The best restaurants serving British food in Bradford Yorkshire and The Humber

Booked today after looking for somewhere that served decent food, have been around most places near me and to be honest they all pretty much samey. Spoke to a lady at the turkey inn and asked if a table was free for me and me missus which she set up for us and to be honest I was not disappointed. From entering the massive car park to getting into this clean welcoming pub was a good experience , when we ordered the food was great. The selection of beers from a great cellar to the log fire it was a lovely experience I had steak suet pudding with chunky chips and to be fair it was f**king awesome and filling My partner had the fish pie, although just mainly salmon I thought it could have done with some other fish in there but she said it was awesome All in all I'm keeping this pub on my regular list to visit Cannot wait to go back again Highly recommend you book before as it's a secret that WILL get out as a great meal out

The food is lovely and the service is excellent and very friendly. We come here at least once a month for Sunday lunch with family and friends

Firstly I'd like say the staff were all extremely friendly and attentive, the food however was extremely lack lustre extremely bland and very under seasoned, the pesto didn't have any flavour at all as with alioli, the lamb was flavourless and at £30 I'd expect it taste of something the entire meal for two cost over £100 and it wasn't worth it in my honest opinion extremely disappointing

Lovely little canal side cafe, lots of features, with beautiful scenery all around.

Stumbled across this place today. Not disappointed. The staff was delightful. Extremely helpful. The food was lovely we had a full English. Coffee was lovely. The bathrooms were lovely too. We will definitely visit again. Thank you for a lovely breakfast

We picked up a box of 4 fondant fancies last week which were amazing! Not cheap, but worth the money. Had to queue for a while which was annoying as we didn't have much time, but other than that, would recommend.

So disappointed to write this review but feel it’s needed. This has been our number one spot for lunch or a coffee and cake for years and the food and drinks always really good but not anymore. The last visit a few months ago was average and thought it was a one off but having visited again somethings definitely off. Had a wrap which was almost inedible. Stale and covered with deep fried chunks of what was once halloumi and dripping in cheap honey it was gross. Not what I was expecting at all! I’m actually surprised how you could take something that sounded so wholesome and make it so disgusting! And so expensive. I sat watching all the amazing looking sandwiches coming out from the bakery opposite at half the price gutted at my choice. Decided against cake and coffee esp as I saw some come out which were barely a portion and then witnessed a mixed up order get taken from one table and given to the right table despite the customer having already stirred and had the coffee etc so doubt we will ever go again!

Wonderful food at very reasonable prices, with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all very attentive and helpful, but a particular mention has to be given to Peggy who made our experience all the more enjoyable!

Hey! We stayed in Haworth from Mon-Fri. On arrival we found the Steam Brewery was closed for refurb. I was, to say the least, err...miffed! However, Thursday the bar reopened. Hip, hip hooray! Paid the required visit. Great stuff. Wonderful bar, atmospheric and friendly. Too many dogs for my liking ! Early days, food not yet available. Great beer...obviously. I wish them well, and will visit next time.

Fabulous 3 course meal for £35, the slow cooked beef was delicious and so was the turkey. Excellent service and great ambience. Such a quirky dining experience right in the heart of Haworth main street. Highly recommended

Just had a fabulous Sunday roast here. Huge portion along with an extra bowl of veg! Very tasty. Fab staff who are friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be going again and would recommend

Second time visiting, had great food and excellent service both times.

Called in at the Waggon & Horses by chance after needing to go out for a ride and needing something to help us as a family , to uplift our spirits after losing my husband .very very recently. . The food was excellent , the best chips ever, pie was delicious, atmosphere warm, relaxing , also the friendly owner was so welcoming.couldn’t finish all my food regrettably , as it was a good sized portion , so we’ll be definitely be back for more ,thank you from the three of us .

Booked for lunch. Only a couple more tables with diners so no atmosphere and upstairs closed. Two things we wanted were not available - on a Saturday! Very overpriced at £9 for a salad which was mainly lettuce or a sandwich with dry white bread. A bit grubby and tired.
