4 of us went on Friday for the 10 course Tasting Menu and have to say it was one of the best food experiences of my life. Nigel produced some stunning courses, complemented with excellent wines. Jordan looked after us very well and her explanation of each course and the wine to accompany it was perfect. If I could give the restaurant 100 stars I would. Highly recommended.

My son booked 1707 restaurant as a 70th birthday treat & wow what can i say brilliant ,food/drink/service outstanding & waitress holly was so good/nice,1st time visit but not the last.70year old peter whittaker .

Excellent local pub with fantastic range of cask ale and some newer keg beers. Well worth checking out as the beers change regularly.

I had a potato with chilli here a few weeks ago and it was the smallest baked potato I had eaten in a long time.

Exceptional Food and Service at The Cape of Good Hope I recently dined at The Cape of Good Hope in Warwick and was thoroughly impressed. Situated by the canal, the pub’s setting creates a relaxing and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal. I opted for the Greek Mixed Grill, and it was outstanding. The dish featured a generous selection of meats, all cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with authentic flavours. The sides were equally delicious and rounded out the meal beautifully. It was clear that great care had gone into preparing the dish. The service was impeccable. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and friendly, ensuring everything was perfect without being intrusive. It’s rare to find a place that balances quality food with top-notch service so seamlessly. The Cape of Good Hope is an absolute gem in Warwick. I visited the Rose & Crown for Sunday lunch with 5 friends and we all couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. The pub has a great vibe with a friendly inclusive atmosphere that flows from the young, welcoming and accommodating staff who gave us excellent, prompt service through a long afternoon - despite how busy the pub was. The main courses were all tasty, well cooked and with generous portions - plus a good range of both starters and sides - all plates were cleared! But the whole very pleasant afternoon was made by the team who looked after us - especially Courtney, Chelsea Freya and Emily. Thank you all.

Stayed here on New Years Eve. The welcome we received was amazing. The evening wasn’t what we had originally planned but was far better, with dancing, singing & drinking Colombian style. Thank you for a very enjoyable night to celebrate the beginning of 2025

When we arrived the lovely lady behind the bar acknowledged us even though she was serving another customer. My husband was complaining to me that he had been out working in the wind and rain all day and felt chilly. The lady overheard and told us to go and sit at table number 2 as this was near a heater. We ordered our drinks and sat at our table. After we ordered our food the lady came over to bring cutlery and asked if we had warmed up. She asked us if we would like to have the fire put on and we said yes. Within minutes, the area we were sat in warmed up and it was lovely. our food arrived and it was delicious. The service, food and atmosphere is always brilliant when we come. Thank you for the awesome food, the fire and your perfect customer service! its very appreciated. :)

I consider it the best pub in town and is the only one I drink regularly.The staff are always present and I always take friends there.Excellent.

Even though the app booking had not been received. They were able to accommodate the five of us. They helped us choose our main course with suggestions. One of our party wanted an individual meal that wasn’t on the menu and they were able to accommodate this with these finished with some lovely lemon cello and enjoy the meal immensely.

Food is really good and a good price, nice old building in line with what I expected from Warwick itself as an area. The staff were so good as I have fussy children and they bent over backwards to accomodate them
