Liked the decor very much. Lots of sea references hence sport o call. Mum and I will definitely come back again for a meal. Very nice. Food was great. Ladies were very nice. Mum had Beef and dumplings brought back memories. I had a mixed grill very nice. Both meals very filling.

Not much seems to have been going on here for ages. The Fandom formula was a bit niche and after being hit by a fire a year or two ago never really got back the occasional momentum it had before. The place is now in the final couple of weeks of reworking and reconditioning the interior and the the entirely new management have explained that they intend to open later February 2020 as a dog friendly bar and adjacent room serving a modern twist on pub grub classics. Sounds interesting. These premises have long been very convenient to users of the pontoons at this end of Sutton Harbour. The first restaurants on this site twenty years ago and more were very successful and enjoyable places to use.

Found this little cafe whilst walking the dog and definitely found a little gem. Both of us had the early bird full English which comes with coffee or tea, for less than tenner for two. All cooked fresh and not at all greasy. Staff very friendly and dog got a free sausage. Now can't walk dog pass the cafe without pulling towards the door. Other meals on menu very well priced.

Got one of those really large hot dogs and I was not ready for how comically big it was going to be 🤣 but it also didn't disappoint on taste, I took it home and put cheese and toasted it but honestly even on its own I'm sure would have been so good! Recommend the brownies there as well. Only thing I would say that let's it down is they don't sell chips lol

We were absolutely blown away by Custom House as our wedding venue! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to create the most perfect day for us. Their seamless teamwork, dedication, and hard work made everything feel effortless, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment. A special shoutout to Jo (wedding organiser) and Levi and Jo (front of house)—words cannot express how grateful we are for everything they did. They are truly incredible at what they do, making us feel so special and looked after throughout the entire process. Thanks to them, the day was not only stress-free but also an absolute joy for both us and our guests. Food was gorgeous, looked and tasted amazing, providing a big variety for everyone! If you're considering Custom House for any event, don't hesitate—it's truly a 100% top-tier experience. We will be eternally grateful for the unforgettable memories they helped create!

Went to Friary Mill for breakfast, having read that you could sit down. 3 of us, looking forward to a breakfast and a cup of tea. A cold day, so a sit down in the warm was hoped for. Disaster! No longer a seating area, despite there being reference to it on the website. Breakfast in the cold. At least it tasted good.

Very rude staff (bloke in beanie) soon as you walk in demanding your order, not expecting a red carpet welcome but when you’ve got a menu that size don’t bark at me for my order the moment I walk in. Especially when there’s no one else in there. Very disappointing as Jake’s used to be the standard for after pub grub and very welcoming. Won’t be back
