Restaurant staff are great very friendly and can't do enough for you they are brilliant and compliments to the chef , great food 👌. However get rid of the two young male bar staff , very rude, very ignorant, no manners..send them on a customer service course teach them their P&Q s ...been coming here for quite a few years now and always been pleased but invited friends tonight from down south and they said the same , such a shame really. And while I'm at it get rid of the bar stools from the bar , getting into the bar to get a drink is ridiculous..appart from the food and the relaxing part of the venue the bar staff let it down ..just my opinion 👍

Roast lamb shank was absolutely delicious, managed to squeeze me in despite it being Easter Sunday and very busy. Staff were friendly and attentive. Chapel House you never fail to produce lovely food

Had great service when ordering, the staff were polite and friendly, also patient when when were deciding what to have bless them. The food was amazing and our drinks arrived not long after we ordered so we were able to have a few sips while waiting for our meals to be cooked. All round amazing experience, exactly why we keep coming back.

Pam the person who was serving us was very rude walking off when we wanted to order, she got the order wrong and came back and argued with us saying we never ordered it when we did. Her attitude towards us was not very professional however the food was nice and when we told the other staff member about her she was very nice and apologised to us.

We visited with our family on Mothering Sunday and had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, the service was attentive but not intrusive and they had created a lovely atmosphere. We have been going there for meals now for about a year and it is consistently good. It is now our go to place for an excellent pub meal. Thank you to all the Chapel House team especially Leanne, Pam and Eva.

Sorry that the roast turkey was salty. The fish and chips was good.

We visited the Chapel house for Mothers day yesterday. The food was lovely. Service was quick and amazing value for 4 adults, 1 child for food and drinks. If we are ever going for a meal chapel house is one of the top choices for us. I think this is our 5th mothers day there too. Highly recommend.

I was luckily enough to be treated to Afternoon Tea for Mothers Day. This was gorgeous. There was plenty of tasty treats to choose from and the service was fabulous too! I would highly recommend the Afternoon Tea option when available. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon!

Fab Mother’s Day meal! 2 of the party had the afternoon tea which was amazing and required ‘take out’ due to how generous they were. Rest of us ordered off normal menu and was lovely as well.

My parents and I came for lunch on Mother’s Day. From arrival to leaving, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I had a very tasty beef Sunday lunch (with plenty of extra gravy served in a gravy boat on the side), and a superb cheesecake for dessert. Dad was able to swap the peas on his gammon for beans and asking for no pineapple meant he was offered an extra egg resulting in a very happy Dad. He finished off with sticky toffee pudding which was served piping hot with lots of lovely custard. Mums lamb shank fell off the bone and was served again with extra gravy, plenty of veggies and a Yorkshire pudding. Such a wonderful experience, we were efficiently served by the ever friendly Leanne, Eva, Pam & Jo who work so hard making sure customers are happy and tables are ready for the next guests once vacated. Highly recommended, and now a firm family favourite. Thanks so much for a wonderful afternoon!

Always lovely. We come here a lot for food and it's always good. Steak Thursdays are great, and my lunch today was off of the specials menu, chicken and chorizo stew. Deffo recommend.

Enjoyed varied menu, food and service good.

I used to love the food here but it's dropped a star simply because some options I loved like the mussels and the vegetarian lasagne have gone which were two of my favourites. I would say on their new menu there is less for anyone who is vegetarian or vegan than before. Staff are very warm and helpful. Atmosphere is delightful.

Food is lovely not expensive especially with offer. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is good. Had a lovely evening catching up with friends.

We chose the Chapel house for a wake after been here for a few meals in the past. And what can I say? It was lovely, plenty of buffet to go around. Everyone commented how lovely it was. Visited on Saturday for breakfast/brunch after visiting the night before for "Fizz Friday". Food was excellent both days, brilliant atmosphere on the Friday night and staff were very friendly. We will be back! Although we may not indulge in as much "fizz" on a Friday!

It's a shame the food is so bad here as it seems to be a nice pub. It's not a reflection on the staff but we had to wait 40 minutes from ordering for our food to arrive.I ordered steak and ale pie with mash, the worst I've ever had with possibly 6 pieces of a pathetic excuse for steak, the mash was instant that had the consistency and taste off being made the day before. I ordered a pint of coke to go with it that came in a large glass but was just over half full. I would normally complain but we was out for a birthday and didn't want to cause a scene. I've been here many time's over the years but neither me or the other members of our group will not be returning.

Service - On arriving the barmaid had a face like a "dropped pie", not even a smile and then the waitress barked at us when we tried to order - oh dear not a good start Food - The food was tasty BUT the kicker here is that when you order a adult duo of Sunday lunch you expect it to be larger than the kids meal equivalent? Lovely pub, great service and really pleasant. First time visit and will be back again. Portion sizes just about right, think a little more mash potato served with mains could be increased, especially for the price paid. FYI-Children need to be out by 5pm from the main bar area or be in the dining area from what I understood.

Limited to a 2 hour table slot that they don't tell you when booking response from owner is understandable but make customers aware when booking . Flying squirell don't have it bobin carrier don't have it crown green king don't have it . So if you do please tell people 🙂

We go to the Chapel on a regular basis, never disappointed. Excellent service from Pam and Emma, delicious steak and ale pie with gravy, great portions, reasonable cost. Warm friendly atmosphere. Also used blue light card. Look forward to the next time.
