Went for family lunch Great food chicken special ,mixed grill ,small fish and chips (small it was huge !) I had pork belly absolutely fantastic with Apple mash Fantastic,huge portions ,Highly recommend we will be back in January,a big Thank You to lovely staff helpful and friendly well worth the drive from Gloucester 👏👏

My friends and i went for lunch today and all had cheese toasties the bread was the worst for toast they were all rock hard so couldnt eat much of it so wouldn't go back again

I booked the Moatshed for a surprise 80th birthday party for my mum. We had just over 50 guests and I would say this was a perfect number for the venue. I was given a wide choice of items to create an afternoon tea menu, along with access in the morning to put up decorations. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, even when we had people drop out at the last minute - we were even given one guest's full selection of vegetarian afternoon tea to take home for her, along with a large 'doggy bag of leftovers. They catered for various dietary requirements, including vegan and gluten free, with no problems at all. I cannot praise them all enough - all the staff were a joy to deal, the venue was spotless and we were really looked after.

Superb food and service with a great choice. This is now called The Maidenhead so a bit confusing finding it on this site!!!

Just been out for a wonderful meal. Service was friendly. Ambience was relaxed. Food was delicious - especially the deep fried plum tart. Will definately be back

I come here very frequently for food, this is the best Nepalese food you get around any nearby surrounding areas. Never had a bad meal here, the mixed grills are absolutely fantastic, all curries are amazing with a lot of choice of special naan breads. Also, please ask the staff for what specials are on, and also ask them about the things they do what aren’t on the menu (mixed meat noodles, turkey bites, goat curry, mixed meat wraps. You can eat your food in the restaurant, which is lovely and quiet, although I eat my food in the bar area, as it’s a bit more lively, and that suits me more. Definitely recommend to everyone and I will be frequently visiting this place in the future

Friendly staff , excellent service , good range of drinks available , ours were just perfect , food looked great , friendly atmosphere, absolutely do not recognise the “rude, unfriendly” reviews here, completely recommend. (New Managers (since Oct 24) said is being refurbished soon , then re opening)

Wonderful place to eat.Staff and food really good.Had the lamb for Sunday lunch which was amazing so tasty . Highly recommend.

I hadn't been to the Shakespeare for years, so I was very pleasantly surprised when we stepped inside last night—a very warm and welcoming atmosphere with good, home-cooked food and friendly front-of-house service. I had a veggie dish and was asked if I was vegan, so that the correct ingredients could be used. My husband had short ribs, which were delicious. We shared a well-made mixed berry crumble and custard. I would definitely recommend this pub as an eatery and we will return soon.

Great blsck country alb pub. We booked the backbroom with the skittles it was fab. Pirces was great vibe was great.

Charming tea room with friendly staff, delicious breakfast, great coffee and loved the decor, especially the fun crockery and fairy lights. I had the purple toast which was delicious and well presented. Will definitely come again

Very welcoming to us and our 2 dogs. Charming and friendly staff. Amazing food well presented. We chose from the Boxing Day menu which was extensive and interesting.
