Went on Sunday 11th Feb, food ok, could have been hotter, would have told them, if anyone bothered to ask, service very poor, young team, no leadership, slow with drinks, took 3 attempts to deliver 1 coffee, brought over with no sugar, had to be asked for, no spoon had to be asked for. No goodbye

Booked a table on a damp Tuesday night, restaurant was not busy so service was prompt. I had the belly pork which was ok not tremendous probably wouldn’t have it again if ime honest, rolled with black pudding and very little crackling which is always the show stopper for me. My partner had fish and chips which was very nice, a lovely setting and friendly staff.

My partner and I are staying here for 2 nights and so far we are very pleased! 😍 The food is Gorgeous with delicious taste! Compliments to the chef/s... and I dont say that often! 😋 The room has a beautiful lay out and the beds are so comfortable especially after a long drive! 😴 Absolutely AMAZING staff! They are so friendly, polite and welcoming. The pub should really price themselves on the great staff that they have! 🥰 I would highly recommend! ❤ I Placed a picture of the food below. On arrival we were greeted with a very friendly welcome. The staff were extremely attentive throughout and the food was overall very good. I had the warm bread with oil which was nice but the menu gave the impression it should have arrived prior to the starter. For starter I had the parfait which was nice but could potentially have been slightly stronger in flavour. I then had the huntsman burger with added pulled pork. Nothing describes this burger other than perfection. The helping of pulled pork (additional cost) was very generous and the french fries again generous and also delicious. My only critique would be £3 for a Pepsi is incredibly inflated and not necessary. Similarly the bread at I think £3.50 is a bit steep for 4 pieces. Overall I would recommend going and with how busy it was I think others would say the same.

Great early evening meal on Saturday 15th February - The staff were professional, courteous and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Service was excellent. However the meal we ordered was superbly cooked - beautifully presented and remains a lasting memory - I cannot recommend the venue, food, and service highly enough!! Will certainly return on my next visit to Shropshire - Thank you all for a superb evening and meal

Todays sunday lunch platr for 2 was just amazing its great value for money plenty of food for 2 and all cooked so well we will be back

We chose this restaurant for a family dinner. We loved the locality and the ambience of the dining area, but had mixed fortunes with regard to the food. My daughter and her partner are vegans and were delighted with their dishes. My Granddaughter tucked into her Huntsman Burger with relish, whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the fish pie. However my partner chose duck and was very disappointed. It was extremely tough, so much so, she had to send it back and chose another dish. The staff were extremely obliging, helpful and courteous and provided a free on the house drink for her disappointment. The deserts were delicious so, apart from this one dish, our experience would have been perfect.

on arrival at 1pm, we were only provided with a main meal menu and had to ask for lunch/bar menu. We ordered 2 huntsman burgers, one with chedder rather than halloumi. the meals arrived but the cheese swap had not been made. the buns were burned black. we had the buns swapped but unfortunately the taste had infiltrated the whole meal. no-one came to check on us, no-one asked us if we'd like more drinks and we had to wave staff down for sauce. the kids meal was supposed to come with icecream but no-one asked us if we wanted puddings. staff began to clear our table before my daughter had finished eating. when we got up from the table, we were handed the bill without first being asked if all was ok. we would have complained there and then, but we were made to feel like no-one wanted to know/had the time to ask/cared in the slightest. shame the food and service failed to meet expectations.

Me and my family was out for a walk and came across this lovely little pub in a small village call little wenlock and I have to say the place was really nicely laid out and CLEAN and the staff was really friendly and helpful I can’t fault them in any way and my god the food was out of this world and I’m telling you there was that much food for the price and every bite was heavenly if your in the area please try it for your self and don’t just take my word for it

went for a family meal and the food was very nice. good portions and lovely puddings. up market pub and nice atmosphere. my only criticism was that the plates weren't hot so the food went quite cold, but still tasty. staff were friendly and attentive

We had reserved a table for my grandads birthday everyone enjoyed their food. I loved my vegan burger and sweet potato fries! Was a little disappoint that there were no options for a vegan pudding other than sorbet.

Was attending an event at Telford Int. conference centre. So glad I stayed here instead of the over priced chain hotels in town centre. Only 25mins away even at rush hour and M54 convenient. Lovely evening meal, nice real ale and spotlessly clean throughout. Friendly staff happy to help. Such a quiet spot. Ticks all the boxes. Shame I was only there one night!

We dined here twice on a recent short break at the Buckatree Hall Hotel 2 miles down the road and if it wasn't for the driving would have come again. The restaurant is light and bright, the staff pleasant, the service fine and everything we ordered was very good. We called in one morning to look at the menu, which was very tempting to us, and as we were undecided which night to book for we were allowed to book for 2 nights and just let them know if we were not coming - excellent service. In the event, we so enjoyed our meals on the first night we came again on the following night and it was equally enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended!

Found this pub by chance stopped for a couple of drinks. Looks very clean, tidy and modernised. Has rooms available so could be worth noting if in the area. Car park and out side seating. Quiet a few of couple walking to the pub which was surprising giving its location.

Try Sunday lunch. A great atmosphere. Helpful efficient staff in comfortable surroundings. A good selection of drinks. Oh! By the way the food is good too at reasonable prices

Hamburguesa y patatas fritas comida agradable después de subir el Wrekin. Pequeño bar con mesas para comer en el frente del pub, que es perro, así como zona de estar patio exterior que es precioso en un día soleado. La comida era buena aunque un poco caro.

Fuimos en spur del momento. Bonito lugar y aseos muy limpios. Tenía 3 horas de espera/4 por 4 conjuntos de sándwiches y parece no haber orden en que la orden fue realizada primero! No mantequilla en canapés caseros pescado así que en vez seca pero sabrosa. Ciabatta muy buena con BLT bacon fabuloso. Sandwich de jamón en el menú, pero no hizo que nuestro amigo en su solicitud. Buena variedad de cervezas, pero almuerzo ligero elección bastante restrictiva. Sopa del día, Apple y parsnip no es del gusto de todo el mundo. Todos los alimentos de origen local. Y bien de precio.

Hace poco visitamos este restaurante por recomendación de nuestra hija. A nuestra llegada nos recibió una cálida bienvenida del personal. La entrada era a la zona de bar que estaba limpia y ordenada, posiblemente recientemente decorado. El comedor era de un tamaño razonable, de nuevo limpio y ordenado, con mucho espacio entre las mesas.

Visitamos aquí para ver mi hijo y novia. Es un lugar que visita con frecuencia ya que disfrutar de la comida. Es una buena comida en un ambiente agradable. Muy limpio y espacioso. La comida estaba bien, aunque un poco escaso y demasiado caro para lo que te daban. Bien preparado, aunque tostadas para paté fue quemada. No es suficiente mantequilla servían para tostadas. Buena selección de comida y cervezas y un personal amable. Me decepcionó que la comida no se sirve en platos calientes así que fui frío rápidamente, aunque no había mucho de eso. En general, bien para una ocasión especial, pero no es un lugar que volvería sobre una base regular por el precio.

My partner and l stayed at the Huntsman for a midweek overnight stay, what a treat, the staff were very pleasant, nothing was too much trouble and they were cheerful. The evening meal was cooked and served well, the room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfy. We asked for a little later breakfast, no problem at all. We will certainly visit again. A big thank you to all the staff ;-)

Después de una tarde lúgubre en Ironbridge Gorge, nos encontramos con el Huntsman en nuestra ruta a casa y decidimos parar para comer. Estamos encantados de que habíamos hecho. Tiene un ambiente muy acogedor y personal y disfrutamos de nuestra comida en el bar. El restaurante principal se veía muy tentadora, pero no estaba abierta en ese momento. Hay habitaciones junto al restaurante que parecía ser ideal para una estancia en la zona. Teníamos bastante comida básica - Cigalas y patatas fritas y salchichas y puré, pero ambos estaban bien cocinados y agradable. Sin duda lo recomiendo si estás en la zona. Amplio aparcamiento exterior.

This place looked soo much better from the inside than the outside allows. We were pleasantly surprised in the excellence of the food, the selection of drinks & the service provided. A tad pricey but you get what you pay for. That's for sure.

My wife and I had our Anniversary meal here. we've eaten here before many times and I must say it never lets down ,we had a excellent meal. well done.

Visitamos el Huntsman la semana pasada para el cumpleaños de mi madre, había cinco de nosotros en una preciosa mesa redonda en el fuego. He comido allí antes, pero varios de los otros no y nos quedamos agradablemente sorprendidos de que el menú ofrecido algo un poco diferente, hash black pudding de empezar con un huevo puerro cayera y delicioso whisky con tuerca de pino. Buenas porciones y sabrosa comida, el servicio era un poco lento, pero la camarera fue muy educado y amable, un entorno agradable, lo recomiendo!!

Mi marido y yo visitamos el Huntsman, última noche como un regalo a mediados de semana mientras que nuestro hijo es un viaje con el colegio. Decidimos probar los 3 cursos especiales entre semana por £13,95 me decidí por Parsnip, Apple y mostaza sopa para empezar, que estaba delicioso. Yo había lubina para las principales que se servía con Basil pesto nueva patatas y cálido espinacas, que nunca había probado lubina antes, pero estaba encantado con mi elección, que seguí con manzana y crema pastelera invierno Berry crumble. Mi marido había hongos de campo cubiertas con queso de cabra para empezar, acompañados de cerdo, puré de patatas, kale y una salsa peppercorn para main y el mayor trozo de pegajoso toffee pudding de postre. Todos los cursos se presentaron muy bien y tenía un sabor maravilloso. La decoración y los alrededores eran de buen gusto y fue un placer sentarse en el comedor. Sin duda visitar el Huntsman, otra vez.

Having had such good sandwiches at lunchtime (served with fires and dressed salad) we tries to book for the same evening dinner but they were already fully booked (Fri evening) - but I guess that's a good sign! Decent choice of local ales.

Great price as they do a mid-week lunch. I had prawn cocktail followed by cottage pie followed by crem brule....all courses tasted fantastic and great presentation. We were totally full after the 2nd course but managed to sqeeze it in and it was the best creme brule ever.....love food at the huntsman going to miss it when in holland.

we visited this pub because we had been told about the "facelift" it was having from previous times. Nice rustic feel in the bars, restaurant looked a little like a large front room. Chose to eat in the bar area. Food was ordered easily, and arrived quickly. Food was good quality and plentiful. Good beers on tap. will visit again

Eaten here before so treated some friends visiting from Australia-oh dear!! what a mistake-tough steak, cold chips and vegetables. Do not know how to handle complaints as they were totally nonplussed and really did not know how to handle the situation. The waitresses were very good-pity about the management

Lovely starter but such a shame about the main, the steak was supposed to be chargrilled but unfortunatley was covered in charcoal as if it had been left on a BBQ to crisp. Customer service definitley not up to standards, when I made staff aware the steak was poorly cooked I was only offered a replacement steak. By this point as you can imagine I was put off completely so refused this offer and nothing else was offered, no discount or refund. Very arrogant when also replying to my emailed complaint. Would just like to mention that customers give feedback to improve standards not to be awkward. Will not be returning to this resturant.

Found this restaurant whilst staying in the local area. It was lovely and well worth a visit. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful and food was lovely.Very busy place and booking are limited, but worth waiting for .

This restaurant was really good. My fiancé took me there for my birthday and it was really nice. The food was tasty and the staff were very helpful. Will go back.
