Arrived to find dogs climbing all over the sofas, people hand feeding dogs at the table. Allowing dogs to lick lasagna bowls at the table. Disgusting

We went to The Elburton Inn for a wake after leaving the nearby Park Cremetorium. We had the restaurant all to ourselves, as agreed when paying the deposit. It was modern, clean, tidy, with heavy tables which were put together to form one long table so the 12 of us all sat together.It was a conservatory type of room with views across the dual carriageway, which was better than it sounds. The buffet was brought out shortly after we were seated, having got our drinks from the nearby bar. Drinks were also brought to the table by a helpful young lady server. The buffet was very good ( I chose the silver buffet ) I would recommend this establishment for a wake or any function. Being a resident of Plymstock, I might walk up there for a pint and lunch one day soon.

Went to watch a live band glass curtain they were excellent .played some great music.

Very impressed with the service, food & atmosphere 🥰. Food was quick after ordering, plates & food were hot. Meat, potatoes & Yorkshire puddings were served on the plate,veg & gravy was bought out separately for all to share, meat was cooked to perfection & the gravy excellent 👍🏻 (even asked for more), also ordered cauliflower cheese as an extra. We also ordered the steak - ale pie with chips & peas, was delicious, filled to the brim & pastry was light & fluffy, can't go wrong with that if you don't fancy the roast ! ☺️. The menu was easy to read, a very selective menu. The bar staff & waitresses very friendly. Will most definitely be going again.

Went for a cheeky midweek treat and tried an unknown pub to us and we were pleasantly surprised. Greated by locals and servers alike and made to feel very welcome the choice of beverage and food was great and had two of our favourite meals, which were fabulous in terms of taste and portion. Excellent value for money and everyone was very pup friendly which was a great bonus. We are looking forward to returning and trying band night on a Saturday evening, quizz night on a Monday and a roast on a Sunday, but not all in the same week 😁

Disappointed about the apparent lack of hygiene especially as many of the staff were handling crates, bottles, money etc and I did not see any staff member wash their hands after several hours of being there

The BEST traditional Sunday Roast I have (ever) had. So tasty, beautifully presented. Can't fault it. Price was surprisingly reasonable. We hope to make it a regular event. Thank you to all the staff.

Came here for set Sunday roast. For £16.95 large wasn't that appealing. Couldn't beleive we had tiny dish of vegetables between us! Veggies were hard. Cauliflower cheese extra £2.00 looked lovely but was absolutely tasteless. Turkey was soft but yet again tasteless. So we had dessert for £6.50 fudge cake was lovely soft texture. More sauce than cake. Overall I rate this 5/10 & we not be returning.

We visit here whenever we're in Plymouth, usually on holiday with our touring caravan. The food is always good, the service is great (the staff are all very pleasant, helpful and efficient), and there's usually a good crowd in. Sunday lunch is particularly good, there's a choice of meal size and meat. We went for the regular size which is plenty, doubt we would have been able to eat any larger! Thanks, it was lovely!

My Best mate and I had another wonderful meal there tonight. All food was tasty, arrived hot and decent portions. The honeycombe cheese cake, omg the lightest fluffiest cheese cake ever, delicious. Stacey our waitress was welcoming and friendly and looked after us well. Checked we were happy then left us alone until each course was finished. No rushing us and not asking if everything was ok every 5 minutes. Perfect. Great price too. Would definitely recommend and will keep returning. Well done and thank you.x Debbie and Angela x

There’s not many decent pubs like this around nowadays. Good menu with lots of choices at reasonable prices. We’ve eaten here many times but this was the first time we had the Sunday roast and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely and lots of it. We’ve had roasts elsewhere that are more expensive and not a patch on this one. Good lively pub that has a nice feel and very friendly staff. The best pub in the area by far.

It was steak night. I had rump steak which came with amazing chips, onion rings,peas, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms. I have started to eat regularly at the Elburton and have been very happy with all the meals I've had. My friend and I play a few games of cards and feel very comfortable doing so. It's a laid back feel in the pub, and a fab restaurant round the corner away from the bar.

Great Sunday lunch, fresh and not over cooked. Had a small roast, perfect amount good quality food. Have seen a couple of reviews that were less favorable, but our experience was the total opposite Would recommend Sunday lunch here.

Lasagne was dry, roast was extremely salty , beef tough , it’s not the cheapest places to eat .. tried a few dishes and disappointed everytime … never again

Good value for money, 3 course Mothers Day meal, which overall was very good. The roast rib of beef was especially tasty. Although there were a couple of changes to the menu which we were not informed about. This was disappointing as we had pre-ordered. For example the Lemon Cheesecake came out as a Lemon Meringue Pie. The waitresses were all very helpful and polite. C onsidering they had started at 10 am in the morning and we sat down to eat at the third sitting at 6.15pm they all worked very hard. Thank you.

Took advantage of the Thursday Steak Night. Brilliant value at 2 meals for £22! Rump steak with all accompaniments - chips, onion rings, tomatos, peas and mushrooms. Steaks were perfectly cooked and service was friendly and adequate. Reasonably priced bottle of wine and good desserts. Would recommend!

Came here for a Monday lunch. We were shown to a table in the conservatory by a friendly, attentive bartender/waitress. Food was average pub grub. The garlic mushrooms was swamped in a cupful of cream sauce. I think this should have been highlighted in the menu. What really let the place down was how tired the decoration was and how dusty the areas by the radiator was. The lower windows in the conservatory has once been treated with a privacy frosting, however a lot has peeled off and now it looks like a complete mess. Other paintwork was poorly applied. Overall this was an underwhelming experience.

The roast dinner was the best I have ever tasted. We will definitely be back!

Great night and although very busy quick and hot food. Good portions would recommend the fajita sizzle or the lasagne and chips. Friendly helpful staff reasonable prices.

Nice pub , really friendly bar staff made you feel very welcome and served a good pint of Guinness , would come back again and try the food which looked good to !

Cosy ambience. There is a log fire. A very busy pub, popular with the locals. The Sunday roast was truly superb. I had a slice of beef, turkey and pork with a huge Yorkshire pudding and a huge helping of vegetables, including carrots, broccoli, suede, beetroot, long beans and roast potatoes for GBP 13.95.

Was really good not that long ago but standards have started to slip. Food quality is not as good. But staff are friendly and is is still good for a pint.

It was my mum's 80th Birthday. 18 of us came up for roast dinners. We had beef/turkey/pork and a nut roast. All meals were lovely - couldn't fault anything. Staff were brilliant. A big thank you to Jem who organised everything.

The pub was fully booked on a Sunday so service was slightly slow, but the food was worth the slight wait. There was a choice of beef, turkey or pork roast meat with a Yorkshire pudding, potatoes and vegetables on the side. The meats were nicely cooked, reasonable portions- you could have a single meat or a combination. The gravy was generous. Overall would recommend.

We had the 3 course Xmas menu. The potatoes where out of the world and love how beautiful the plate looked! Had prawn cocktail to start, Turkey for main and sticky toffee for dessert! Safe to say we all were stuffed All the staff were amazing and nothing was too much for them!

I absolutely love spending time at the Elburton Inn, the food is delicious and the staff are always so welcoming and friendly. Teresa is doing a stand out job.

Back again!! We do live in Cornwall but we we down again visiting our daughters and couldn't not re-visit! Me and my husband had the most gorgeous turkey stuffing and cranberry baguette, such lovely and attentive staff too! Definitely give it a go, we'll always be back

What a pub, we stopped in for a meal, don't live locally as we are from Cornwall but such a shame this pub isn't on our doorstep. My dad is 81 and suffering a lot with loneliness and the staff made his day, young girl called jem had a lovely chat with him really made his day! Thank you so much

Came for quiz night tonight with the book club, exceptional and friendly service especially from gentleman in the shorts. Lovely blonde girl stopped at nothing to make sure we had a good night, even gave Sheila a book recommendation! Will definitely pop in again

Over-crowded, too noisy, miserable bar staff and couldn’t stay more than an hour. Not my kind of night out.

OK, maybe more of an place to eat in the evening, had coloring book's and crayons for the children which was handy,no pool table anymore.

Roomy pub with a decent selection of beers and great food (I had bacon, liver and onion). A bit tumbleweed-y when we walked in but it livened up later! The friendly barman suggested a tab, and could've stayed there a bit longer in the end.

Enjoyed a really friendly visit with our dogs. Service was excellent considering only one barmaid for the whole pub!! We had a table of 7. Food was nice and obviously freshly cooked. We were visiting the area and will definitely return!!!

Managed to get a table at short notice although it was very busy. A few choices of roast including a vegetarian option and also choices of size. We both went for regular and it was a very generous portion, really good value. There was a really good selection of veg and it was all nice enough, just nothing mind blowing. The Yorkshire pudding was very good. Wouldn’t rush back but would happily return if I was in the area.

We went back to the Elburton. First time since lockdown. We should have gone sooner. A good choice on the menu. Reasonably priced. The food came quickly. The service was pleasant.

Good selection of beers and food very reasonably priced. Clean and tidy although one bench seat needs to be recovered as is ripped and ruins the general look. Definitely worth a visit, friendly service and atmosphere. Car park is probably the only concern as is quite small for the size of the pub.

Staff were lovely. Food ok but felt lasagne had been definitely reheated and fresh cheese put on top as dry. In my opinion very basic cooking, not chef level.

Three in our party had lunch on Tuesday 27th December 2022. Attentive and friendly staff greeted us. We all had different meals and the quality was very good. Price wise was also very acceptable.

Very disappointed. Went there on Burger Night, don't have a burger very often, however when it came it was more than overdone. Staff offered to replace it but eating with other friends would mean eating later than them. This should never have left the kitchen. They waived the cost of my drink but not the same.

Recently attended a fairly small gathering here after a funeral and it proved to be very well organised with a nicely presented buffet. Would certainly recommend it for such functions although I guess larger numbers might prove a bit of a squeeze?

From the moment I walked in, it was very clean and tidy. It was quite busy there with a lot of people there for Sunday lunch but it was very comfortable inside. We both had the mixed meat roast dinner and it was fantastic. The beef was really nicely done. The staff were very attentive and enthusiastic. And they were all really good looking. Even the bloke behind the bar was really handsome. I had a really nice time, definitely coming back here again

Steak night was cracking. £16 for 2 rumps with all the trimmings (fried mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, peas, onion rings, chips) you can't beat that. Also really good quality steaks not chewy or fatty and they were cooked a perfect medium. If your looking for a mid week place to eat look no further. Staff are attentive even when busy and with a large table to look after. Definitely will be back again

Went to the Elburton for some drinks and food on the weekend with my friends. Service was so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble! I had the sizzling chicken fajitas which were amazing. Can’t wait to go again!
