The Dock in Plymouth

A great luncheon out with our Godson and his wife. The weather allowed us to be seated in the conservatory overlooking the marina. The menu was varied and everyone liked something. We all had three courses, absolutely delicious. All meals well presented, generous in portion size, and freshly prepared. Our waitress Rosita was patient for us to make our minds up, attentative to our needs, pleasant and friendly and allowed a nice time in between courses. This venue was clean and tidy, condiments full on each table, superb drinks and we will indeed be dining there again.

Really nice place, light and airy. Staff seemed friendly and nice. Good location and free parking is a plus! The food was really good, full English breakfast 10/10. The scrambled egg on sourdough was maybe a little overdone, quite omelette like but really nice nonetheless. Would visit again. Average prices.

Great friendly service, good varied menu and reasonable prices. Food was very good and tasty quality and our cocktails were delicious. Lovely views from the restaurant.

Rotary club,party of 26 for dinner. Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff that managed all our requirements, including some last minute cancellations. Food arrived hot and at the same time. Made the process of individuals paying separately smooth and efficient.

The owners and staff are absolutely lovely they can't do enough for you. They do the best Sunday roast I highly recommend the roast chicken it's delicious. All the food we have eaten there is fantastic never had a bad meal. Such a lovely view too. Highly recommend booking up

Lovely friendly service, wholesome meal. Clean and pretty outlook of harbour. Had the homemade pie which was stuffed full with chicken and bacon. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area

Went yesterday with a friend. We go here quite often & are always pleased. I had the salmon but didn’t fancy the rice. I asked for pots & veg & it wasn’t a problem for them to do. I had a lovely parsley sauce with it. We had cocktails to & they are the best! Lovely setting & friendly welcoming staff.

As soon as Covid permitted we came here for a birthday breakfastThere were eight of us and we were treated so well by the excellent staff and the food was of the same high standard Nice to see they are back open always enjoy the view and the whole experience

Went for breakfast and had 2 full English. However sitting at a table with the kitchen as the view is not recommended. The chef dishing the food up used her hands instead of the tongs that were on the side, then leaving the food on the side she kept reheating it before dishing it up. The same chef then uses a clearly dirty tea towel to brush the crumbs of the top heat plate which went onto the food below which she had just served up. Not once did she was her hands even when she helped herself to some food putting her hands in her mouth then served people breakfast placing her hands all over their bacon and mushrooms. Took a long time for staff to come over to take our order which gave me the time to watch the chef in her glory. The only good thing is she caught me watching her and decided to use the tongs then after I had my breakfast she stopped using them again. After we left my boyfriend started to feel ill and soon started to be sick the only thing he had was the food from the Dock and was fine before. I felt sick but unsure if that was the food or the thought of the chef using her dirty hands to dish up. Won’t be going back again!!

Friendly establishment, great service but evening restaurant food average. That said Good place for a decent breakfast. Amazing views over the marina. With a decent menu thus place could be the place to go!

We went to The Dock last night for a family meal and as always it was absolutely fabulous, the food,the staff,the atmosphere and cleanliness is always A1Nothing is ever too much trouble, I have a very fussy grandson who only eats plain pasta with butter when we go out and they always make it especially for himIt is excellent value for money .....Keep up the great work guys

First of all can I start by saying I’d give 0 if I could...Anyway!We visited the restaurant as part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. (Were in a work bubble hence dining together).We have taken advantage of the offer in many other establishments throughout the month with no problems but my god was this place a shambles.The place wasn’t terribly busy which was great and made us feel safe.It didn’t take too long for our mains to arrive... which is strange because the medium rare steak was cremated to an inch of its life. So that was sent back, we also received one dish completely wrong and we had actually finished our dishes by the time my friends come back correct.It took a while for them to clear plates and discuss dessert which was fine at the time. When our desserts did come the Eton Mess was in fact a melted mess. No meringue in sight.They then took our plates and desserted us (Pardon the pun).We were not asked if we wanted any more drinks etc. The place was still pretty empty at this time they didn’t seem rushed.After about 40mins we tried to get the bill. Add on another 20mins or so for it to arrive and the waitor is followed by a waitress and I quote‘You’ve not driven have you?!’‘Yes... why...’‘Well it’s parking for 3 hours only otherwise it’s £100 fine.’We check the watch and conveniently this was just after 3hours had passed!!It went back and forth, about how they should warn us etc. Then the male waitor said don’t worry we will sort it.He took our numbers and regs. Happy days.Or not...We both were faced with £100 fines and was told to appeal it by the manager Greg. This was rejected, even though he told us to quote his name as he used to deal with Britannia directly. Greg did offer a £20 voucher for food but we didnt want to return. Greg then got nasty. He said his waitor never said he would sort it and I was lying. They refused to pay our £200 fine and told us that it’s sign posted everywhere.He asked me why don’t I read signs when I park. I said I did but I couldn’t see the small print my vision isn’t the best (but obviously ok for driving!) he said well that’s how they get you isn’t it...SO DO YOU NOT THINK GREG THAT IT IS COMMON DECENCY TO WARN YOUR CUSTOMERS?!If you know how difficult the company are to deal with would you not make us aware BEFORE 3 hrs lapse?And perhaps don’t make false promises saying you will sort it then not? It’s just poor customer service and an absolute joke of an establishment.I would encourage all to avoid.

We ate here with my son while visiting him at Raleigh. Fairly decent sized portions, but sadly our main courses were nothing to write home about and pretty average. I had the ribs, which were slow cooked, fairly fatty and a little bit anaemic looking to be honest - perhaps could have done with browning them off first. on the upside, our desserts were fantastic. I had the Chocolate Fondu - there was enough fruit/Marshmallows to dip for 3 people at least and plenty of dipping chocolate. My son had a cheese board and again - very generous portions and well presented, with a variety of cheeses and plenty of crackers. Service was very good and our Waitress was lovely and friendly and very efficient, even though it was apparently only her first day. I would return, but would skip the ribs next time.

So today was the first time I have been. I put a post on Facebook asking my friends where the best place for breakfast was and The Dock was in almost everyone’s comments. Breakfast pancakes were delicious. We arrived and the guy showing us to our table made sure we had parked in the correct place, had our masks on and made sure we sanitised our hands. We were shown to our table. We didn’t have to wait long for our drinks or food. I have only given 4* because I did feel a bit rushed. As soon as we had finished eating, our table was cleared and we were asked if we wanted anything else. We said ‘not at the moment, thanks’. 5 mins later we were asked the same and the waitress got the same reply and you could tell she kept looking at us. 5 mins after that, we had our bill on our table, which we hadn’t asked for. From the moment we sat down, to the moment we got our bill it would of roughly been 45 minutes. We did feel like we were being kicked out.Albeit, we both enjoyed our breakfast and we will not only be returning ourselves, but we would recommend to others.

Food is ok, but the staff are getting to close for my liking the one metre rule with mask on are there for a reason. The getting to close thing made me not want to return.

A great menu catering for veggie and non veggie eaters, and delicious coffee. The service was top rate and an amazing view of marina and the sea.

I came here very early in the morning for breakfast on my birthday with my boyfriend. I was running late so opened my cards there which was lovely. I had the eggs benedict which was nice. But I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely service that morning (13/10/20), everyone was so lovely and thank you for my coffee too. It was a really great start to the day and my birthday so thank you. Really recommend coming here for breakfast! Service and food were both lovely. X

Estábamos en Plymouth para visitar a nuestra hija, que acaba de empezar la universidad allí. Habíamos reservado este restaurante para el desayuno ya que tenía buenas críticas, teníamos sentimientos encontrados sobre el lugar.Pros: 1. Bonitas vistas y ubicación 2. Personal muy amable 3. La cesta de desayuno danés era muy fresca y deliciosa.Contras: 1. La comida se retrasó porque nuestro ticket de pedido se perdió y tuvimos que perseguir donde estaba 2. Los panqueques no estaban bien (el gerente eliminó esto de nuestra factura sin que nosotros lo solicitáramos)

Very rude staff, worst customer service I’ve received! Myself and my boyfriend ordered the full English and I asked for no beans, the waitress just put them in front of us without asking who’s was who’s or to enjoy our meal. also she didn’t ask if there was any sauces that we needed and no checks on us throughout the meal . If the customer service was bad the food it’s self was even worse. Everything was cold, the sausages tasted cheap and the eggs were underdone. The only thing to make this experience any worse would be if I get a car parking ticket! Will never been returning

The food was first class but the whole suprise birthday party was spoiled after us all getting £60 parking fines amounting to £180 from Brittania parking on top of the meal bill of £218, won’t be going back again I’m afraid especially when I appealed the fines and was told to just pay it or it will increase to £100 per vehicle, even Dick Turpin wore a mask!!!

Had two dinners here while staying nearby, both times left satisfied. Big portions, never ordered a starter and still struggled to eat the main. Food tasted great, staff were very attentive. Also great views through floor to ceiling windows.

Went during government eat out scheme. Unlike many they had a full menu. Staff were faultless, friendly with great service. Food was absolutely fine and plenty of it (could not finish the ribs) Have been before and standards have not dropped.

Went this morning for breakfast with friends lovely meal lovely view .Main reason we chose the dock was american express ,shop small discount ,However we were not be able to pay by amex even though it is advertised on the shop small directory ,so slightly disappointed you need to sort this out as it's mus advertising ,, that said great breakfast was had by all

My wife and daughter went for Sunday lunch. We had a great table on the balcony with a great view. My daughter and I shared the seafood platter and my wife had the pate. For the mains my wife had the gnocchi, my daughter the seafood linguine and I had a burger which was great apart from a burnt bun. The staff were great we felt safe at all times.

Three visits in the last month. Every time the food is good and the view is lovely but the staff are always a bit rude.I appreciate they're busy but slamming my coffee down on the table or dealing with customer enquiries in an abrupt, unwelcoming manner just makes me not want to go back again.Each to their own, I'm sure some people really like it here, but I've had enough of grumpy, rude staff.

Came as a big group, many of us all happy with the food but a few had the mash which was definitely a strange texture, I even tried myself as I thought they were being stupid and found it to be almost gooey and lumpy with a strange taste. The table was incredibly sticky-the napkins got stuck to the table, our arms kept getting stuck like we were getting a wax and we all felt so uncomfortable touching the table and putting our cutlery anywhere near it. To be fair on arrival we were told this was due to the excessive amount of hand sanitizer being used by customers at the moment but this shouldn’t be the case as most sanitizers dry into your hands fairly quickly and the table should wipe clean. The staff were helpful and food was pretty quick despite being busy.

The table was incredibly sticky, the food took ages to come out, my gammon steak was more of a fatty, thick piece of ham more than a gammon. Staff were friendly but they definitely need to clean the tables better the serviettes were stuck to the table!!!

We went here for breakkie. I had veggie breakfast and other half had full breakfast. Food was ok, service ok, decent atmosphere, would definitely return.

Popped in for a English breakfast and I wasn't disappointed, it was cooked to perfection, such a lovely location and even the evening meals are delicious, well worth a visit

We visited the Dock on Wednesday & we were so impressed I brought my husband & son back on Friday. The views are great. The service attentive. Plus one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in Plymouth (& we’ve had a lot). The full English was plentiful, non greasy & absolutely yummy. We are looking forward to our next visit. I saw a previous comment about no social distancing which is complete rubbish, we felt totally safe both times & there was plenty of room between tables.

Lovely setting with beautiful views across the marina. Phoned prior to arriving to see if they were able to accommodate a table of 4, they said they would but as they were busy we would have to leave by 930am as the table was booked, when we arrived we felt very welcome and not rushed at all. We had the breakfast which was very tasty and plentiful, the children had pancakes again plentiful and very enjoyable. Would definitely return as the service and food was excellent.

Had a champagne breakfast was delicious service was amazing. The view is stunning. Dog very welcome and was given a sausage. Highly recommend

A welcome cool and refreshing atmosphere compared to the stifelling temperatures of late. The food was delicious, any lover of seafood would be in for a treat here. Super scallops, marvellous muscles and succulent ribs. Stunning views, courteous and friendly staff, and a genuinely delightful experience overall.

Wonderful food and great service at The Dock last night. They found a last minute table for my son and I and despite the restaurant being packed full, the service was attentive and efficient.My son had parsnip soup which was lovely and I had fish cakes to start which were actually full of fish! My son then had the spare ribs which were so big even he couldn't finish them. They tasted delicious. I had the halloumi and feta salad which was equally tasty. On top of all that the bill was more than acceptable due to EOTHO. A great evening. Well done guys!!

Great setting with superb views over marina - we thought the food was of very good standard - and the place was busy !!! Loved the semi theatre style kitchen as we could peep in - and the team were working extremely hard in severe heat. Admirable !!

Booked a table during the government 50% off deal. Service was great and the food really lovely (great fish and chips). The desserts were amazing, my husband had the Eton Mess and I had brownie and ice cream, both home made and very large portion. Will be booking again before the 50% offer finishes!

We are from out of town and go to the Dock every time we visit without fail. It is a firm family favourite of ours. A beautiful location overlooking the marina, great child friendly menu and excellent service. Would highly recommend.

This is place is a real gem and has stunning views of the harbour and has both inside and outside seating. We have been for breakfast and dinner both times the food was to a very good standard and very tasty! I was very impressed how clean everything was and very modern looking. Really lovely staff nothing is ever to much trouble. Highly recommend this fab place

called up to see table availability and was told they had one if we could get there quick. "brilliant" i thought as this based on previous visits was one of my favourite restaurants in the southwest for breakfast. however alarm bells should have rang when the phone was put down before i could give a name or anything.we arrived at The Dock and was quickly seated, track and trace done promptly as it should be and our server took our order , two coffes, an eggs benedict and a dock breakfast which i was really looking forward to. our coffes came and as usual its pretty good coffee. thats where it went downhill though. our breakfast turned up and to say it was a disappointment is an understatement. the eggs were an anaemic yellow, the sausages were dificult to slice and tasted very similar to a westaway sausage or similar cheap budget affair and certainly not the high quality that ive had before. The mushrooms had a funny texture to them as if they had a plastic coating on and both breakfasts arrived with zero condiments, no salt, no pepper..nothing and when i asked for brown sauce...thats brown, a word thats sounds absolutely nothing like Red sauce. after a good time of trying to get someones attention i had to go up and ask someone for the correct request. at no time during our visit did anyone ask if wanted more drinks, nobody asking how the food was and when we came to pay there was still no 'how was everything' youd expect from other establishmants, in fact we felt like it was more of a case of pay us and get out. previously i have recommended this place to people who asked for a good place to eat without hesitation, now? id point them to a place that actually cares about the experience of the customer. also just to clarify, i would have informed a member of staff there and then but the customer service was terrible and i dont think any feedback would have been taken on board and acted upon.in summary...this place used to be good, now its just another eatery!!!

Went there for breakfast and had a table pre-booked, we asked if we could sit outside which was fine, when we was sitting we noticed our table was right in the sun and had no shade, so we seen other tables empty so decided to move to one in the shade. Once we moved a female waiter came and approached us quite rudely saying we should have asked to move tables so we apologised. She then went on to say that we will have to move right away as that table was booked for a family of 4, we obliged and moved back to the table in the peak sun. Low and behold 2 people turn up and sit in the table where we were sat. So she was obviously lying. We found the service poor. But hats off to the chef in the background as the food was amazing.

Used the restaurant many times. Food was good... breakfast very good. Good views. Nice place to start the day. However, recently tried to book a tale to be told they were fully booked. Can only say that the way i was handled on the phone was the worst ever!

Managed to get a crossing on a ferry to France and managed to get a dinner reservation here prior to that, they had just been re-open a week following Covid restrictions for indoor dining.We had the best seat in the house and were lucky enough to watch our ferry coming into port while eating delicious carbonara and pie and drinking a very pleasant wine.Lovely food, reasonably priced and good service, but if you are visiting around ferry boarding times I would recommend you book.

I have used the Dock for 2 - 3 , always enjoyed it, but not this time. Tables were almost the same as a visit earlier this year before this pandemic. No signage up no social distancing toilets were not cleaned regularly & looked like 4 managers 2 waiters.Food & coffee were good. The main thing was trying to leave their were people queuing up the stairs the only exit & nobody from the dock sorting this out. To leave you get very close to other customers which is not good in this current climate & will not going back whilst this pandemic is current & have already advised friends & colleagues of my visit & a friend said on her friends had the same experience as me. Shame I have always liked going to the dock.

First of all I just want to say how lovely this place is , beautiful setting esp on the balcony on a Sunday morning ...... however , we entered the dock and we were greeted by a very agitated gentleman on front, who seconds into our visit barked at a waitress ‘ I need that table done now’ ... not the best first impression I have to admit. I work in customer service and I certainly wouldn’t want someone front of house ordering waitresses in a very abrupt and rude manner . This surely could have been done in a more polite way in front of paying customers. This waitress was very polite on serving us and I simply don’t believe this is a way to treat the young girl. Food wise, very large portions , however our eggs were underdone , but tbh the meal was delicious apart from this. This is a wonderful place to go , tables outside are quite close together tho and u do have to squeeze past people at the balcony door .

Throughout the past few months The Dock have provided us with a great customer service and delicious food whilst following the Government rules through a difficult period.Fantastic food with the takeaway service and now with their new well spaced environment. They have given clear communication verbally and on their social media.Excellent atmosphere making us feel safe and very welcomed. Thank you very much to all at the Dock ! Highly recommended.

The restaurant is beautiful. The view was stunning especially on a sunny day. The food was delicious. There were big portions and was all cooked fresh to order. I would visit here again.

Amazing first meal out following lock down; visiting this place for a first time, I was certainly not disappointed. Very tasty food and some of the largest Muscles I’ve ever seen. Staff were helpful and really considerate of the social distancing. Will definitely be visiting again!

Visited Plymouth at the weekend and recommended The Dock for an evening meal with a friend on Saturday. Glad to see it busy. We only waited a few minutes from our booked time while the table was cleared and cleaned.Starters - most fabulous, plump and generous portion of mussels; my friend perfectly cooked scallops.Mains - Thai fish cakes, only one left so accepted chef made fish fingers (eat your heart out Capn Birdseye, this was how fish fingers should be) and as a special favour extra fries. My friend settled for a 9oz rump steak. (Eyes larger than tums - friend's dog benefitted from some steak and a bit of fish finger and didn't manage the extra fries!)All washed down with G & T - Plymouth Gin of course. Go & enjoy, I will certainly go next time I'm down that way.Only negative - beware the generous portion sizes!

I love it here. After going for a drink with a friend for the first time this week, i booked to come back for dinner the following night. Staff are exceptional, very attentive and not in an annoying way. Im vegetarian and loved what I had, although i think theres a slight lack of veggie and vegan options, which is the only negative. Lovely atmosphere, great views.

For once it would be nice to go for lunch and not be shown a as menu of predominately burgers. Not everyone likes that type of food. Some classic Mediterranean food would be appreciated, not just one or two items.

We collected a fantastic breakfast today.it was as good as when we were able to sit and eat inside!!also you get 20% discount if u collect.we had blueberry pancakes.and a large dock breakfast .

We were impressed at first with the place and the precaution they take to ensure that all their customers sanitise their hands before they walk in to the restaurant. However the sea food got us sick in varying degrees with me waking up to throw up. It was bad. I also saw the bar tender drop cutlery on the floor and mix it with all the others and throw it in for use by all to eat. I was really surprised with this.

We have been to the dock a few times now and every occasion has been exceptionally good. The food has always been hot fresh and tasty. Excellent service and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a nice lunch here today, warm welcome by the man. My main issue was the cleanliness of our table in the conservatory, it was no less than filthy to be quite honest. Absolutely disgusting full of old grease and food debris. The rattan table needs a serious scrub. Actually put us off eating our meal.

Having arrived early we called in at the Dock for a cup of tea we ended up having a meal as well. The food is great my husband had a steak pie made in house filled with meat not your usual more gravy than meat, he said it was delicious, I had the grilled halloumi sale which was huge and very tasty,and if you are a lover of desserts the Eaton mess is a must the best I have had in a long time. All of that and a view of the harbour as the sun set. Would recommend arriving early for the ferry just to call in at the Dock and for customers there is free parking.A gem.

Nos detuvimos aquí para tomar una copa antes de abordar el ferry, pero como teníamos un poco más de tiempo de lo previsto, también decidimos comer.La comida era increíble, tuve la carbonara y mi esposo tenía el pastel del día (levantado a mano, cordero y menta) y los dos estábamos muy felices.Precios razonables y regados con un vino tinto encantador.Personal amable, buen ambiente y buenas vistas.Nos aseguraremos de volver a entrar la próxima vez que nos dirijamos a Francia.

Very happy with the service and food and the views made the visit even more enjoyable... the breakfast was one of the best for a long time

We went for breakfast and it was very tasty and good value for money. However, the service seemed quite cold from every member of staff - it was very busy and there almost seemed to be an attitude of "we're getting loads of people in anyway so we don't need to try with customer service".

The Dock is more easy going and relaxed than we remembered it from its early years. This week we had a table in the corner of the ‘conservatory’ which is the terrace but very effectively enclosed and powerfully heated in colder months. The menu has hearty generous options, the staff are assured and hospitable. Reasonably priced.

We have visited the Dock on many occasions, breakfast, lunch and evening meals and have never been disappointed. Good food friendly staff and efficient service has made this venue a regular. The views over the marina and out to sea add to the experience as does the option to eat out on the balcony in the summer months. Hassle free parking for several hours is another bonus.

We just had to re-visit this amazing restaurant. The food is superb and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Welcomed with a smile and showed to our seats in the conservatory. Every course was outstanding. Would definitely recommend and have on numerous occasions.

We reserve this place for breakfast on special occasions. Never let us down. Vegetarian breakfast is excellent .

A birthday treat - the food was very tasty - good quality ingredients. My eldest daughter and I had the full English breakfast. My youngest daughter had the gluten-free pancakes with maple sauce and bacon.

A gift voucher gave us the chance to visit this Restaurant and we decided to try the Breakfast there. Wow, it was lovely and were surprised at the great choice on the menu.

Whatever the occasion, whatever the Meal, The Dock is the perfect venue. Great Service, Great Location, Great Food and all at a reasonable cost. We paid a return visit whilst in Plymouth to enjoy the Wife’s Birthday Breakfast. Good Choices on the Breakfast Menu and we enjoyed a Ham & Cheese Omelette plus Eggs Benedict for the Birthday Girl. Coffee & Tea were drinks choices and as always all very fresh and very tasty........Poly Nostimo.

Visited the Dock on the evening of the 10th. The food that was cooked and presented to the 4 of us was excellent. We have never had a sub standard meal over the many times we have frequented this establishment. The food and drinks are reasonably priced considering it is in a prime position overlooking the water. I think in a few places some repairs need to be undertaken namely an area of the ceiling.

I’ve visited this place every time I come Plymouth and I’ve had a pleasant experience and the food was lovely. However, today we arrived just before end of breakfast menu serving so I asked at arrival if they are still serving breakfast and they said yes if we order straight away but we where treated with a very bad attitude and felt like we were a burden throughout the visit and were given a lecture by the waiter of how they were packing up breakfast and getting ready for lunch and that we should let them know next time if we were planning to come late .. then kept asking us to order our drinks so I had repeat few times that we would like the drinks mid meal.. and even when picked a table the waiter commented on our choice of table and the egg royal ordered wasn’t great :s in general I was disappointed with the attitude towards us and the costumer service, we are indeed paying for the meal and not receiving it for free and if it was too late for breakfast I’d rather them say actually sorry we stopped serving breakfast and that would have been absolutely fine rather than treat us like that.

Greeted as soon as walked with friendly smile. And shown to Table.Great views all around if you like the sea. Parking is free for 3 hours.Lovely menu and food presented well.We will be back soon only wish we knew it was here before.There is a lift.And the toilet is disabled friendly.

The restaurant was busy as it was just before Christmas and there was a large group of women partying. We were a family group having a meal prior to some members leaving on the boat for France. The food was good but the service was slower than we expected and didn’t seem to be in line with table occupation - group arriving after us were served before us. This would not have been a problem except for the time constraint of the ferry booking times.

This place is a diamond in the rough although a lot of money is being spent in the area to get it regenerated from what it had become. Beautiful views over the bay out to sea and when the food arrived it looked beautiful too. We had a breakfast meeting here and all choose cooked breakfasts of different types and to say it was delicious is a understatement. Presented brilliantly in a clean enjoyable environment we all vowed to come back again shortly. Well done. Brilliant

Food lovely, staff very rude. Barman with a serious attitude problem made us feel very unwelcome. Was completely unnecessary on his part and was obviously just having a bad day!

WOW WOW !! What a pleasure, experience we had today, excellent food very enjoyable, staff very helpful nothing too much trouble considering restaurant was full after all its Christmas they where still attentive , what a pleasure , would definitely recommend

Have been many times over the last four years before taking the ferry back to France but last night was just awful.

Eaten here so many times over the years,food and service is ALWAYS of a high standard, and the atmosphere and ambience likewise. Whether it be for a breakfast meeting,lunch date or a relaxed evening meal,this place suits all requirements.

Wet blustery mid December Sunday evening. Only three other tables occupied. Outside a modest flow of ferry traffic on and off. Less uplifting feel to the restaurant when so empty and without the daytime views but our meal was OK. My hearty little chicken and mushroom pie was not bad although quite why it had to be tagged ‘home made’ seemed a bit excessive from a restaurant kitchen.

Really quick and efficient service considering there were about 30of us. As a vegetarian I had the nut roast with veg. But while my colleagues had gravy to go with their turkey and veg, I had a tiny amount of tomato sauce. Very disappointed. Who wants dry roast potatoes? How hard is it, really, to make a veggie gravy? To be fair, it's not the first time this has happened to me, but it doesn't make it any better. A apart from that, fairly good food and very good service.

As a frequent visitor of the Dock all year round we can see in recent months they have really upped their game. The staff have always been super friendly and professional but the food has been hit and miss in the past but I believe that has now changed. We have been there four times in the last two months with important business guests and the food has been some of the best we have eaten in Plymouth for a long time. The current menu with Roast Turkey breast is amazing. I would truly recommend The Dock

What an absolutely amazing time. Went with two friends for lunch. It was the first time they had visited, and it was somewhere I had recommended to them having been to The Dock before.

We went here for breakfast instead of opting for a bog-standard hotel breakfast and we are so glad we did. It is on the dock with the best tables right by floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water. We received a friendly welcome and although we hadn't booked a table we were quickly seated. The breakfast menu was excellent and we were really spoilt for choice. My husband had the Full English which he deemed excellent and I had the avocado toast with poached eggs which was very good but would have preferred the toast a bit 'toastier' to complement the softer elements of the dish. The coffee was really good, but endless coffee would have been even better. Sometimes one cup just isn't enough.

Wish there was a rating between the two... This place was good but not very good and was above average for parts.

Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning in November. Place was packed and buzzing, clearly the place to breakfast in Plymouth. Hubby had full English, I had Eggs Royale, both served quickly, efficiently and was absolutely delicious. Definitely not a greasy spoon establishment.

Went for breakfast with family lovely view outside of the dock toilets clean and really friendly staff
