Lovely family-run business. Wonderful meal again - great food, staff are very knowledgeable about the wines, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

What can I say.....fabulous food, fabulous service and a fabulous atmosphere. Your waitresses are an absolute credit to you and put other restaurants to shame. Have drank here before but never eaten, so, huge compliments to the chef & kitchen staff too. Will definitely be back for food soon.

A real gem to the area of Olton. 3 courses for under £30 on a Sunday and the food is outstanding. Staff are all lovely and friendly. Outside bar tables are dog friendly but inside is not due to space.

If you want to eat Excellent food, in a relaxed atmosphere , platform 3 is the place to go, enjoyed our afternoon so much, friendly staff, I will be going back very soon.

I held the wake after my mother's funeral here and it was fantastic. I know it's a sad occasion but this is an ideal venue. Staff are professional and friendly. Quality food laid on. All guests were impressed. Highly recommended for hire. Yet to try the restaurant menu in the near future. Thank you all at Platform Three.

We held mum’s Celebration of Life at Platform 3. Monique and Collette were amazing with fantastic attention to detail. It was a very special afternoon. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend this beautiful venue. Thank you for being so welcoming, supportive and accommodating.

Only came for drinks. Can get too busy at times and has limited seating. Beer always nice and cold. Last orders can be early. Staff are very nice.

Had the two course Sunday lunch which was excellent. The Roast Beef was perfectly cooked and very tender . Best Sunday lunch in the solihull area in my opinion . Lovely , friendly service as always . See you again soon .

I just took my 93 year old Mum here for Sunday lunch. She probably doesn't have many years left, so me and my Sister are trying to take her out for posh treats whenever we can. The food was delicious - above average traditional English roast. Not quite haute cuisine, but above average. I had the braised belly pork which was fine, my Mum had the roast beef, which was not fine. Sadly, the beef was exceptionally tough, quite gristly, and not very well carved either: closer to thick slabs than finely carved roast slices. My Mum is of that war generation that "don't like to make a fuss" so she laboured away hacking and sawing at her beef. Eventually on the edge of tears she was persuaded to hand over her plate to me to cut up her meat (poignant mother-son role reversal), and even *I* struggled! She ate as much as she could (remember: war generation, rationed meat, never let anything go to waste) but gave up, declaring: "well, I've had enough, I don't *need* any more and I can't face any more chewing". I'm not one to complain - remember, my pork was fine - but I drew the waitress's attention to the problem and she said she'd talk to the chef. She returned insisting that she couldn't offer us a discount (NOTE: I didn't *ask* for a discount) but she could offer us a free dessert. We politely declined, mainly because that wasn't the point. The point was that the food wasn't good and the chef needs to know that. We left, not feeling at all that our message had been heard: there was a problem with the beef, and it doesn't matter how many discounts or free desserts you give people, if the meat is impossibly tough people aren't going to come back. My Mother's final word on our lunch outing: "Disastrous". I tipped the waitress who had been very attentive, but we won't be going back because it was expensive (£72 for 2 x 2 course meals) and the chef can't cook.

Nice little pub with superb staff & drinks, is a little pricey but nice to spend money at a independent than a big high street chain

We celebrated my husbands birthday with a large party of friends.. from start to finish it was superb, the waitresses all friendly n attentive, the delicious food was served quickly even though a large party.. certainly be our local bar/diner from now on ..

This is really near the train station so I popped in for a beer as the weather was good and it was a Friday afternoon. The staff initially were really nice and professional and the place itself is beautiful (Kudos to the owner/designer) Anyway, I thought I'd pay a compliment to the (other) member of bar staff, the beer is really nice and I said; "It's a nice pint here" to which she said; "Oh yeah, I brewed it myself!" I just kind of laughed but realised she wasn't joking . I was only giving a huge thumbs up, I was thinking of holding a small family celebration there if that is an option? (I hadn't approached them about this yet) Overall, a really nice place, beautiful decor and ambience, spoiled by a strange comment. I won't be back.

This place was recommended to me by a friend and colleague. It’s the last time I listen to his recommendation.😄. In fairness, his experience was sometime ago and maybe the kitchen staff have changed. On entering the restaurant, it appeared to be quite stylish, but went downhill from there. The wine list was very poor, it states the colour, the grape type and the price. In other words, you know what you’re paying, but you don’t know what you’re getting. So I had a beer. The menu, mainly comprised of burgers, pizza and pasta. My chicken pasta dish was very poor.

We rang the restaurant on our way there, and they were happy to oblige, although we couldn't be too sure of our arrival time. We booked for 8 and were about 10 minutes late, which was no problem. Our waitress Kerrie was a delight, very bubbly and very helpful and the food was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome, and although we are not local, we shall definitely be going back when next in the area.

Thanks to all the staff who made a sad occasion a celebration. Gathering for a wake, the whole afternoon was seamless, with the complete attention of the staff without being noticed or in any way imposing on the grief that was being felt. Impeccable service and a selection of food, second to none, ti's establishment is a must for happier gatherings. If you need relaxation and an unrushed time with service to be bottled, this venue a must.

There is a lovely vibe here and as we’re within walking distance we really value the close proximity. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. We’ve eaten here a few times and the food is exactly what you would expect in terms of quality and presentation at this price point. Just some minor feedback - which we hope you find helpful, the burger one of our party ordered (which he said was delicious btw) was really too large for the small board it was served on - and the 4 tempura prawns - in two of the starters would have felt better value for money if there were 1 or 2 more. The ham hock starter also contained chorizo which wasn’t mentioned on the menu and as my daughter is pregnant she had to send it back as she’s unable to eat cured meat. The waitress couldn’t have been more helpful and the kitchen provided a speedy replacement, none of this detracted from our visit and we will certainly be booking again.

It had been a very long time since we had had a Sunday lunch in a restaurant. The whole experience was superb, the staff were excellent and the food cooked perfectly. The Mackerel pate to start, the beef for main with a side of cauliflower cheese were all excellent, nothing could be faulted. Whilst I personally didn’t have dessert others in our group had the Tiramisu and the Brownie, all said they were delicious. We don’t normally have Sunday lunches but we wouldn’t hesitate to return here.

One of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in a restaurant for years . The beef was cooked perfectly and portions are very generous . I come here quite often for drinks and food and I can honestly say that all the staff have always been fantastic . Nothing is too much trouble them .

Sunday Lunch. Seriously the best Sunday lunch we have had. Service impeccable and the food was to die for. The Pork belly was just delicious.

Despite living a few miles away, I had not heard of this place until I read on Social Media that they had sadly been broken into. I felt very sad for their pain so when my husband asked me last night where do I want to eat, this place popped into my mind so we had no preconceived ideas on how good it would be - and we were totally blown away! The staff we really friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was totally amazing and even my teenager who is a bit fussy, loved all the food - in fact you 'forced' us all to have a dessert! The deconstructed Mango & Passionfruit Cheesecake was amazing and after the pork belly and starter, I was struggling to find space (but managed)!! Would highly recommend Platform Three for the food, service and ambiance ad will definitely be back.

Have been here a number of times now and absolutely love it. We have always found it to have a lovely atmosphere and it is so good to have a nice bar within walking distance as there isn't anything else like this place in the local area. The staff are always super friendly and if you get to do one of their unlimited wings nights, the chicken wings are delicious!

This restaurant / Bistro is a well run lovely family business. A warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The bar was busy and vibrant and the restaurant area was quiet and cozy enough to have conversations and nice food. Our waitress (Evee) for the evening was very attentive and providing a very professional and courtious service and talked us through the daily special and seemed to be enjoying her first day at work.

As a visitor from Canada I was looking for a good solo meal. They had wonderful vegan options here which were delicious. I felt at home with the ambiance, the great food and the wonderful service. I had a pizza and was blown away with the quality (and that's having recently returned from a holiday in Italy too!) . Quality food. Lovely ambiance, decent prices, nice drinks selection (the wine bar side of the restaurant is lovely in it's own right) and really friendly, genuine staff who clearly care about their customers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Exceptionally good service from Kerry and Panos, who were very friendly and gave great advice about the food. The menu does change every so often, but if they still have it in the future, the salmon pesto linguine is excellent (if you have no nut allergy) - but even if you do, as did one of the people I was with, the chefs were quick-thinking and creative and came up with a chilli and garlic sauce which also tasted fab. We recently went to Italy, and the pizzas at Platform Three are actually just as good as even the best pizzas there, which really says everything. If only we weren't already stuffed by that point then we would have loved to try their desserts. The prices were very reasonable - a main course with a drink was about £20 per person, which is a good deal considering the very high quality of the food. Kerry and Panos were very attentive, coming round not once, not twice, but three times to make sure we were enjoying everything. I couldn't recommend this place more highly!

Don’t bother, opening times are ridiculous. Not open Saturday afternoons and can’t book a table online. Missing out on so much business by not opening at prime times. Would love a more committed local bar within walking distance as this has everything apart from ease of access!

A lovely relaxed atmosphere, we came to Platform Three for a girly catch up. There was 6 of us and we all agreed that the service and food were both amazing! I particularly loved how we were not rushed in between courses and had a good amount of time after each course before the next course was served. I’d highly recommend this lovely little gem and already looking forward to visiting again!

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch recently. Wings were tasty as was the beef. Service excellent and wine delicious! Wish they would do cheese as a dessert, we declined this course but if you have a sweet tooth, what was being served to other diners did look scrumptious! So relaxing and a super ambiance. Not many places in Olton like this so definitely a destination dining choice!

Love this place! It’s family owned and it shows as they care about their customers. The bar is perfect for a few drinks before lunch or dinner or just a lazy afternoon drink or three. You won’t find food to match anywhere near and the service is great. What’s not to like………!
