Geweldige scones en supervriendelijk personeel. Heerlijke plek vlak bij zee. Prijs kwaliteit excellent. Pareltje wat door veel mensen nog niet is ontdekt

What a delightful cafe and a really warm welcome. Home made fare includes flapjack, scones and delicious sounding soups. We visited on two successive days for coffee and cake whilst walking the South West Coast Path. Splendid.

Lovely tea garden. Secluded garden, tables scattered so ideal to find a quiet spot with a bonkers dog! We had a cream tea each. Two huge scones, jam and cream (a little more cream would have been nice). Reasonably priced. Lovely china cups and saucers. Menu has all sorts of cakes/snacks so plenty of choice. Friendly, polite service. Definitely recommend a visit - lovely walk from Lynmouth through Valley of Rocks.

We discovered this absolute gem of a tearoom on a walk from Valley of the Rocks. It was nestled in a beautiful garden; a perfect setting for afternoon tea. The staff were very pleasant and polite and the tea was served in china crockery. The scones were perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely delicious - compliments to the chef! A lovely menu, something for everyone and not overpriced. Highly recommend and will most definitely visit again.

We enjoyed some extraordinary cakes (spinach-hazelnut, lemon-potato,...) and great cream tea! The staff is very friendly and the decoration is like a dream - flowers in teapots and spoons with hearts on it. Wochenende loved it!

The gardens are lovely, and the food was very nice, with spiced buns extremely tasty. Coffee was OK.All in all a bit expensive.

Visit was very disapointing because although the sign said they were 'open' till 5pm they only serve cold drinks after 4.30pm ... I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a 'Tea Cottage' to be serving tea when it's open! Younger members of staff were helpful...

Because it's tucked away on the lee abbey estate on a half term weekend in June, there were extensive delays in waiting for credit card transactions to be processed. But it was a nice day and in no hurry. Lunch was a cup of delicious...

Visiting the tea cottage when visiting Lee Bay is a must. Cream tea is the best in the area with fresh scones. Sit back and enjoy the tea, while savouring the Exmoor countryside.

We walked from Lynton and this gives a good day out along with the beach nearby. Service was very friendly and effective. Our table was very wobbly and we did worry about our refreshments becoming earthbound. Perhaps we should just have chosen a better table,...

Great little place. Came in here by chance and we were greeted by very friendly staff. Sadly we could not sit in the beautiful garden as it was pouring with rain but the inside was just as sweet. Lovely little hideaway for a light lunch.

Great cakes, nice coffee and tea - and in probably one of the most beautiful settings you could imagine for a cafe. On a sunny day, to sit in a perfect English country garden and be served tea and scones - well, it doesn't really get better than that...

This was set in a wooded valley above the bay in lovely garden with tables set under trees, each with fresh garden flowers on the tables. The cakes were homemade and delicious. The tea and milk provided was generous so you could really enjoy a drink. Served with bone china tea cups.Parking for disabled is very near but the path is naturally steep and narrow so you need to be strong to push uphill. There were however two small tables near the gate.Toilets just outside the gardens.

Visited today with my family, could not have been a more enjoyable experience. Attentive, accommodating and friendly staff. Ensured the 4 of us could sit together once another group had finished - making it much easier to keep an eye on our two little boys. Offered an easy alternative of baked beans on toast (though neither of our boys like that - think they're the only kids that don't!), but felt assured could ask for a very slight amendment to the sandwich offering for my eldest (6), we ordered our youngest (4) jam on toast which came with a selection of 4 jams! Exceeded expectations all round, expecting a loaf sized piece of lemon drizzle, when lemon cake was offered, instead it was a three layer lemon cake that was delicious, everything was really reasonably priced and delicious. Would recommend without hesitation and I don't know for sure, but it sounds like they provide some level of takeaway too, if you're looking for picnic bits. Thank you

The best dining out experience you can have. Food fabulous, whatever you choose. Sunday lunch is so good, you need a big appetite. Liam and his team give an excellent service. Definitely the best restaurant in North Devon.

We had a lovely dinner. Well presented, tastes were lovely and careful thought had gone into the dishes with local and seasonal ingredients. I would like to have bought some of the art but the one we liked had already sold and the others were out of my price range. 😅 The rest of the building is also interesting with a range of film memorabilia.
