Tucked away but quite close to city centre this is a cosy little venue with live music and great home brewed beer! Did not eat but the food menu (snacks) looked tempting'

Great little treasure of a venue in a picturesque village. Intimate atmosphere- dogs and child friendly. Fantastic food and service Great value and it’s good to support small family businesses

First time visitor on business trip. Staff very friendly from reception to the staff serving breakfast. General decor looked very dated with fading and discoloured paintwork, however the day prior to my departure the was a painter getting to work in the building I was in. Only had the full English breakfast which wasn't self service, didn't have any evening meals there.

Absolutely rubbish, the staff are rude and can barely speak english, honestly I've never ever had such bad service in my life, we waited 30 minutes before someone took our order and the whole place was EMPTY! They have neo manners, gave us evil looks the whole time, Don't know anything about indian cuisine. It's not authentic indian food, probably one of the worst curries I've had in my life, can't believe I ended up spending £80 (without drinks) for such poor quality food for a couple?! I'd honestly recommend driving an extra 20 minutes, heading up to Leicester and grabbing a nice curry from Shere Punjab or Anmol or basically anything out of of the other takeaways there. You'll end up spending £15-£20 for the whole family and it will actually be NICE, compared to this joke that they call a curry. Honestly better off eating at a Wetherspoons. Drinks are also watered down, and they charged me for a double for a single twice on the receipt. Very sly, the staff like I said are horrid. Never coming here again, not even if I starving food

I was very disappointed yesterday as I went to the bar to complain about a drink. One of the managers.a young lady who l heard she lives upstairs, she very very rude and told me if I don’t like the beer I should leave cause she didn’t call me to this pub ,I’ve been coming there for years as l live in the village , never been spoken to like that, she bang the drink on the table and told me she could not do anything about it, all I wanted was a drink that was not flat poured by her. This was around seven in the evening., l was talking to another customer who told me she was rude to him too and wasn’t coming back , and told me live upstairs on the premises , I definitely will not be coming back me and my family , I was ashamed. This is how customer service is ,been coming for years and all the staff there are amazing alway happy to help

We went for breakfast and it was really rubbish. I ordered eggs Benedict. What I got was a bap (not a toasted muffin) cut in half with a piece of bacon on each side. On half I got an overcooked egg, on the other side all I got was boiled egg white with no yolk. To try and cover it all up, hollandaise sauce was slathered all over the place. We ordered kids toast with Nutella. Weirdly the toast came with margarine on and then a pot of Nutella as well. My husband ordered the full English. Super greasy and bits burnt. All in all, won’t be going back and was absolutely not worth the money. Would avoid like the plague!

Booked mid week for Sunday lunch at 1.00pm.hitel restaurant rang an hour before booking to say 'not doing Sunday lunch today, due to kitchen issues'!very disappointing. Also noticed menu has been reduced significantly since we last went, although price has increased. In desperation,we managed to book at very short notice for lunch at another hotel, which was superb. The Ansty Hall charges £10 per person for any cancellation.Perhaps they would like to pay us £10 compensation per person for cancelling.Really not worth dealing with them!

We have been here lots of times and have had great meals. Today wasnt one of those days. One of the meals ordered was steak and ale pie with veg and mashed potato. The pie was concrete solid, the pastry so thick and tough it was inedible. It contained a paltry sum of four miniscule bits of steak that were drowning in a sea of gravy within the pie. The veg was squishy on the outside and hard in the middle mis-shapen in a sad protest having been nuked, and the mashed potato was not fresh. If you like your food microwaved, this is the place for you! The two other meals we had were mediocre at best. We came away feeling disappointed due to the quality of the food, and having spent circa £50, we felt it wasnt VFM. Not good at all.
