Wonderful food and friendly service. We really enjoyed our meal with friends. The chips and roast potatoes were particularly good. Everyone praised the food. Highly recommended.

First visit to the pub and it won't be the last. Roasts were really good and plenty on the plate. Nice selection of beers. Staff were excellent especially Rebecca and Chloe.

We have not been for a few years to eat, this will now certainly change, and we were pleased to see that the meals were still of a very good standard . The atmosphere was fantastic too if you like a busy Saturday evening, we loved it. Plentiful menu choice. Good food, good beer, happy vibes, what more does one need. Keep up the good work! 😀

Small tucked away pub/restaurant. Don't be misled by the deminutive exterior it has a deceptively large interior. Strongly recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment. Really nice olde worlde village pud atmosphere. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled 1st class. Real homemade cut chips fresh side salads and generous portions. Good selection of on tap ciders beers and ales.

Went for a meal here on 29th may with my brother and sister in law.been there a few times and always enjoyed the belly pork it's lovely however on this night it's wasn't on the black board as all there menus are on there . My wife said ask them as they may still have it.so asked the lady behind the bar 'who I believe is land lords daughter ' if they had any her reply was well do you see it on the board.if it's not on there we haven't got it . Very rude person if it wasn't for the fact that the others wanted to stay there would have walked out

We booked a table for 6 on Saturday evening during pirate weekend. All the food was amazing and portions were surprisingly large. All home made and very tasty very reasonably priced. Definitely visiting again next time we are in Plymouth,

We’ve been coming to Clovelly Bay Inn for years now and it never fails to deliver. Great food, friendly and efficient service with a great atmosphere.

Popped in for a drink while covering the South West Coast path. Very busy Sunday lunchtime, all tables already reserved. Must be doing something right 👍 would love to come back and try the menu.

I recommend the belly pork bites for a starter! Great service, a decent pint and good food. What more could you ask for?! Book in advance and be prepared to walk 5 minutes from the local car park - there is very little space to park on the road.

Family meal 23rd January, always a great relaxing atmosphere, great staff who cater for your every needs, when you are ready. The food was amazing, large portions, hot and with a table of six each of us would say "wow" to each others food. THE GARLIC MUSHROOMS IS AMAZING. Love it. See you again soon.

Always loved it here and never been disappointed but, it has definitely lost the wow factor. Prices are up significantly and portion sizes are down. My 14 yr old was still hungry after paying £17 for his meal. The whole menu is on the wall so you have to get up and walk over to look. Wouldn’t want to be one’s eating a meal underneath it. Yes the food still is very tasty but I won’t be rushing back.

We were really looking forward to eating here as we had heard such good things. Warm enough welcome.Typical oldie worldie pub with some pretty lights. The main menu is on the wall (not on the tables) - so you have to go over to where the menu is (which is over a set table for six) and pick what you would like. I wouldn’t want to be sat at this table with everyone wandering over to check the menu out whilst you trying to eat. Food was ok and not bad value. Would probably not return unless we had to (someone else’s choice to eat there).

We have relative’s that live in the area and they booked us all a meal here . The pub and staff are absolutely amazing and words cant describe how yummy the food is , definitely recommend and we will definitely return .

I had the belly pork and it was delicious. A lovely atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Had to wait some time for food as they were busy but totally worth the wait.

They serve a great Sunday lunch here and if you are lucky, the landlord will sing to you whilst playing his guitar.

My son-in-law booked a 18th birthday (my oldest grandson) dinner for 10 people at this fabulous place. The food was fantastic, the staff where all very friendly and professionally nothing was to much trouble. The food all came out together piping hot and very tasty portions sizes great idefinitely value for money, loads off food choices including the children's menu would recommend this venue to all my friends and family

Expected alot from this place, due to reviews but sadly did not live up to it. Far too much choice on menu, to give the detailed qualiry, definitely quantity rather than quality. The so called specials don't change. The beef stroganoff was a cut up steak, doused in cream with mustard added at the end, it wasn't infused into the sauce, expected something 'special' for £23. .... Nice pleasant staff but certainly not a gastronomic experience sadly

Introduced to this pub by a friend we went to visit.nice pint of hobgoblin and a lovely mushroom stroganoff. Friendly and attentive staff. Will have to visit again in the future.

What can you say about this secret hidden gem. Food was amazing, and as for the chips, wowser. I can't recommend the place highly enough. Definitely one of the best pubs with family we have eaten at.

lunch with my family today at clovelly bar inn was superb !!! I had the Greek lamb in a pitta which was amazing. There chips are proper crispy and cooked to perfection. My daughter was super happy that on the kids menu they had a fish fingers sandwich with chips. Portion size was very generous. Can’t wait to go back to try out the rest of the menu. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend this pub to anyone. Thanks very much

Our second visit after a SW coast path walk from Bovisand Beach. The pub is very welcoming and the food is real home cooking. It is real value for money and a nice cosy atmosphere. Great gluten free/coeliac options. Even my coffee came with a gf treat instead of the usual biscuit. Place mats, comfy chair and no Farrow and Ball in sight! The desserts are highly recommended.

Tucked away in Turnchapel water front this is one of Plymouths jewels not to be missed. A fantastic menu supported with a great crew it's hard to ever be disappointed.

This is a lovely pub for a family meal we had the best food and couldn't have asked for a nicer kids meal with all freshly prepared food! A little bit of a hidden gem, this. Steak and Stilton pie was a great meal, really good size portion and very very tasty indeed. Will definitely come back and have it again. Pub is sweet, small and traditional. Food excellent (based on limited experience), beer selection safe and uninspiring.

Only been in Plymouth three years and had not used this inn before. Booked for Saturday evening on the 23rd April. I can only say the food was excellent with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be going again.

Yet another superb meal. Excellent service in a friendly atmosphere. I can't believe I only discovered the gastronomic delights back in January of this year, considering it is on my brothers doorstep and only a 6 mile drive for us. First visit we had a carvery and I don't know how they do it. Terrific selection of meats and served with a good selection of freshly cooked vegetables. Last night we had the Pork Belly and Jalfrezi Curry - both excellent. Booked again for April. Prices I would mention, in todays every increasing expenditure, are very reasonable. Value for money.

Apart from parking being a little awkward (just walk from nearby - it’s worth it), the Clovelly is fabulous for food. Inside it’s an old tired decor that hasn’t changed in a long time but reliable and clean. The service is great and the food is always stunning. Huge portions and good quality too.
