I have never tasted a roast beef yorkie wrap as tasty as this ! Absolutely beautiful with roast potatoes and plenty of gravy .. will deffo be ordering again and added bonus is 20% of when you spend £15 ! Happy Tuesday 😊

What a fantastic gastro pub this is. My Husband myself and Mum drove from Macclesfield to Bradford to meet my Niece her Husband and my new 2 month old Great Niece. The pub is modern and decorated beautifully and the staff and food amazing. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us and making the day very special. Would definitely recommend the Royal. Just a shame we don't live closer.

Took just over 40 minutes for the food to arrive after ordering, no warning of a long wait or acknowledgment that it has been a long time. However, the food was amazing (and was worth the wait!) My steak burger was amazing! Clearly homemade but cooked perfectly with a lovely flavour and texture. Good size, soft and juicy inside, and smothered in melty cheese. The beef brisket on top was also really flavoursome and went perfectly with the burger meat. The bun was also really soft and fresh and didn't fall apart at all. My wife had the royal calzone which was also amazing! Some of the next pizza dough I've ever tasted. Filled with good quality 'toppings' and served with a jug of lovely tomato sauce (although it was a bit unexpectedly spicy) We will definitely be back next time we're in the area, and I highly recommend the food here. (Hopefully the long wait for the food was a one off, but it was still worth the wait!)

I rarely leave reviews but this dining experience stood out. Wonderful and friendly service...the food was amazing...the best sea bass I've ever had. I was just popping in as ot was the closest to a workshop I'd been on. What a hidden gem of a place

Fantastic, great food excellent staff and a great atmosphere, new menu. Had the chicken chasuuer (think I’ve spelt that right) it was a different take but was to die for.oh and starter was hassleback potatoes, bloody loved them. I’ll always be a regular here

Staff are warm, welcoming and attentive. I have been quite a few times now and I’ve never had one complaint about the food. It’s always above and beyond so compliments to the chef too. I’d recommend this to anybody it won’t disappoint you.

Have eaten here lots over the years. Always better to book on a Sunday to be sure you get a table! We recommend the Royal (Steak) Pie best! Just wish they had not taken sausages off the children’s menu as that is the only thing our little one will eat and sadly means we no longer visit. Staff are always friendly! Always busy when we come but enjoyable!

Absolutely perfect evening spent celebrating my mums 70th . Nothing was too much for the staff having to accommodate 20 of us, and the food was as lovely as always . 10/10 xxx

Nice waiter and atmosphere but not a place I would recommend to anyone for food. I paid £13 for a pizza to wait for over half an hour and only got my pizza handed to me when I said I need to take it to go now at which point is miraculously appeared in 2 minutes and has been burned to the point where even the online black slices tasted like charcoal from being dark underneath. Absolutely would not recommend for dining

Food was delicious as always. Delivery was late and the driver rang to say he couldn't find us. We live on a main road, easy to find yet he was lost.

Came here one lunchtime, there were 2 other tables occupied and we were shown to a table. Drinks arrived promptly and our order was taken. The young person asked us a few times if we wanted further drinks, once whilst we waited for the food to arrive. We only ordered off the lunch menu so thought that it would arrive quickly. The 2 other tables food came out first and we had another 5-10 minute wait for ours. I ordered the beer battered “haddock” ciabatta (came with chips and salad) and the other sandwich was the Philly cheese steak sandwich (again chips and salad on the side). I am not sure it was haddock and the batter was not nice, became soggy quickly. The steak was tough and chewy, but was informed it was tasty. We opted to have pudding and when it came out it looked nice, we had cherry Bakewell tart with custard. It took ages to come out of the kitchen also. When I tucked in, it was boiling hot and it was clear that it had been microwaved as the pastry had that microwaved texture to it, no crisp bottom to be seen! Oh well! The couple next to us had Yorkshire pudding wraps and they complained too. The girls who served were brilliant though, but they need to sort the kitchen and food out. This was a Tuesday lunchtime.

Visited for the first time this evening to celebrate my parents birthdays & we will certainly be back. The food was delicious with massive portions & the staff were so lovely and accommodating! An absolute little gem of a place :) (Also noticed lots of gluten free items on the menu, I have a friend with a serious gluten allergy so it was lovely to see a wide variety of food they could eat, will deffo bring them in the future!!)

Lunch today was brilliant. Waitresses really friendly and helpful. Food was great in large portions and cooked well. Couldn't fault it.

3 of us had Sunday lunch. It was tasty & good value for money. The staff were lovely. It is a hidden gem.

This is a little known Gem. One of the best pub/restaurants in the area. We travel from Huddersfield for the comprehensive menu of starters, mains, and deserts, oh and the beers are good too. The food is excellent with accompanying side dishes e.g. perfectly cooked vegetables, proper chips, or salads.The staff are great and very welcoming. Having discovered it we now go whenever we can and can highly recommend it. Five star well deserved

Lovely Sunday lunch with all the family. Some of us had the roasts and some of us had the royal pie. We were all equally happy with our meals. Great portion sizes and plenty of veggies and gravy on the side. Usual excellent service too. We will be back. Never had a bad meal here, our favourite local pub.

Food very nice, tasty and good size portions, unfortunately we had to wait 1 hour 15 mins for it to arrive by which time we had lost interest, poor service allround, young waitress looked uninterested, after 10 mins took our drinks order but left no menus to look at whilst we waited for the drinks to arrive, when we did get the menus it then took an age for her to come back and take our order, disappointing considering the very good reviews.

Monday but quite a few in. Still good choice of menu some regulars but then alwsys something a bit differant. Can order realy what you want 2 starters was my choice. Both good portions & very tasty. Not often but hsd desserts cheese cake top marks my choice lemon possit.full of flavour but i did expect to be softer more like a mouse but this was deffinatley thicker & set!! I still ejoyed it due to the great flavour.

Good village pub in Low Moor. Has food available if required. Service friendly and reasonable prices. Outside seating if weather good. Sunday lunch looks dam good!

The only thing I didn't like was the bench seating. We all ended up with backache. Food excellent.

First time visiting this pub/restaurant. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. I had the pie, it did not disappoint, full of tender meat.

Sunday roast was awful. The roast potatoes were inedible, rock hard and really chewy inside. My Yorkshire pudding crumbled when I tried to cut it, was totally empty inside it was so overcooked. They even charged a whole £3 extra for 2 tiny little pigs in blankets and a small amount of stuffing!!! They offered me a free dessert for my trouble and when that came out was also awful. Cherry bakewell tart, warmed up so much that the inside had a really weird disgusting texture. Would never buy food from here again

Met up with my 2 close friends on a Thursday evening, sun was out and we had a drink outside on the terracing which was a great start to the evening. We had a table booked for an evening meal, and were soon seated in nice surroundings , modern makeover and comfortable. 2 ordered the fish and chips and 1 the Royal pie, their speciality. The food came soon enough, lovely portions, and piping hot. Service is brisk and polite by the attentive ladies on duty that evening. None of us left a morsel. One of the ales on offer is Timothy Taylors landlord, a popular brew. The Gastro pub was fully booked we were told, its a popular eating out venue as we found . There is a good selection on starters, mains, puddings as you would expect, . The food is well prepared and served. We could find no fault, other than we had to leave later on as time had flown . A venue we have decided to meet up on a regular basis. As we travel in from 3 different locations,

Arrived at 7 45pm. We were greeted by been told last order was 8 00pm and if we wanted to eat to sit down and order immediately

Paid extra 3 pound for pigs in blankets got 2 also the it's so small 19 pound never again

Went for my birthday lunch and when it arrived it all looked great but thats about it. My haddock sandwich was bland and it had thick soggy batter with absolutely shocking chips, 4 out of our group struggled eating the chips and all had soggy fish sandwiches. It has really gone down hill since our last visit. Staff were great and always have been but the food was a let down. Thank you.

First time at the Royal, excellent. Very much enjoyed.

Our daughter is vegan and just one option for vegans: pizza. Unfortunately, pizzas had sold out, so our daughter opted for a pasta bolognese, made with no meat, which was very good. Staff were friendly and obliging and handled the pizza alternative very well without making us feel awkward. All our other meals were great and very well cooked and served, we were very happy with the service.

A good Sunday Lunch, huge portions so lots of food for a decent price. The full menu is available as well as a choice of up to 3 meats in your roast dinner. TVs and music on creating atmosphere but not loud or distracting. Lovely staff doing a great job. Cash preferred but card payment available.

Food was lovely, had garlic mushrooms then fish and chips. Unfortunately i was too full to have a dessert! There was 5 of us and everyone enjoyed the food and the evening. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Came here on Sunday for lunch with my friend. Absolutley delicious. The staff are very nice and welcoming. I had the creamy garlic mushrooms...best ever! Then the roast beef and then rhubarb and apple crumble. We sat outside afterwards enjoying a drink in the sunshine. Lovley place to go with friends and family or for a cosy meal for 2.

Although the end of terrace stone building opposite an industrial site with mismatched decor and furniture appeared unpromising we went because of good reviews. The homemade food was really good, using high quality ingredients and generous portions. The beers and cider are well kept. A fair amount of parking space outside. Would highly recommend.

The food would of been delicious apart from the driver going round the whole of bd12 before delivering my food first n when it finally gt delivered i was left with 3 onion rings in my box n a few chips left in box n my food luke warm the driver gt free takeaway absolutely appalling restaurant 5 stars driver minus 5. Just eat sort ur drivers out.

Where to even start? Terrible service waitress’ were so rude and cocky one making it very clear she was hungover food took over an hour in dribs and drabs and when it came out orders were wrong for the staff to tell us we was wrong (she read the order back to us when we ordered) food was cold gammon really dry none of the food is worth the prices given the lettuce core in my burger literally the actual core no lettuce left on it staff not thinking there was anything wrong with that! If I could give 0 stars I would awful experience and DO NOT recommend!!

Visited today 24th February with my son and his girlfriend. We had the 10oz steak we don't like ut rare so the waiter was explaining which was the best way to have it cooked. When he brought them they were cooked to perfection and no fat (which I loved!) It was just pure steak you didn't have any fat to cut off. My sons girlfriend had the lamb cutlets and again it was perfectly cooked but it's also the presentation too all the dishes were presented perfectly. It was getting busy but the service was really good and our drinks were quickly brought to us. Will definitely come again

Been twice and got the steak pie both times. Excellent quality, really well cooked. Doesn't look anything special from outside but well worth it. They treat the ale well too

Gem of a place, great food, and even better service. If not local don't be put off by industrial area, I promise you well worth the visit.

Went for Christmas with the family. The meatball starter was nice, however the main course was cold, the turkey gravy was lumpy and the chocolate cheesecake was more like a mousse. On a positive note they sold Landlord and the drinks prices are very reasonable.

We arrived early, but the table was ready. I had the chicken parmo with chips. It was delicious and gluten free, so perfect for me. I ate the lot and could have licked the plate. Please pass my compliments to the chef. The service was excellent thanks to the friendly and efficient staff. I came with a friend for a catch up. We didn't feel under pressure to leave. I will definitely eat here again.
