars if the soup had been better.

This coffee shop is an absolute treasure. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the friendliest smiles and the kind of warmth that makes you feel instantly at home. The staff are genuinely lovely—attentive, welcoming, and always up for a friendly chat. And the coffee? Divine. Every cup is crafted to perfection, rich and smooth, and exactly what you need on a Hebden day. The cakes are something else entirely—homemade, beautifully presented, and honestly, to die for. I could happily work my way through the whole cake display! Whether you’re after a peaceful spot to relax or a catch-up with friends, this place is perfect. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Been here before but was closed ,due to staff issues, so we tried it again. Place was busy, 12:15. Placed order for 2 ( omellete & toastie sandwich) 12:20, food served at 1:15. Table next door waited longer and had to gulp it down as they had a train to catch. They too had toasties. Food, when it came, was good but again had next doors order mixed with ours. No worries as we are pensioners and used to it. Service was good apart from plate mix up. Must try harder!

We have just had a really lovely overnight stay at the white lion. Everything about it was great. The staff went over and above to make us feel welcome , especially Joe and the young lady who was on reception duty. Thank you so much. The room was excellent with a lovely bathroom including a roll top bath. The complementary breakfast was a treat. It’s the second time I have stayed here. I came back as my first stay with my daughter was so good. This time I brought my husband who is already planning to make another booking! Highly recommended.

Dreadful took 15 minutes to get served even though only one customer in frount of me. Took 50 minutes for food to arrive then it was only my partners that came out. Then they served another table before eventually bringing my food. Beans were stone cold and they forgot the cheese. Then they arrived with a cheeseburger which we hadn’t ordered. Coke was flat and a cheap brand. Toilets filthy and full of mould. Absolute disaster avoid at all costs
