Visited today with my family, could not have been a more enjoyable experience. Attentive, accommodating and friendly staff. Ensured the 4 of us could sit together once another group had finished - making it much easier to keep an eye on our two little boys. Offered an easy alternative of baked beans on toast (though neither of our boys like that - think they're the only kids that don't!), but felt assured could ask for a very slight amendment to the sandwich offering for my eldest (6), we ordered our youngest (4) jam on toast which came with a selection of 4 jams! Exceeded expectations all round, expecting a loaf sized piece of lemon drizzle, when lemon cake was offered, instead it was a three layer lemon cake that was delicious, everything was really reasonably priced and delicious. Would recommend without hesitation and I don't know for sure, but it sounds like they provide some level of takeaway too, if you're looking for picnic bits. Thank you

The food is amazing, service exceptional with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. We had sirloin steaks - cooked as requested, with a mac n cheese two different steak sauces and fries accompanied by a great red wine. Customer ranged from late teens / twenty to couples in there 80s all focused on having an enjoyable experience. From the moment of arriving the staff demonstrated an experience of good dining without being stuffy.

Excellent, an amazing venue. Staff very friendly, an amazing find. Was thinking to myself where are we going. It was was like finding a pot of gold at the end if a rainbow. The cider is one of the best I've tasted , the homecooked food once again is excellent.

What an absolute gem of a cafe! We walked down through the woods with 2 dogs and cans across this beautiful garden and cottage. Couldnât resist a cream tea with fresh scones especially as they had gluten free scones too which were kept carefully separate. The staff were also lovely.

We were drawn to the funky bright colours and quirky decor! What a great place to chill and relax. The staff are super friendly. A good selection of Mexican style food as well as cakes and snacks. Although we didn't sample any, the cocktail list was very tempting. We were only passing through but wished we could have stayed for the Mexican night, which looked like fun! The world needs more places like this!

Went for an impromptu early supper. The staff were great as was the food. Loved the baked figs starter and then the pork belly and beef bourguignonne. Hubby had the Cadbury egg cheesecake! Apparently not too sweet. They were very helpful re my gluten and dairy intolerance. My only downside would be that the ambience in the restaurant area could be improved.

Visited here literally loads of times. Cost of living has gone up , but prices have hiked by 60% compared to last year. Way too expensive for an average cafe. We wonât be going again. Lots of other places to spend money at. What a shame through absolute greed. Iâm not prepared to pay ÂŁ60 or ÂŁ70 on a snack for two adults and two kids.

Just came back from a weekend away with my husband. We arrived Friday afternoon and were greeted by James, who booked us in and showed us our room, we then had some lunch at the pub. Friday evening, we also had dinner at the pub. The food was brilliant and cooked fresh, the locals are lovely, and will have a conversation with you. Breakfast was pre ordered but cooked from fresh, good selcting of cereal, yhoughs and fruit. Bed was lovely, and the room was lovely, no phone service at all ( which was nice). We will definitely be back to the rockford inn
