These amazing doughnuts are huge and tasty and whoever designs them they definitely have a good taste pallet, have a good Sunday delivery service as long as you order by 12 on Saturday ,only problem I've found is that their doughnuts are so amazing that now other doughnuts even Krispy Kreme don't taste good in comparison

Went out for a drive in the country with my dad and stumbled across this little gem. Friendly polite and well presented serving staff. We both had a pint of Taylors Landlord which was excellent. I had the belly pork while my dad had the giant yorkshire pudding with minted lamb stew, Both well presented and good portions and delicious. Will definitely be back.

What a huge disappointment . This was my favourite lunch place. Ordered beetroot and feta salad today. Such a shame as it came on a side plate . Very tiny portion and I was hungry when I left. My partners dinner plate was great and his food was enough. I had to go over to the Exited Goat for a sandwich . Such a shame. Needless to say I won’t be eating at Squeeze again . I did complain . The chef said it was a starter. There’s no starters on the menu and for the price it wasn’t worth it.

Disappointing visit - the surroundings are okay, prices good but the chicken on both our ‘speciality sandwiches’ was very dry and so tough to eat I didn’t bother. The coffee was a good size but hardly tasted of anything. There are so many other places in Hebden Bridge we definitely won’t be coming here again

Me and my husband ordered a takeaway Christmas Dinner (one Gluten Free) which we picked up on Christmas Eve and reheated and ate on Christmas Day as we were visiting Hebden Bridge from Birmingham. It was lovely and worked out really well for us. The food here always tastes so good and home cooked. It's definitely my favourite place in the country for a Sunday roast as well.

Had the soup and a sandwich served with a nice cup of tea.The salmon and cream cheese sandwich was lovely but the tomato soup was unusual,it was like eating a bowl of chopped tomatoes ! Would have been 5 stars if the soup had been better.

Been here before but was closed ,due to staff issues, so we tried it again. Place was busy, 12:15. Placed order for 2 ( omellete & toastie sandwich) 12:20, food served at 1:15. Table next door waited longer and had to gulp it down as they had a train to catch. They too had toasties. Food, when it came, was good but again had next doors order mixed with ours. No worries as we are pensioners and used to it. Service was good apart from plate mix up. Must try harder!

Tried to come in today for a coffee after a long hike. There was no sign on the door telling us whether we could bring the dog in or not so I popped in to ask. The only sign on the door was “Walkers Welcome” and a window full of Christmas stencils. After being told that dogs could not enter, we walked out and I overheard a member of staff say, “well there is a sign”. After walking around Hebden, we wondered back past and there is no sign on the door telling us that dogs are not welcome. Looks like a lovely coffee shop, will probably go elsewhere in future based off the above interaction.

A day out in Hebden Bridge on Monday the 30th of December 2024. Looked through to window at 13.30 to see plenty of empty tables. I thought won't be a problem to eat here. Wrong! "Table for three please?". Quick as a flash the abrupt reply from the young girl was, "We're not accepting walk-ins." No checking, no explanation. Left feeling that we had done something wrong just by daring to present ourselves. We hear so much about the challenges facing hospitality these days. Not at the White Lion though. They just turn people away and are not even nice about it. Next it was The Shoulder of Mutton which I could see was full, "Do you have a table for thee coming up?" "I'm really sorry, there's nothing and I have people waiting." was the polite response from the woman there. Off now to The Old Gate which was also busy. "Do you have a table for thee please?" The woman there stated, "Would you mind waiting a few minutes as I have a couple of tables coming up?" "Not at all" I replied. We were seated in that time frame, the food was hot and delicious, the staff were friendly, helpful and appeared happy to work there. We felt valued as customers. What a contrast.
