Food is really good and a good price, nice old building in line with what I expected from Warwick itself as an area. The staff were so good as I have fussy children and they bent over backwards to accomodate them

We were stauing at Knight's Village for the weekend and saw this place on our way in. We popped over at 7 on the hope of a table. Despite it being very busy the manager was able to accommodate my husband, son and I. We had tapas to start - very tasty followed by paella for two. Lovely and good value. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Would definitely go back.

We stayed at The Tudor House hotel in April, Hotel was nice enough but only emergency lighting on in the main part of the hotel. There are staff on in the morning to sort breakfast but the rest of the day the hotel is empty so do not expect to sit in the bar with a drink!!. The bar opens in the evening and there is a Spanish restaurant there (very nice).

We stopped in the bar for a drink with our 12 week old baby following a meal out elsewhere as a family and were made to feel very comfortable and welcome. We didn’t think we’d find anywhere for a nice quiet drink so were pleasantly surprised. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating or welcoming.

What a strange place. We popped in on a Thursday night and were the only people in there despite it being a restaurant with B and B rooms. The bar man was friendly and was wearing a suit jacket which was nice. The building is lovely but inside it felt very outdated, in need of sprucing up and the nick nacks looked well past their sell by date. Couldn’t quite put my finger on what it was but it didn’t have a cosy atmosphere and lack of other patrons was sad. The beer had run out on the ale pumps as well. At least the radio station playing was modern and upbeat.

This is a beautiful building steeped in history. Built in 1472, many original features are there to this day. Very quirky and fun. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast superb, chef is great fun to talk to. However, a few disappointments. We booked this place in particular because in addition to the historical interest, it boasts of real ales, lunch and bar snacks. So having booked our rooms we arrived for lunch ahead of the check in time of 3pm to find it locked up and in darkness, no reply to the doorbell. So actually they do not serve lunch. Or any Real Ales - the taps were covered. We had booked 5 rooms between 9 people, so potentially quite a lucrative group of guests. When the bar finally opened at 5pm we asked what time we needed to be back from our meal in town in order to have a couple of nightcaps before bed. We were told 11pm. Upon returning just before 10.45pm, found the hotel locked and in darkness. No reply to the doorbell. Having specifically arranged this, and not even asking for extended hours, this was pretty unacceptable as we would have stayed in town for longer. The bedding is very tired and in the £95 per night room, no shower just a hand held shower head with no bracket on the wall to attach it to. I would go back, although would have lower expectations. The website should be changed to reflect that off season, the hotel does not open for lunch and the evening bar is subject to discretion. Maybe the room prices should be reduced to reflect this. In the event, being in a large group, it didn't spoil our stay. However, if it had just been a couple, I suspect it would have marred the visit.

We ate here using a groupon voucher. The voucher was for Sunday lunch and either a starter or pudding. I was disappointed to find that there was no vegetarian option for me. I was told that I could only have the roast dinner without the meat and vegetarian gravy. My daughter chose the chicken and asked if she could have a Yorkshire pudding with it but was told no as they only came with the beef. We chose prawn cocktail starters which looked like baby food but tasted okay. To be fair the main course tasted good and was served hot. The staff were friendly.

Arrived at mid-day when the Tudor house restaurant opened and was greeted by a member of staff going around each table spraying furniture polish on them. There were not any windows open for ventilation, she just looked at me and said," is there something wrong"?Of course there was something wrong, the cleaning should of been done before the restaurant was opened and the other bottles of spray and duster moved off the bar. I suffer with asthma and was not happy, nor were other customers around us,we felt like just walking out as it made me cough continuously and I did not feel comfortable at all. When the sunday roast came it was nothing special just a small plate with a meal on, pudding the same could of done better in my own house. My husband and myself visited here for Sunday lunch with a Groupon Voucher . Upon arrival at the restaurant we found the door locked and as we d booked a table for 12.0 pm we thought it would be open , a young couple that was passing told us to knock the door !! We were finally then let into what we can only describe as walking in on the place being cleaned , and chairs still on tables , woman hoovering , cleaning and polishing tables also cleaning materials left on the bar . We showed our voucher and said about our booking , then shown a menu and said to take a seat where there were no chairs on the tables . There was no apparent heating on either so we felt they we very unprepared for business !! By this time a few other customers arrived and felt they felt the same as us ! On the good side staff were friendly but unprofessional , the Sunday Lunch was very good and didn t have to wait long for it . We would eat there again but would certainly book a later time to eat .

Visited here at last minute on weekend visit to Warwick as hotel restaurant was fully booked. Service was slow due to also accommodating a large party (which completely understand) but bar and service staff were largely absent throughout the evening, ordering drinks typically slow (although was bar staff's first night).Eventually a medium-rare steak arrived that was tired and lifeless. I felt sorry for the cow that had died for this cut. Accompanying food (onion rings, chips) were dry, over-fried and dull. I certainly wasn't expecting pub gastronomy and the food was reasonably priced but still left feeling overwhelmingly disappointed. The first time I've ever felt compelled to send food back to a kitchen with the replacement steak moderately better.

The outside of the building draws you in. We had a very warm welcome from the Manageress at the bar who was a delight until put under a bit of pressure following two polite requests regarding sour beer.First impression was that the bar area smelt of chip fat and was hazy with kitchen fumes.Food was plentiful but nothing to write home about. We ordered a couple of steaks which were not of the best quality, but edible. Limp side salad and chips were dry. The red wine sauce on my steak was of a ketchup consistency and didn't taste of red wine.We were served two lots of real ale at the bar which were at the end of the barrel and therefore were sour, so settled for a bottled beer instead. When we returned the 2nd pint, there was a little tension and the Manageress suggested that it was likely down to personal taste rather than old over oxygenised ale. She was also on her own, so would have to get the chef to check the cellar? As we left beer lines were being hurriedly pulled through! Short staffed, poor food, on a BH weekend. With hind sight, we would have gone to the pub next door.

This restaurant is a great example of what happens when restaurant owners give up trying. The food was very poor. We ordered a lamb shank which was incredibly fatty and came with what looked like canned vegetables. We also ordered a steak, which I asked for rare - and got well done. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she smiled and walked away. She didn't attend to us once and rushed off as soon as she put plates and drinks down so we had to grab other members of staff. Her laziness and incompetence is very telling of the lack of training she received - and therefore of the management's attitude to their business.Every ingredient seemed to be budgeted and substandard. Even the prawn cocktail tasted cheap. The presentation of the food was dreadful, twee and childish. I would highly suggest never visiting this restaurant.

We ( two families) came for a day out at Warwick Castle and wanted to eat after we left we three young kids. It was Sunday and some all had Lamb or Roast Bef with small potions for the kids. I have to say it was one of the tastiest roasts I have had a in a long time and very reasonably priced. We live near London and the problem these days is they are either small chain pubs or market themselves as gastro pubs and the food is sometimes small in portion size and frankly a bit pretentious. The meat was tender vegetables and potatoes cooked and a nice Yorkshire pudding with lovely gravy. For dessert the menu was traditional British ( spotted dick, treacle sponge, bread and butter pudding, crumbles etc) . These two were very tasty with generous amounts of custard.we were impressed and all in a very elegant building with fantastic interior. I must also commend the staff for being very friendly and helpful and the price or dish was very good.

I’ve been to the Tudor House last on a Saturday for dinner, about 6pm.The place was completely empty, we were told there was a beer festival in town, that’s why.The place is undoubtedly nice, and just having a walk inside is great. The menu is mainly meat/fish-based, but there are some vegetarian options, like omelette, pasta and a few more things that I honestly don’t recall. For starters I’ve order something off the menu as I couldn’t find anything to my like, just some bread with dressing: the waiter was absolutely fine with that. The bread I have to say was nice as well as the vinaigrette. For main I had a beef burger and asked the waiter to substitute my fries with some steamed potatoes, which he said was absolutely fine. The burger alas wasn’t good, the beef seemed very cheap and was very dry (OK I asked him to have it well done but usually chefs add something in the burger to balance off that dryness, like tomato or lettuce or something along those lines, I thought that goes without saying). The bun seemed old and there was very little cheese inside and the steamed potatoes were plain, no dressing or anything added to them (again, I think it is pretty obvious that I would expect some kind of dressing on them). So, not great food experience for me to be honest but I know my girlfriend liked her vegetarian food (omelette). In any case, credit to the staff for accepting all my requests to change the menu, not many places would do it and only for that my ranking goes up a little.I don’t think I’d go back, but I think it is worth exploring other dishes, just stay away from the beef burger

The fish had been cooked in a microwave and had so little flesh on it it clearly had never seen water as it would not been able to swim. As for the chips how can you fry chips and serve them raw? We did complain but clearly that is always the standard of food as the member of staff just said 'OK'. There was a young trainee waiter called Elliot who was rushing around with such enthusiasm- almost like he had a supercharger bolted on to him! We were asked several times how our food was and it seemed like he really cared. It was nice to see this in someone so young and he deserves to be commended for how good he was. Value for money wise it wasn't bad either although a couple of dishes seemed very expensive for what they were. Roast Beef Dinner - processed machine cut beef, with huge Yorkshire pudding, small amounts of veg all saturated in quite frankly the most saltiest gravy ever! We didn't have the option of gravy or no gravy??? It was poured literally all over the food prior to being served to out table, obviously this establishment don't own gravy boats, I did wonder why such a charming looking Inn was virtually empty!!Well I would never return again so maybe that's my question answered, the barman/waiter was walking around like a schoolboy with his shirt hanging out and his shoes looked like they hadn't been cleaned since 1472!! However he was very pleasant Music in dining area nothing short of a pop disco!

came here with my partner today.. obviously it goes as saying you get what you paid for! However I expected it to be edible.. it’s all Morrisons own, so safe to say I won’t be buying Morrisons own. I had the mix grill and my partner had the ultimate breakfast and 2 hot chocs. Only thing that was good was the hot chocs that came from a machine. Bacon was extremely fatty and also cold, majority of the food was cold and seems as if it had been sat out. Once ordered the food,it came out in 5 minutes. Egg was cold, gammon was awful. Mushy peas was cold and hard. Scrambled egg was grey ish and hard. Overall not good. Cleanliness wasn’t as bad. Won’t be returning

Only ever had a drink here, there was a large group of people that came in early on Sunday who asked for Sunday lunch, adults & kids around 15 - 20 of them. They were advised they couldn't accommodate them as the dining area was busy, but it wasn't, they all left very disappointed on remembrance Sunday. Heard this before though, not great with the customer service
