Had our first visit to the Smugglers the night before to watch a great band. Loved the look and feel of the pub too. Thought we'd give the Sunday roast a try. It was delicious! Everything cooked well and plenty of gravy. The best roasties I've had in a long time with a hint of garlic and herb. Good value for money, we had the standard size and were stuffed. We'll definitely be back

Food wasn't great, my daughter had cod which was tasteless and my steak pie was a bit tough and chewy (the meat). Other 2 daughters had pizza which wasn't very great either

The fish portion was exceptionally small for it to been deemed a 'regular' size in our opinion. Both our portions of fish would have made a regular sized fillet elsewhere. My partner jested he's had eaten bigger fish fingers and at how pleased he was that he hadn't ordered us both a smaller portion! It was more like chips with a side fish. We both felt ripped off at paying over £22 for 2 'regular' fish and chips, to receive a child's portion. Other than the size of the fish, it was cooked to perfection, thin crispy batter. The chips were not under cooked or soggy, nice and chunky, very few little, scrappy chips and they tasted really nice. Both members of staff were polite and very efficient.

I found Daniel's Chickerell the day I moved in to my new home in June 2021, looking for a quick takeaway chippy. What a find! Really excellent food. The portions and range of food is great, well cooked and the staff are efficient and friendly. Since then my family have always had our fish and chips from here. I've also used the Littlemoor shop and it's the same there. Daniels is my go-to chippy always.

Went there for lunch and me and my friend decided on the king prawns with lime and chilli with chips and garlic bread for £18 . They were busy but it arrived about 45 min Later , the presentation was amazing , however the sauce was very very oily and tasteless .. the whole thing had no flavour , we were very disappointed. The chips were fab and so was the garlic bread . It was such a shame . Also we had no napkins or wet wipes given to us , so it was a messy eat , don’t know if I’d return and Im A local x

Yummy food - would come here again. Bit odd with ordering in the takeaway part and then having to walk round (via outside) to the seating area but the staff kindly brought our food over to us. We assumed this set up is for busy season and due to the layout of the building nothing else works! A large portion of chips was a great size for 2. A tasty meal for us both.
