We had a night away treat . Booked a general room very pretty but even though it had a fan albeit broken base it was much needed as no windows only two velux in roof. Middle of night it rained HARD & awoken to wet feet!! After finding remote half asleep closed roof but then was even warmer I room!! The other thing as entering the room noticed straight away the vekux were very dirty I understand being in roof hard to clean but literally eyes drawn to that as you walk in . The bed however WOW THE COMFIEST BED EVER!!!!! lovely bedding too!! We had tasting menu which was ok the mail was outstanding & dessert but other parts rather odd & fish part was t nice so left it only part cured . Staff super friendly & professional ! Breakfast was below par bacon hard & obvs reheated not impressed after reading such top reviews from other diners . However overheard the owner was cooking as chef was off . Pretty place though

Lovely place and staff. HOWEVER, do not book for a group (I booked for 14 adults and four children) as you will be asked to select food from a limited menu for EVERYONE in your party to eat the same starter, main and dessert. Really challenging / disappointing if you have people that have different tastes as they will be ‘forced’ to eat food they don’t like to appease the party. I have never experienced this anywhere else hence the low rating. To be fair to Eckington Manor, they did reimburse me but I felt this was not made explicitly clear when making the original booking. This advice and feedback might save you some time / disappointment.

The location - The welcome - The room - The food - The service = **FAULTLESS** Arrived at 15:00 to a friendly warm welcome before being taken across to our room in the main house - this was amazing. The furnishings are all to a really high standard and in keeping with the history of the building. Our room was bright and airy, with a great view across the Worcestershire countryside. The bed was huge and really comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with great quality fittings. At 19:00 we were treated to an awesome 7 course meal - special mention to Matt who was the most attentive host and looked after us like royality. Each course was stunning with stand out dishes being the Evesham tomato salad and Longhorn Beef. Local top quality ingrediants and all presented immaculately. A sound nights sleep before going back to the restaurant for an impressive breakfast. 100% recommend Eckington Manor - it really is a gem of an establishment and deserves recognition as everything was simply outstanding.

We stopped here overnight while travelling south, booking a ground floor room with breakfast as well as an eveningmeal. The room was adequate but dark with a toilet that ran all night. The evening meal, main course, arrived warm and although we were offered to have it replated, we just wanted to get through the meal and get to bed,we had had a long day. The meal should not have been sent out of the kitchen just warm and not hot. The breakfast was excellent! Would we return? No.

We return as regularly as we can, and the food, accommodation and service is as impeccable as ever, in a beautiful, tranquil setting. Our 3 course meal was well worth the 300 mile round trip alone! Lovely to see the sustainability ethos gathering pace, with vegan bedding and lovely toiletries (100 Acres - a local artisan company) in refillable bottles (and to buy). Thank you Team Eckington for always putting a spring back in our step

I was at eckington for the cookery course. Prior to booking I emailed and stated my dietary requirements. I was expected to cook three dishes where the main ingredient was pork which didn’t fit with what I had informed them of prior to me paying and booking the class. They ignored my dietary requirements. I do not eat a joint of pork yet was expected to cook it and other dishes including pork I don’t eat. I left without making anything . I left without lunch . I had travelled 5 hours in total by car to go there. I emailed and suggested a partial refund which I thought was very reasonable given my wasted day, wasted course fee of £185 and wasted fuel . They refused to refund anything . I find their stance unreasonable hence my one star 🌟

We visited here for a friend’s birthday and had the 5 course tasting menu with the wine flight. It was a terrible overpriced disappointment. The food was very average, beef shoulder undercooked and stringy, the rest completely forgettable. The wine flight was served in an ad hoc fashion with no explanation of the pairings, most were served later than the course. I think that the ordinary menu is fine in line with a country pub but I would not bother with the tasting menu. I get the feeling that the restaurant is living off the reputation of the previous chef.

I visited Eckington Manor to celebrate a milestone birthday for my better half. I had booked in for the 7 course taster menus and over night stay. The location is a a must, gorgeous surroundings and a fantastic location close to the town of Pershore, surrounded by the Malvern Hills in the county of Worcestershire. We arrived at Ekington Manor for around 5pm. Check in is on the ground floor of the restaurant building but not obvious, but was eventually greeted by one of the staff who were more than happy to help. Our evening meal was booked for 7:30pm which was perfect as this gave time to have a wonder around Elkington village before getting ready. The 7 course taster menu was a great choice. Giving great variety and tastes. I had opted for the accompanying wine flight which again is well worth adding to your experience to compliment the food through each of the courses. The accommodation was very well laid out and perfectly in charge yet for the building period. Our room was in the main building surrounded by original beams and signs of when the building would have been used with a central fire place back in its original time. Breakfast included lunch with the accommodation was a delight and a perfect finish to a great weekend. We even had time to pop over to Stratford on our way back. Thank you to all the staff for a delightful time and superb meal.

Our room in the converted milking parlour was spacious and lovely and the food at dinner was terrific. Their chef is a gem. Breakfast was a (minor) letdown - we felt it was rather basic given the price we had paid and if you wanted a flat white or Americano instead of the filter coffee you had to pay (top dollar) extra.

Warmly greeted on arrival , good atmosphere in restaurant. Given time to look at menu. Whilst awaiting starters two different amuse bouches served , both very tasty. Starters :- Trout and corned beef , both enjoyable. The accompaniments to the main elements enhanced their taste. Main :- Shortrib of beef just right , carrots far too hard and were left on plate ,neither of us like undercooked vegetables.. Tenderloin of pork plus pork belly excellent , sauces tasty. Dessert :- Poached rhubarb strips on top of a vanilla custard castle. Chocolate fondant with soft centre . Both provided a pleasant end to the meal. Bottle of wine with meal , a bit on the expensive side. Service efficient , polite and cheerful , no complaints.

We took my uncle for afternoon tea at Eckington Manor. We were seated downstairs where it was very cosy. I had rung up and asked if I could pay in advance to ensure that my uncle didn't try to pay and they were very accommodating. I had been asked if there were any dietary requirements and I said that I wasn't aware of any. Unfortunately, when the afternoon tea arrived, my uncle said he wasn't able to have brown bread for medical reasons. The very friendly staff arranged for further white sandwiches to be made. The festive Afternoon Tea was delightful. lovely finger sandwiches (which was handy having the extra as we were all very hungry having been stuck in M5 traffic jams for hours) the crispest, lightest smoked salmon quiches, sausage roll slices, light scones and a selection of delightful cakes, the best of which was a cherry mousse and chocolate confection. The pots of tea just kept coming and although the other diners had long left, they did not hurry us and actually told us to stay as long as we liked.I would highly recommend this and will certainly return in the future.

From the phone call late friday to rocking up on the saturday and ending chatting with the staff at the end of the evening, everything was just, well, wonderful. The beetroot and goat's cheese starter I had was excellent, and was exactly the kind of fresh tasting dish you want at this time of year. The sea bream I had for a main was cooked absolutely perfectly, which takes some skill as every time I've had this fish in other restaurants the thinner edges of the fish have always been a bit tough. Tucked away in a quiet backwater of Eckington, the venue has adequate parking for the number of covers and staying guests. The presentation of the food and the natural flavours was delightful, and we were grateful for the leisurely and unrushed service which enabled us to enjoy and digest each morsel. As the lunchtime menu changes regularly, it would be unfair to highlight a dish in case it was not available on the day of a visit. All-in-all our party admitted it was one of the best lunchtime experiences, and the venue is strongly recommended to those with a taste for good food.

The attraction is the chef with his TV achievements to reassure us before we got there. And we weren't let down. The food is quite superb: marvellous duck, excellent sea bram. What's odd is that the large dining room is soul-less. It's a big space with grey decor and very minimalist. Somehow, though, it's an unexciting environment. The service was fine, but it was mainly by gap year undergraduates waiting to start uni. That's fine unless you have a question about the wine. The wine list is not nearly as extensive as you'd expect from a place as 'fine' as this, although there is a token Ch Figeac at £265 a bottle. Perhaps you have to stay there in the Elizabethan building to get a true flavour of the 'Manor' and a meal alone won't give it to you.

We stayed overnight on a Saturday night for my wife's birthday treat. The food was lovely and the location allowed us to have a walk the next morning along the river to walk off breakfast! The dining room is airy and a lovely space but the tables are quite close together; not a problem unless the people at the next table are loud or obnoxious! We had a really special meal and would definitely go back.

We had booked a while ago and about coming for dinner to celebrate a special event. We arrived at 7:45 and the venue looked very promising. However we had noted a large party of approximately 20 people on the front lawn and my heart sank slightly. When we went into the restaurant we were not asked if we wanted to sit and have a drink but Ushered straight upstairs. I guess they wanted to try and get our irder into the kitchen before the large group were going to eat.

Our first visit and what a lovely surprise. The food is wonderful, unusual ingredients with marvellous flavours, served by charming and well trained staff. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed with none of the stiffness to be encountered by a lot of lesser establishments.

We came across Eckington Manor almost by chance, and were so delighted we did. We had a really wonderful meal, and thought it was one of the best restaurants we have visited for a long time. Great cuisine, beautifully presented- just lovely!! Service was excellent too, and the setting relaxed and comfortable. And all at a very reasonable price, given the quality. We will most certainly be back.

I booked dinner on a Fri evening as a surprise for my husband’s birthday. I had also booked us both onto one of the cookery courses with Mark Stinchcombe himself, for Oct. On arrival, I had managed to arrange for Mark to come and present my husband with his ‘gift’ whilst enjoying a G&T; on the patio outside, which he did and it was perfect. We had a really nice chat with Mark (which I believe was made possible as it was before service) and it was a lovely way to start the evening.

In the nice area of Cotswold in a small quiet and nice village. It is located in the middle of the nice Eckington Manor hotel. It offers very well prepared dishes out of selected ingredients in some cases within the English tradition. But also in some cases integrating Mediterranean flavours

I’ve just had a fabulous lunch with my family at Eckington Manor today. Mark Stinchcombe, you truly deserved your Masterchef trophy. It was amazing amazing food and the staff couldn’t do enough to help with my disabled mum in a wheelchair. If only everywhere was as helpful and thoughtful. So lovely to see Mark hard at work in the kitchen too and smiling as he did so. Homemade bread was delicious and the food was all top quality and beautifully presented. Not cheap but excellent value for the location and standard of food.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights- amazing experience, very relaxing surroundings, beautiful gardens, it’s a world on its own! On the down side the room was very small for the price we were paying. Hesitant to think how much the bigger rooms costs!

A table for six people was booked well in advance as I know how popular this restaurant/hotel is. My sister & her husband came up from the Isle-of-Wight to stay at The Manor for two nights. They were incredibly impressed with their room. We were greeted by Judy Garner, the owner, who remembered us from last time. Huge smiles from ALL the staff and absolutely no rush. Pre-dinner drinks were served in their nice little downstairs bar and then we were escorted upstairs to our table. A lift is available for any disabled person.

Just had lunch At Eckington Manor with a friend yesterday, and both came away huge fans and planning to return, They have only recently started lunch (Thursday-Saturday) having previously just been open evenings and Sunday lunch, which is not my favourite meal. The setting is gorgeous, the hotel estate a perfect cross of contemporary (the dining room, kitchen and cookery school are in a converted dutch barn across the courtyard from the medieval main hotel building). The rapid fixe menu was perfect, and we both struggled a little to narrow down our selections. Everything we ate was beautifully prepared and presented, and delicious. It's fancy food and the portions are perfectly pitched for a multi course meal. Val had a chicken terrine with some delicate pickled vegetables (more than a garnish, but not too much) followed by a fat loin of hake. I had the creamy soup (was it cauliflower?) with a single largish tortellini in it followed by lamb shoulder with just enough portions of delicate mash and broccoli with some lovely purees - thankfully, not just smears (if it's good enough to be served on your plate there needs to be enough to actually eat). We had been unsure we'd be up for puds, but managed a very rich salted caramel tart with milk ice cream and a dainty slice of baked custard on the lightest of pastry bases, with a tart rhubarb sorbet and confit rhubarb. The service was outstanding, too. And the views from the 1st floor dining room across the Worcestershire countryside were just lovely. Altogether, I can't recommend this highly enough. My experience has been long waiting lists to get a table for the more established Sunday lunch service, and I urge everyone to get there for what must be a more interesting and diverse menu on other days.

It is incomprehensible how the Michelin inspectors can have omitted to include Eckington Manor into their stellar galaxy. The kitchen brigade produces food on an exceptional level , both in terms of imagination and technical expertise - as befits the winner of the "2016 Masterchef, The Profssionals " head chef Mark Stitchcombe.

The food at Eckington manor is a constant array of flavours that you will not find anywhere else, presented in a way you won't find anywhere else, and is an absolute delight. I dream of being able to cook like this. Service is friendly, knowledgable and unobtrusive.

Arrived in the evening for my 66th birthday. Only 3 couples were booked into the restaurant that night. Service at the bar was excellent and the restaurant was intimate and dark which probably explained why the three waiting staff never noticed our wine glasses were empty....for £147 for two l usually expect and get my wine glass filled without asking. The short rib was well cooked and the puddings were excellent but we both thought that the food was too rich in flavour, something l have never said before. We came out feeling slightly queasy.

The person manning the entrance insisted we wear bands on wrists (plasticised, non-recyclable) which indicated payment of the garden entrance fee which would allow seating in the garden area. Having reserved a table inside, sunny weather tempted us into the garden. No tables were reserved in the garden area. Staff stated they were unable to move an umbrella to provide shade over a table large enough to accommodate the 5 of us. This request was made by 2 very elderly members of the group. We moved to the reserved table inside the tearoom which allowed dogs at tables. Our expectation of a healthy lunch with salads gathered from the wonderful kitchen garden was dashed. Salad leaves came from plastic bags, quiches were supermarket produced and almost nothing locally sourced. Mediocre, bought-in food assembled on site. When asking for water at the table, a glass urn was pointed out to us. “Glasses” were the single use plastic type. 2 of the party, sitting at opposite ends of the table, ordered the same type of tea. One pot between the 2 was provided. When the meals arrived, the waitress stood at the end of the table, announced the contents of the plates and expected to pass them to the person seated next to her for distribution down the table. A second waitress attempted a similar act with the cutlery (wrapped in a serviette) but then did walk around the table and put it in the appropriate place. The attitude of the supervisory staff was high handed. The younger members, although pleasant, were clearly untrained. Although something of a fuss was made about the displaying of the entrance wrist bands if the garden area of the tearoom was to be used, (can only be clearly displayed on a handbag strap or wrist), several customers not displaying bands were seated in the lovely sunny garden. The gardens were simply beautiful.

Early evening meal with 4 friends . We opted for the 2 courses for £10 deal! We tried the 3 options available and each were lovely. Well cooked and presented. Huge choice of dessert - all delicious. Service was friendly and warm - even though as the only person working, she had a lot on her plate! With drinks - it cost £16 per person. The main menu was also good value. A couple of us would have preferred to see a couple of salad option on the menu so that’s what would have made it 5* However absolutely worth a visit.
