On entering, we were met with silent stares from the three staff members standing at the counter. Nevertheless, we persevered and sat in the adjoining room chatting. After about ten minutes, it became obvious we were being ignored, as at least two of the aforementioned staff walked past the room. If customers are expected to order at the counter, then what on earth is wrong with a 'hello' and a steer for new clients who don't know the form? Instead of which we were left feeling unwelcome in the place and decided to leave. We'll never know the quality of the fare on offer, because the appalling front-of-house behaviour saw to that!

What a lovely quaint atmospheric little coffee shop this is. I called in after a long walk through the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. The staff were fantastic, cheerful & very helpful. I had a freshly ground coffee which was perfect & a wonderful well presented sandwich, that good i didn't want it to end. Overall a brilliant stop off for a light lunch, highly recommended & i will certainly be back.

What a gorgeous, authentic & relaxed village coffee shop /bistro. Beautiful Mother’s Day share board we had , the cakes were to die for & sandwiches would highly recommend the cheese , pear & fig choice . All washed down with a glass of bubbles & such lovely welcoming service from a family run business. We will be back very soon . Thank you .

My girlfriend and I often visit before or after a walk around Berkswell & Meriden. There is a great selection of freshly made sandwiches, snacks and cakes available. The coffee & hot chocolate are excellent. Store & Stove is firmly one of our favourite places. Ps. The pancakes are "the best" my girlfriend has ever had...

We finally got around to visiting this delightful cafe in nearby Berkswell. It is dog friendly which immediately gets a thumbs up from us and our two mini Schnauzers. We felt it was a good sign that when we sat down Tom Waits started to sing. It is worth visiting just for the excellent play list, Damien Rice, Neil Young and so on. Anyhow, we opted for a beef and horseradish sandwich and a ham, cheese and mustard toastie. Both made with fresh doorstop bread and served with a nice salad and crisps. Very tasty. We tried the carrot cake and blueberry lemon cake for dessert and had no problem finishing them off. All in all, a great find, friendly service and really good value. We will definitely come again.

Visited for lunch (first time) friendly greeting but not told we had to order from the bar.so sat and waited for ages until we realized.Sandwich had very thick bread and my quiche was so thin it didn’t look like a quiche. The chef came to talk to us and I mentioned lack of communication re service and his reply was well we have been here for a year thought everyone knew!! My reaction was to think didn’t he expect to have any new customers. Not my type of place although lots of people are happy.Perhaps it was because my friend and I are OAPs and I am disabled.

Oh my! I have explained to staff and owner this place serves the BEST roast beef sandwich in the world - and I have travelled. Lovely roast beef, super soft bread, horseradish as an option, side salad with a perfect balsamic drizzle. Apart from my Mum’s macaroni cheese this is the best ever. Additionally it is unbelievably well priced! Usually you’d pay twice as much. It’s in a lovely place with a perfect car park 50 yards away. Great staff, the owner is there for a chat. If Carlsberg opened a boutique cafe it would be this one!
