Rumpus Burger in Bradford

Good for casual night out but very slow service as they concentrate on getting out food for take-out orders while restaurant diners are kept waiting. Fine if you are not in a hurry but not the best atmosphere. Food is excellent in its genre.

We came here for my birthday and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! The food was amazing as always, we can’t speak highly enough of it - if you haven’t been, go! (But book, it’s a little spot and it’s delicious so it books up quick) Shout out to Ruby for being so lovely to us, and for my birthday card ☺️

I look forward to when I have a Rumpus Burger again. Really tasty. Similar price to Five Guys but that becomes a pale imitation. I went with the Longhorn with Salt & Pepper fries. Perfect.

Delicious food, a nice treat for a birthday or works night out.

We took our 15-year-old son for his birthday dinner and we all loved it. The restaurant is smaller than expected so ensure you book. The staff were lovely and took my beer fuelled Dad jokes with a laugh and the spirit. The burgers were great, go and enjoy.

Always seems hard to get a table here but that’s just a testament to how good it is! The food is unbelievably tasty and well cooked. I love the Seoulmate burger and teriyaki fries! The staff are lovely too and it’s such a cosy atmosphere. 5/5

Very good. Lots of interesting burgers. Though they might not be the trendy kind (smash patties, brioche buns), they had tonnes of flavour. Really appreciate that beef is cooked pink and chicken is made with thighs.

If visiting saltaire and you like burgers this is the place to be ,book in advance as not very big and is usually very busy,food is superb and great staff.

Great, tasty food with efficient and friendly staff. The food was of a high quality and fairly priced. There’s limited capacity inside as it is a small diner, so I would recommend booking in advance. When I visited, there were no seats available inside so I opted to sit outside which was pleasant.

Booked a table for my husbands 50th birthday it was by far the best burger i have had it was lovley. Place is small so ensure you book. We were only a little annoyed as you only have your table for 1hr 15 mins i think it was on the email they would need the table back for 8.15. But the food was delicious. Pricey but well worth the spend.

I love this place. They do great burgers! But just ordered a burger to go and they left out the cheese!! What is the point of even eating a burger without cheese? It ruined it.

First time eating here and my burger was very rare, the liquid coming off was still bloody. I wasn't happy as I'm not a regular meat eater so don't like rare meat. They definitely need to cook them more - looks like it was on the grill for 1 minute!

Lovely little place, juicy and tasty burgers and amazing crunchy but soft fries. Shame I don't live closer so I can come again more often! Def worth a visit. Lovely decor too.

I wasn't impressed with my burger being served rare... I had eaten most of it before realising. Staff should make you fully aware that that's how they're served, then give you the option to have yours fully cooked

Burgers are nice, but they're no different to most other burger restaurants. Great local eatery but not worth travelling any distance for.

First visit last night.It came highly recommended. The veggie falafel and halloumi burger was AMAZING ….and the fries were just fabulous. Will definitely be returning. The staff were all 10/10 - so pleasant and attentive.

The restaurant is quite small so a booking is recommended. You only get 75 minutes per booking! Staff are very friendly and the service is fast! There is one vegetarian option available (the allotment) but it is tasty! 😋 Portions are generous so you definitely won't be leaving hungry! The only downside is we found the chips to be very salty / over seasoned! Overall the meal was delicious and fresh!

Amazing! First time eating here and it was outstanding. Had a naked tikka taaj (I think it was called that!) with fries and haloumi fries. Oh my days was it good. Service friendly and quick. Wine very drinkable. Worth every penny.

We went for my sons birthday. Food and service was good, when paying the bill, they had added an alcoholic beverage on,that we hadn't had. They did remove it when we showed them

Fantastic burgers. Love the fact the menu is really simple. And honestly the Longhorn burger I had (with funky fries) was absolutely brilliant. Fantastic service too and a lovely restaurant in general.

Upgraded my 12oz burger to 18oz, the burgers are exceptional and the dirty dog fries were very nice. Highly recommend establishment.

Unexpected place - yes it's that good. Starts with brilliant service followed by wow food. Every neighbourhood should have a place like this to go to. Don't miss it if you get a chance to go there.

We went as a party of 6(inc 2 kids) So tasty,quick service,decently priced,lovely staff. All our plates emptied 😉 Just watch where you're parking. Some places limited to an hour and pay and display a bit overpriced.

Have had mates telling me "you must eat here" for ages , so bit the bullet and took the wife for her birthday lunch. We are both so glad I did. Its only a small place and hardly imposing from the street but non the less there's restaurants not that far from here could learn a lesson or two from the staff who run this place. Spotlessly clean, staff who are genuinely bothered about your experience in the restaurant and don't just ask the generic questions and forget the answer before they've turned around, and the food......top class not dried out patties, fries that are hot and seasoned to perfection and home made slaw that tastes amazing plus salad that comes dressed enough to lift it off the plate but not enough that it makes it soggy. Brilliant lunch. Won't be the last time we call.

We’ve had lots of recommendations from family members about Rumpus, we went for lunch on a Saturday. The do beautiful burger which come with a side of fries than can be upgraded. They don’t do starters or puddings, but you honestly don’t need anything else, cooked fresh to order and a massive portion. Service was excellent and nothing was to much trouble. Food was delicious, I can’t say more than that.

We love love love it here! This time it was for our daughters 9th birthday - staff so accommodating and all 8 of us loved our burger and fries choices.

Wow, this might be the worst experience at a restaurant I’ve ever had. I had been desperate to come here since seeing this place on rate my takeaway and today we finally got the chance When our order was being taken the server asked what side of fries we would like. I was surprised as I didn’t realise it came with fries, and asked ‘ is it any of the fries on the menu?’ and he said ‘yes’ - so going on the waiter’s words we ordered the loaded fries and halloumi fries. Anyway we got our food. I had only just started my on my sides and the waiter asked if everything was okay so I hadn’t had the chance to properly try the burger. When I got around to it the burger was just simply not good. I ordered the Brie and bacon burger (my absolute favourite) and it was the blandest thing I’ve ever had. The burger had 0 flavour … I didn’t realise that was possible! I was so sad given 1) it’s my go to burger and 2) it was £16 I waited for when the waiter came back to try and tell him expecting him to ask how was everything, and he didn’t Anyway we got the bill and paid and just when we were leaving my friend said she couldn’t believe we had been charged for the chips. I didn’t realise and was confused, so I calculated the cost and realise we had Obviously mistakes happen so I went back in to get it rectified and the lady at the counter was abit rude and very abrupt. She wasn’t having any of it. She was like ‘ it’s clearly outlined on the menu’, but it was your staff remember that said it was any fries!!! Keep in mind I have dyslexia and reading isn’t my strong point - so when a staff member tells you it’s ANY fries you believe them!! Also when this interaction happened with the waiter he should have questioned our choice when he said the fries come with it and we were so surprised, asked any any then ordered what we did. Clearly his knowledge isn’t good and it cost us nearly a tenner at our expense because of your staff member’s incompetence and ignorance There’s far better places to visit in Saltaire so I would recommend avoiding when visiting the area

It's a very cool little venue on the main Saltaire road so you can park pretty close. It is small. Keep this in mind when booking-space is tight. Putting a chair at the end of a table for 4 people does NOT make it a table for 5! The seating was extremely uncomfortable. We had burgers, and the burgers are huuuuge. You can have multiple options on each burger and they are beautifully presented. Service is fast and effective. They are expensive burgers. When ordering I was conscious that the cost that was much higher than I had expected, however when they arrived they are totally worth the cost. We will totally be coming back. One of the best burgers I've had. Recommend a visit.

We really enjoyed our fodder at Rumpus today. Both my son and I over indulged on Fear the Beast burgers, and we both pimped up our fries..... and why not too. I've been wanting to try Rumpus for ages, and I am happy to have tried it today. Totally worth the high quality meat sweats this afternoon.

The Best Burgers in West Yorkshire. Have had all on the menu apart from the Veggie one and All are fantastic. The fries are also great every time. They have a specials board too so usually try those too and all been great. Great value for money and the Burgers are cooked to perfection every time. Succulent and never greasy. Usually take out but also eaten in a few times, great service and atmosphere.

looked good but did not taste good. The burger meat was way over cooked, didnt have any flavour appart from the dry meat. We also felt rushed, waiters kept coming to clear our plates off, and brought us the bill when we didnt ask for it. definitely would not go back.

Fantastic! This spot has something new to offer during every visit. If you want helpful service from knowledgable staff, a great variety of menu items that cater to all kinds of dietary requirements, and above all else an expertly crafted burger then Rumpus is the place to be. As a local in the area it’s hard to resist these tasty meals every time I pass. Thanks to Rick and the team for taking care of us when we’ve dined in, taken away or ordered next door.

Booked table 1.30, half the party arrived early (12.45) the restaurant was empty so we went in and asked to wait. All good, polite and we had some drinks. Other half of the group arrive 1.15pm (still early but restaurant not full, we’ve got a table so all good). We order. Burgers are amazing! Can’t fault that. 1.55 we are told we have to leave in 5 minutes as the table is needed. We hadn’t finished our drinks and were quite surprised, 25mins for a group of 4 with a reservation..bill over £100 …seemed mean. We show the waitress our 1.30pm reservation confirmation and she shrugs, “says 12.45 on the computer” ….we left. Wow! I have no words. There are some lovely friendly places in Saltaire, this one missed the mark. Burgers were great though..

Fantastic both dine in and takeaway. Dine in was quiet, good service, good atmosphere; it is quite small so might feel cramped if on a particularly busy day, but for us it was smaller groups at each table, a brilliant menu with a different special each time we've been. Big thumbs up for this place - going again tonight!
