The best restaurants serving British food in Mendip South West

Friendly service. Nice window seats for watching the world go by. Great coffee but the highlight is home made cakes. Even the pastries. So rare!

We stayed overnight at the Full Moon Inn and what a delight it was from start to finish. From being met at the front door of the pub by the friendliest horse, to the fuss the wonderful staff made of our daughter and all the personal touches in the room; homemade cookies, snuggly hot water bottles and a stocked mini fridge. Then there was the fabulous filling meal in the pub and the wholesome breakfast in the morning. A wonderful family experience that I can wholeheartedly recommend!!!

What a discovery! Only found it as I took a wrong turning but how lucky I was. Followed signs for Mamf’s Cafe and had one of the best traditional fry ups I’ve had for a long time. Staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating (I do like my bacon done to death and they knew exactly what I meant). I will return.

Excellent its a gluten free haven, called in as read on line that's its good for gluten free and we were not dissapointed it's brilliant. We had a really good lunch and my wife's gluten free lunch was really good. Service was excellent, we were warmly greated as soon as we walked in and told there was a table free upstairs a d the young ladies that served us were really pleasent and looked after us. Great food, great service

Éramos un grupo de cuatro mujeres, habíamos estado haciendo todo lo que pudimos en nuestro día completo en Glastonbury, así que habíamos subido el Tor, a la Primavera Blanca y los Jardines del Cáliz... ¡necesitábamos algo de refresco! El hombre y la mujer que nos atendió eran amables y acogedores, la gama de tés y bebidas era buena y, aunque no teníamos pastel, los pasteles que se ofrecen se veían realmente deliciosos. Nos sentamos en el patio para tomar nuestros tés, la zona estaba limpia, luminosa y espaciosa. Estábamos al final del día y bastante agotados de lo contrario me hubiera gustado visitar el museo también ... la próxima vez!

Nice little coffee shop dog friendly and the two ladies were very welcome me and my dog with open arms and the coffee and toast for my dog 🐶 was very nice

In with the family for breakfast, food was exceptional, service was homely and added to the experience. Would definitely recommend!

The best fish and chips for miles. Huge tasty fish and excellent value for money. Give this hidden gem a try. Now for home delivery on Deliveroo and UberEats. Highly recommended!

I was after a healthy, hot chocolate after the gym made of coconut milk, and the kind lady recommended a hazelnut dark hot chocolate, and it was a 10 out of 10. thank you!!

We had read the good reviews and decided to track Tina's kitchen down on a visit to Okehampton. Its tucked away at the back of the pub so not that easy to spot. We had bacon rolls and coffee for breakfast and sat in the pub garden. Very dog friendly both inside and out. The coffee was really good and the bacon rolls generously served with three rashers of bacon each. Very reasonably priced too. Our dog loved her sausage too.

We had such a lovely experience at the Old Village Tea Room - we had lovely tea and coffee and some delicious Afternoon Tea cakes and scones as well - the waitress was so friendly and cheerful, and very efficient when bringing all the food to our table. We were very impressed with the lovely service - many thanks !

Very disappointing. We came here once before and we were very impressed but this time the batter was burnt black in places.

Absolutely lovely meal here to celebrate a birthday. We had a number of small sharing plates and as a big meat eater this place really makes vegetables fun!!

Every dish was perfect from crab cake starters to creme Brûlées. Our family table of six had three different choices of mains, salmon, chicken and venison. Every plate was perfect, with tasty sauces, jus, creamy leeks and lemon butter sauce with the fish. We all had desserts and wine too. This is how restaurants should be, great service, no rush and absolutely stunning food.

Había oído grandes cosas sobre las cenas asadas en este increíble pub. Como me alojaba en Bath el fin de semana, me aseguré de hacer una reserva de almuerzo del domingo. El ambiente en el pub es acogedor y acogedor. Lottie y Jacob nos atendió muy bien y eran muy atentos. La comida está fuera de este mundo - no como carne, pero la alternativa vegetariana era deliciosa. Mis amigos que tenían la carne de res y cerdo dijeron que era maravilloso. Lo recomendaría 100% y volveré si estoy en la zona.
