Brilliant small Country pub. Brilliant carvery

What a great find. A proper country pub this has everything the modern pub hasn't got you step in side and it wouldn't be out of place to see people dressed in 1950's / 60's clothes. Friendly and welcoming immaculately keept and realy good value for money not a rip-off pub. Stop off and see for yourselves a breath of fresh air.

Great beer, friendly pub. Sunday lunches are lovely every other Sunday. A must try if you haven't. Camping in the summer. Excellent landlady Gale. Proper country pub. 👌

We arrived at the pub for our annual family visit. We had not booked so wondered whether food was still being served however on checking with a member of staff we were advised that food was still available and we were immediately seated into the restuarant area.The drinks order that was taken was received in good time and although the food ordered had a longer wait, this suggested that it was being freshly prepared and cooked to order. It also gave us time to spend some quality family time together.When the food the way it was presented indicated that it had been freshly prepared and cooked and looked very hearty in size portion. It also proved to be very tasty.We managed to get to the end but did not have any room left for dessert.Such was the welcome we had received and service we stayed to have a few more drinks to spend more time together. Staff were friendly, service was good and the food tasty so we will return again, maybe before next February this time.We would fully recommend this pub to eat and drink.

Myself, good friend & 1 yr old daughter went here for some lunch last week for the first time. It was absolutely lovely & so good value for money. The staff were so friendly & couldn’t do enough for us as there was more food on the floor than on the tray of the high chair but they wasn’t bothered about this bless them!! The Three Horseshoes is a really lovely village pub in Sambrook. The owners and the locals made us so welcome. We had a meal in the restaurant and it was gorgeous tasty homemade food. Very reasonable prices and generous portions all served very efficiently. Would highly recommend this pub.

I live in Canada and visited here whilst on vacation in England. The beer and food were absolutely fantastic, as was the level of service - a “proper English pub”. Tony the bar manager was extremely helpful with recommending different beers too. Highly recommend!

Staying at the Sambrook Manor Farm house (5 mins walk) this was the ideal place to have dinner at 8.30 (last orders) on Saturday 11th March. The landlord was very friendly and took my order of Sirloin Steak with salad. I tried the three different real ales (perfectly kept) and found Shropshire Gold the best. I also had a bottle of Rioja (non-vintage) with the meal but found it very ordinary! Altogether a good experience and a friendly pub. I recommend eating here.

We called in on Saturday night on our way back from Newport as there was nowhere there that took our fancy .I have to say we were a bit dubious as we walked in as it was empty ..but our fears were soon over , the landlord welcomed us in , got our drinks brought menus over and our delicious homemade food was soon on the table .The pub soon filled up will look forward to returning .

The very warm, welcoming greeting by the landlord makes you feel as if you have been a regular there for years and the service continued to be excellent throughout the meal. All three courses were extremely delicious and were very good portions - extremely good value for money. Each course was delivered quickly without any waiting. Visited this pub with friends while staying nearby.The landlord was very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive and there was a selection of real ales.The menu was pretty extensive, we opted for the Wednesday night special of two courses. All the food was delicious, I had the battered cod and chips, the batter was very crisp and light and the cod was large white flakes and obviously very freshly done.Pudding was a belgian waffle - yum!The inside of the pub was cosy and relaxing, a real fire would have been nice but the weather wasn't too cold, it would have been more for the ambience.I reccommend this pub for good food and drink and a convivial atmosphere.

I stopped by a year after my first visit to the The Three Horseshoes Pub, this time with my wife. Pete, the owner, came out of the bar area as we were walking in. He looked at me a moment, said, "Hi Todd", and verified if I was drinking the same cider I had a year before! He also indicated which of my favorites were still on the menu. This for a customer who was last seen for a few nights a year before! A great memory. My wife and I grabbed a table and had another of Alison's great meals. We returned the second night to find out we had a reserved table just for us. Needless to say we ate there every night we were in the area. One of the nights there was a musician, with a young chap with him, playing songs from the 60's and 70's, my type of music. Two other local gents took over during a break. A great time was had by all. My wife and I were introduced as visitors from the USA by the group, which surprised us. This is a real local pub, not one of those geared for tourists found in the big cities. A hidden treasure. My only concern is word will get out and I won't be the only tourist that knows about this hidden gem:)

Came for a family evening meal. The food was excellent and we were all stuffed. The service was wonderful with a very friendly landlord and waitress. Will definitely be back!!!

Been meaning to write this review for some time.In August whilst staying in the village again, we had a great relaxing family meal served by very friendly staff accompanied with some good ales. The food was great value and above all good quality and fresh.Great local pub, friendly atmosphere and staff and great hosts, we will return.Thanks
