Bit of a tricky narrow lane that leads you here, that said; the service is spot on, the food and drinks are delicious and the inn has a relaxed atmosphere. Will be here again…..👍🏻

I am coeliac so eating out is a challenge. However I was so impressed with the staff and their reassuring knowledge. I was even asked if I was coeliac or gluten free. The food was delicious. My husband said his steak and ale pie was the best he's ever had in a pub. Excellent job and well worth a visit.

Lacking customer service and patience. I asked for the cheese and onion pie for my mum. To then be told they didn’t have any left. (Usually when I go to a restaurant/ pub dinning I get told what’s not available on the menu after being seated) but, then again I forget the menus were chucked down and the waitress walked off. So, on ordering the rest of group ordered and I was still having to go through the menu to help my mum. The waitress then rolling her eyes and putting her note pad across her mouth then decided to tell us what wasn’t available on the menu. God forbid if I’d of asked the waitress to come back in a couple more minutes. Having my mum who’s of an older age and can’t see a menu due to bad eye sight was then felt rushed. The waitress was not helpful or kind at all. I didn’t have the time to go through the menu and felt so pressured to make a decision. The huffing and eye rolling isn’t very nice. She’s stood behind the bar like a bouncer with a face like a slapped bum. Not welcoming at all!!!!. I dine here quite regularly with friends and honestly very disappointed today taking my mum and some of her friends for lunch.

First visit today. I saw an advert or review on fb a few months ago and had good vibes. We had a run out today and decided to make it in our way to call. We hadn't booked but a table for two was found for us in the conservatory. There was a wide choice on the menu and reasonably priced by today's standards. We had the broccoli potato stilton bake and the scampi. Both were good portions, nicely cooked and presented and tasted delicious. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, always on hand . Yes our first visit yesterday but definitely not our last. A lovely pub with lots of parking with outside seating in a beautiful location. Thankyou.

Perfect Mid-Week Dinner at The Top Brink Inn Located in the scenic town of Todmorden, The Top Brink Inn proved to be the ideal spot for a mid-week, early dinner for two. We reserved a table for 5pm on a Thursday. The restaurant was not too busy, and the service was impressively quick, offering a decent menu with a variety of options. For starters, we shared a bowl of delicious olives and hummus, which was a delightful beginning to our meal. For our main courses, we chose burritos and chilli con carne, both of which were incredibly tasty and well-prepared. The total cost of the meal, including two drinks, came to under £50. This represented excellent value for money. Overall, The Top Brink Inn offers a wonderful dining experience in Todmorden and is definitely worth a visit.

First time visiting Top Brink Inn. The location is nice... Food service not the best, not understanding the menu. Struggling to understand what a large wine is or a bottle..maybe inexperienced Waiter. More training needed. Food was ok standard. Nothing special. Kids machines or corner where machines where. Completely out of date. Nothing for children to do. Yes ok it's not a family oriented pub. But as least get little something for children to do. Very small back area. Needs something up to date. Windows in family room very dusty deco out of date. Really sorry but nothing more then a 3* ALOT of improvements needed. Wouldn't come back. I have been coming here for Sunday lunch for years but will not be in the future. It has become quite tired looking inside the old section, the extension though is quite good. The carpets are worn and the radiators in the toilets have turned to rust, the food is now quite bland with tasteless vegetables and it's quite expensive for what you get. It's essentially expensive pub grub in a country pub atmosphere but with average food. Maybe I'm a bit fussy but there is no excuse for vegetables to be tasteless. I have edited the review after the reply from the owners, the photos were from a previous visit.

We visit here quite regularly but we are not regulars if you know what I mean. As usual everything was just as you you would expect. Friendly and efficient service without being rushed. We took our friend from Wakefield who catches the train to Todmorden where we pick him up. After ordering drinks we were busy catching up so the waitress had to come back a couple of times before we were ready to order but this wasn't a problem. The food is traditional Pub Fayre but always freshly cooked and delicious. This is our friends favourite in the area and always asks to go there. It's also on of ours we also go with other local friends but in the evening. A Firm Favourite.

Yes prices have gone up but I’m not coming here to eat fast food at Poundland prices or go to a contemporary place anywhere in the country. I like the individuality of the Top Brink and it’s a good local place I’ll keep coming back to.

Going down hill fast. My family have been regulars here for the past 40 years. We still go atleast twice a month and it's just not nearly what it was. I used to always get a Cumberland sausage but now the price of a sausage is so extortionate i opt for a light bites steak. Each and everytime I ask for it medium rare and it arrives well cooked like cardboard. We went as a large group recently for a family occasion. It took us all being sat for an hour and requesting someone take our order 3 times before anyone actually did. The staff, bar one gentleman seemed to not care. When my food arrived my steak was again cardboard and I had an undercooked egg with raw egg white all on the top with a cold yolk. I kindly asked if they give it a few more minutes so the egg was properly cooked and it came back a few moments later cold and raw ontop again. I just accepted it and continued to enjoy a social evening with my family. But we all agreed the service and food is not nearly what it was. Such a shame.

Wednesday visit, four drinks, two starters and two mains £65 and Friday three drinks and two mains £42. The reason I’ve started with this is I found it to be such good value, as not only is the food delicious the portions are huge. Also as a vegetarian I had multiple choices ,not just the vegetarian option which I normally get. I had halloumi fries and they were the best I’ve ever had, in fact to the point unless I come back here , I’m not going to bother having them again. I had cheese and onion pie on the Wednesday and it was lovely. On the Friday I had the potato spinach cheese bake with garlic bread and it was just so tasty. My husband had halloumi flat bread on the Wednesday and a vegetable burger on the Friday and said they were both delicious. We had no room for deserts but they did look amazing. The staff were lovely and very accommodating as we arrived early both times and were seated no problem. If you’re looking for a quintessential Yorkshire country pub then this is it.

A lovely welcome after a wet walk to Stoodley Pike, and portion sizes to match hiking appetites. Really good pub grub, the steak and ale pie was vast with rich gravy and a generous filling of slow cooked beef. Lots of fresh veg on the side. Friends had veggie options and also enjoyed them . The ‘small onset’ versions are also substantial. Lovely interesting decor, great selection of local beers. Good facilities. Would happily go back.

Haven’t visited this pub in years ( it was my local so was excited to visit a place from the past). The decor has changed for the better, but personally I feel the food has gone downhill. It tasted more like a cook rather than a chef. I was very disappointed. The chips tasted like they were frozen , the bun used for the burger tasted very cheap, and the price of £14.00 I felt was over priced for what you got.
