Great bar and excellent staff. Pool,Darts and footy on the TV. What more do you need.

Love this place, know the manager very well and all the DJ's. Great atmosphere with great music, goos crowd and always made to feel welcome.

A pub with screens everywhere...

The crown is a great pub with all the sports you can want on several screens. Good drinks in a clean and tidy environment

Would be better if the music started after the football was on. Cheep drinks

Very decent boozer perfect if you’re a football fan - massive projector against the far wall to watch on

People vaping inside mostly under aged drinkers

It's OK in here unless you get in snug it's comfy it's a benches and uncomfortable

Great sports bar with a lively atmosphere, Bar staff were on point with their service and a laugh to talk to! Would highly recommend going here, especially for live sports as they have all sorts going on. Connor the bar tender was a funny lad, terrible dad jokes but was a good effort!

Had a great time at the new Crown Sports Bar on Ivegate, really refreshing to see something new and exciting on the street. Great prices and friendly staff. Will be back

Lovely place. Very accomodating for my partner who is in a mobility scooter. Opened the side door for us to get in where there was a ramp into the main bar area. Reasonably priced drinks. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Not a sports person myself but is definitely idea if you want to catch a game with a pint.

Nice cozy place to have fun with friends ...they have pool table with a match day is a perfect to venture out in this cold with wide range of beer and hard drinks to serve.

The Old Crown is a lovely social pup to have a drink with friends.

Went in on Saturday night, great entertainment, good atmosphere and reasonable priced drinks would go again, great place.

Hadn't been in this place for over 20 years , it's most definitely changed. But the beers better than it was then and it's a lot cleaner.

Can't rate this place fairly. It was a bank holiday weekend and the place was full to the rafters no room to move. (Which is a great review in its self). Bet was good not over priced.

It has a new name, It was a good night for music, but the lemonade in the shandy was flat.

It was nice going in there for a nice drink and catch up for my ex fiance 65th birthday but unfortunately when we went to Churchills to meet up with family he collapsed and passed away I'm just so glad u got to have a birthday drink in our old haunts god love him RIP Bob 🙏 xxx

Very loud (sat eve). Go here if you want to listen to loud music, and don't go here if you want a quiet drink. 😁

Nice to see this old pub still going,sports on tvs,toilets a bit of a let down,looked like someone had tried to punch every wall in sight,staff polite and welcoming,good choice of beers,bar snacks only.

Would be ok if strippers came back 😆 🤣

We regularly go on a sat night to see the bands,always a good atmosphere and some great live music 😀

Beer not so good, atmosphere was ok . Minimum spend at the bar before a card is accepted.

Friendly staff and place to drink,cheap too

Funny one this' the heavens opened up. And we popped in to get out of the rain. Glad we did. Bar staff were great gave us a towel to dry off. Showed us to a nice seat Took our orders for drinks. our first impressions was what a nice clean place Staff full of banter, loverly warm atmosphere.. Not bad for a place we could of missed. We will go back on our next visit without a doubt...

Only stayed for one but it was a lovely pub, great music and toilets were decent

After being shut for over 10 years and a mega cost refit, I think I was expecting more, the only difference was no pool table, a non-sticky carpet and different beers. It was just a redecorated rough town centre pub with awful toilets.

Can be slow at the bar at times but mainly due to amounts of people in on a Saturday night

Amongst other projects I play guitar in rock band "The 1960 Four" is always a pleasure to play here. Great, recently renovated pub with amazing clientele. Definitely recommended.

Ordered John Smith's and a Carling but didn't quite taste right. Not sure if it is a one time problem. Nothing wrong with the staff or prices though both seem respectable

Re-opened after years of closure this pub has been refurbished. Still full of old blokes. Sports TV takes away any ambience. Not for me.
