The best restaurants serving British food in Mendip South West

I have always enjoyed my fish and chips at Morrison’s Wells cafe and have for years advised friends and relatives that they are in my opinion the best in our area of Somerset. As it’s a 10 miles ew for me I tend to go once a month. This year, in Jan I travelled over queued only to be told at cash till sorry no fish. Today Feb exactly the same happened.i tried to ring ahead to check but they don’t take phonecalls at the store.Morrisons cafe is I would have thought one of their jewels for getting customers who are prepared to travel and have lunch after wards. This place is dirty and unhygienic. Staff are rude and surly. Coffee only fit for cleaning the drains. An absolute disgrace. Should be a negative score.

Waited 40 minutes on Christmas Eve to buy 2 white loaves of bread. Opened first one bread was hard, second one the same . Not very nice. Thanks Christie
