Took my granddaughter out for lunch today to Cottage Kitchen Cafe, she has to have GF food and is also vegetarian, so not easy. We both had a lovely meal, served by a very pleasant waitress, all the staff were very helpful, an altogether very pleasant experience, thank you, Cottage Kitchen, we'll definitely come again. X

What a lovely pub. My wife and I decided to walk most of the pubs on the CAMRA Warwick trail but not in the order suggested. We started by parking in the Priory Park car park giving ourselves three hours to visit 4 pubs. After a quick cut across the park and directions from a friendly local we found our first destination. You can see from the outside that a lot of time has been spent making this pub, which is the base of the Slaughterhouse micro brewery, attractive. The inside is even better. As soon as you step through the door you get a warm welcome from the staff. Maintaining its “real pub” fittings and fixtures while providing comfortable and well designed furniture the pub has a homely atmosphere. The smartly decorated walls are adorned with some lovely pictures. You can view the brewery through a window in the pleasant back room snug. I tried the 3.8% Slaughterhouse Alright, Alright, Alright and it was definitely Alright in fact it was very tasty. My wife who was the designated driver kept to 0% drinks. We could have happily stayed longer but we had more places to discover but we will definitely return.

We recently went to Berrys as a family visiting from Australia and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and the staff were super friendly and very accomodating. I’d highly recommend their pancakes and we will definitely be coming back again if we’re in the area!

We were staying in a hotel 10mins away from this beautiful pub. Super duper dog friendly and amazing lovely warm staff! Food absolutely incredible and tasty. Honestly couldn’t fault this pub and would highly recommend if in the area! One of the nicest pubs I’ve been to in a while, they’re doing everything right!

After reading reviews on this cafe, breakfast was needed, so today I drove for an hour breakfast was ordered, Sarah's special, fantastic, eggs, salmon, fresh and tasty. Coffee and great service. Quiet because of virus, but when you have worded all week I just had to make a visit. People phone to book. After a couple of yrs, the impression this little cafe has left on my memory is very good.

I want to leave a Review as soon as possible after our lovely first time at The Windmill Inn yesterday… it was a celebratory meal for my Birthday! My husband Martin and daughter Laura and her husband Rich and our grand-daughter Freya had the most wonderful meal… from being warmly welcomed to very attentive yet subtle service by all the lovely people at The Windmill Inn – we could not fault it… four year old Freya was presented with an amazing activity pack and well my daughter and her husband said it was the best they have ever seen of all the places they had ever been to eat with Freya… which is saying something! The food was delicious – really was home-cooked hearty food. We all enjoyed the atmosphere and at this time of the year the lovely log fire. I would highly recommend this really beautiful Inn and we shall be back and especially to investigate the garden which we know has the most amazing views. The Windmill Inn is so well placed on the main road to mid-Wales on the west side of Shrewsbury and I think would make a wonderful stop for a refreshing break if travelling to the coast or anywhere! Just a thought! Definitely a ‘destination venue’… do stop if you are passing or make a plan to visit.
