Lovely spot in Howarth and lots of tables. Had breakfast and menu had a good choice but items were unavailable (only told this when went to order). The food was good, average coffee and small cups (for a large one). Our issue was the service, curt, unfriendly staff who seemed to be irritated. We felt like we were an inconvenience to their business. Will not return. If you’re expecting a friendly Yorkshire welcome you won’t get one at cobbles and clay.

Wonderful food at very reasonable prices, with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all very attentive and helpful, but a particular mention has to be given to Peggy who made our experience all the more enjoyable!

Prebooked a meal for 4 and glad we did as the place was really busy. Excellent atmosphere and a nice mix of clientelle either eating, or drinking, or both. The service is top class and all the staff are so friendly. The food is out of this world and fantastic portions - the 4 of us are good eaters but struggled to clear our plates so good was the amount of food. We had 4 different meals but it would be unfair to highlight any one dish as every one was just magnificent. Other customers around us were also commenting on the quality of the food. Not to be missed if you're in Haworth just for a drink or to eat. Well done everybody at the Steam Brewery.

Fabulous 3 course meal for £35, the slow cooked beef was delicious and so was the turkey. Excellent service and great ambience. Such a quirky dining experience right in the heart of Haworth main street. Highly recommended

Called in at the Waggon & Horses by chance after needing to go out for a ride and needing something to help us as a family , to uplift our spirits after losing my husband .very very recently. . The food was excellent , the best chips ever, pie was delicious, atmosphere warm, relaxing , also the friendly owner was so welcoming.couldn’t finish all my food regrettably , as it was a good sized portion , so we’ll be definitely be back for more ,thank you from the three of us .

A nice local pub about 2.5 miles outside Keighley. It has a large car park and sheltered seating area opposite. The staff were very friendly and efficient without being pushy. The food was the surprise - expecting a decent pub standard meal, we were greeted with something much better. We all had the scallop starter and lamb rump main off the Special Menu which were well presented, extremely tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back when next in the area. Highly recommended.

We called in at this cosy pub and sat in the dog friendly area with our dog. We received a friendly welcome and ordered the steak pie with chips and the sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry. We both agreed that the food was delicious and my hubby said that it was one of the best steak pies he had eaten. We had a good bottle of merlot red wine too. We really like this pub with its cosy ambience, friendly service and great food and drink. We’ll definitely return here again and recommend you give it a try.

We have seen this pie shop for a while but always had lunch elsewhere, so even though we had had a brew we thought we would get a takeout before the weather turned. I had the steak and ale pie and we both got a sausage roll (which was just a bog standard sausage wrapped in not very nice pastry ) the pie was dry inside and the pastry below the topping wasn't even close to being cooked I'll admit the steak tasted nice but for £6.95 something had to be ok . The outcome was very disappointing & very doubtful I'll go back I should add the total was £15.75 which makes the sausage rolls £4.40 each even for Haworth that is ridiculous I'm sorry it's a bad review but I believe honesty is the best policy

Very disappointed. Walked all the way up the hill from the wonderful Fleece pub this evening Sat. 4th Jamuary 2025 at 7:30pm looking forward to a meal. The bar staff told us there was no food available as the Chefs had been sent home as it was too quiet. What a way to run a business. We went straight back down to The Fleece where we had a wonderful meal, with great staff, excellent Timothy Taylor Beers in a wonderful atmosphere. Forget the White Lion, they don't deserve the business👎

Didn’t serve a group of 8 of 19-20 year olds because we all had drivers licenses and didn’t believe we could all drive. Wouldn’t recommend for young people which is a shame as Haworth is a good place for drinks on a weekend.
