Booked for lunch. Only a couple more tables with diners so no atmosphere and upstairs closed. Two things we wanted were not available - on a Saturday! Very overpriced at £9 for a salad which was mainly lettuce or a sandwich with dry white bread. A bit grubby and tired.

Visited Saturday morning for the first time, nice coffee but very expensive toasted currant teacake, actually not a teacake but a small bap for £3.20. Actual teacakes classification should be between 6 and 10 inches in diameter and not three!! One mouthful and gone!! Disappointed.

Two of us had enormous club sandwiches and tea. Lovely bacon and chicken in the sandwiches, fresh salad with a nice dressing. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Went to Pickles Deli for Mother's day afternoon tea. Absolutely lovely. Good selection of sandwiches and little cakes plus beautiful scone. They also did a special children's one for my 6 year old which he loved. The staff where friendly and helpful. Anything we didn't eat was boxed up for us to take home. There is disabled access at the back and also a good size disabled toilet.

Server today was very rude, walked in and she immediately said ‘we’re full sorry’ even though there were 2 tables free it was just a matter of shuffling a chair, so rude. Went to cafe 9 and they immediately accommodated and found space for us. Won’t be returning to pickles

Accidentally went in thinking we were going to the pub next door. Turns out it's a fantastic propper cocktail bar. Barman James was a little legend. Deffo go again 👌

We stopped after a hike for brunch and were pleased to find that it was open on New Year's Day. We ordered two coffees, bottled water, chorizo panini and eggs florentine (I requested that ham be added and was told this would be extra). The bill was £28. The coffee was nice, the food was abysmal. The ham was that cheap thin square kind you wouldn't feed your cat and the hollandaise sauce was oily, very vinegary and absolutely covering everything. I left half and only ate what I did because I was starving. All in all, for the price - very poor.

Love this place. Meet every week with a large group of friends. Always a table reserved for us. Staff even know our drink orders too!!! Have also had a delicious Sunday lunch and have attended their monthly jazz sessions.

When reading this remember Pickles have no USP and there are other eateries in a small location…never have stamp cards…and the owner of the business have told staff NOT to at least note a visit in order to be customer centric and provide the one stamp per visit…not even be drink and such, like other cafes in the immediate area…staff stand chatting loudly when customers are waiting to be served…far, far too long…servings are not of a similar size…a tip here, if you are wishing to sell the bus be encourage your staff to be more customer centric or you will not be encouraging any buyer…

A quirky coffee events house at the top of Baildon. Relaxed atmosphere with jazz background music. Coffee was nice and hot. It does a selection of food which you order off the menu. Worth a visit if your in the area.😃👍

Not been for a while and have always enjoyed going to Pickles. My chair was partially broken, but I noticed before a accident and pointed out the problem. Tomatoes in my salad were soggy and growing loads of white mould strands. Both poached eggs were hard boiled. Although I told the waiter, after a brief apology, I was left to eat my hard eggs with the offending tomatoes still on the wooden board. Afterward I was offered a coffee on the house, which I declined. Shan’t be coming back in a rush.

Pleasant enough atmosphere and nice coffee. We weren’t sure that the food was as fresh as it should be. There was evidence that the salad, in particular, had been ‘lingering’.

Went for their Father's day special. We were a party of 5 including a 5 year old. We had the roast beef roast dinner and my son the chicken roast dinner. Beautifully presented wnd the meat lovely and tender. All was served together and all served hot. Ample serving and staff happy to box up any thing left over. Mind you my plate was almost licked clean. There was a big jug of gravy supplied. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend either for lunch or just a coffee. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Disabled access to ground floor plus disabled toilet.

Service was friendly and menu looked good but the execution was poor. We ordered flat whites which were just huge, hot, foamy, weak coffees. I wonder what I'd have got if I ordered a cappuccino, or a latte? Exactly the same I'm guessing. The lady at the till was telling the chef how'to make our food as we ordered it which didn't inspire confidence. Vegan muffin was poor. Bread: dry, veggie sausages under cooked and the rest, bland. We gave it to our dogs. Redeeming point was the croque Monsieur which was ok.

A difference from all the other pubs in Baildon, this is more like a continental cafe. Nice decor and jazz playing quietly in the background. Good range of wines and beers but the speciality is cocktails. The tapas is ridiculously good value, I hope they develop this side of the offering. Perfect for couples who who don't want the hurley burley of a pub.

We arrived to pickles and were greeted by the lovely young lady and bar staff. The decor is charming and glam, the team showed us to our table and took our drinks order. THE COCKTAILS WERE BEAUTIFUL! We tried a selection throughout the night and each one was fantastic, the pizza was delicious and served on a board that helped keep it warm whilst we leisurely drank and talked. The atmosphere was nice and we truly had a wonderful date night. Thank you to the staff and team.

Don’t even know what to say, I feel so lucky this place is on my doorstep. Amazing, friendly and welcoming staff, amazing and attentive service, a-m-a-z-ing quality drinks! … OH, and the best pizzas I’ve had locally by far, by young James who is extremely passionate about his food for such a young age, he is so professional, they and he should be proud! Pizzas and Pornstars (the cocktail!) in my local village has become my favourite thing to do! Thanks Pickles for making me feel so welcome from messaging to book to arriving in person - and thanks for an amazing time, everytime.

Used to go to Pickles before it changed hand and always excellent food and service , went a few months back and the food was awful so much so they didn’t charge us , we decided to give it another try and it was no better , the first table we sat at was so sticky we moved , we placed our order , the tea came along with cutlery but were asked would we like to order food , which we had already , we ordered soup , quite a good few staff serving but had to remind them as to what had happened to the soup !! It was brought out straight away after the reminder , it was advertised as carrot and coriander , really well it was tasteless the base was more tomato than carrot , just a concoction of herbs , surely when you leave half a bowl of soup and asked was everything ok and you say no not really and the answer is “ sorry “ as they don’t know what else to say , not looking for a free meal just good food , So will not go back

My first visit for a capuchino and breakfast sandwich.. some may say it's a tad pricey, but you get what you pay for and on that basis it was a bargain. After 60 odd years of eating thousands of bacon or sausage butties, this was the tops. Ingredients were fabulous in all respects and the preparation and service second to none. If there was one area where improvements could be made it was in respect of the washroom facilities which although clean and serviceable, would benefit from an upgrade and refresh beyond a single disabled facility. Appreciating of course that logistically this is not always possible, and is sadly the norm in the UK, great toilets are the ultimate measure of a civilised society. Don't let the grumblings of an old sad man put you off though, just go and support your local deli!!

The cocktail bar on an evening always seems to be quiet on with only one or two tables full. Maybe offering a two for one cocktail menu may attract more people as this is would be much more affordable.

Such a lovely local bar, great music, great cocktails and very attentive staff. Covid-19 precautions are excellent, we felt very comfortable and safe. JEF's cocktail masterclass was a marvel, the guy went out his way to ensure we enjoyed ourselves, a very rare trait in today's day especially in light of the current circumstances. Will 100% be returning and already looking forward to it!

Pickles is one of my favourite places for ‘ladies who lunch’ - I visited with a friend last week and was very disappointed by the attitude of the staff - I’m so sorry that Louise has decided to cease trading on 21st December- I really feel for ladies who work there - but it’s not the customer’s fault and we’re sad too..........

This restaurant has been highly rated for over 50 years. and is almost on my doorstep, yet I'd never visited. This was due to finances back in the day, but recently, I've just seemed to never consider it. Which is crazy as it's the closest Michelin star rated restaurant to my home. Anyway, I finally decided to try it as a Xmas present for my wife last year. We went for Sunday lunch and it was first class. They elevated a standard weekly event of Sunday roast into a brilliant meal that had elements of a roast but felt like so much more. We will be back. I understand it's had some renovations since my visit

We live in baildon, and have used cafe Nine quite a lot. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Quick to get your order taken, even if they are very busy. They have a bit of seating outside too which is nice when we do have some sun! Food is always nice and fresh. Usually have a large breakfast and coffee. Never disappointed. Absolutely no problem recommending them if you fancy a bite or a coffee, they will sort you out!

Can’t complain about staff they were brilliant, but the food was not worth the money, we had Yorkshire rarebit £17.95 It tasted like the bread had just been flattened and pressed into a small flat bowl topped with loads of cheese and stuck under a grill which the bread felt very hard to cut and quite solid it was topped with 3 half cherry tomatoes and a salad leaf (one) Not impressed We had come for the experience decided not to have the cakes as didn’t want to spend anymore money It’s not hard to make cheese on toast should of been better
