The best restaurants serving British food in Wimborne Minster East Dorset South West

This was the second time we've chosen to have a pre-Christmas meal in the Wimborne Pig and safe to say it won't be our last (hopefully!). From start to finish it was perfect in every way. A friendly and warm welcome combined with the cosy and festive ambience set the tone. In terms of the food, the quality of the ingredients and skill taken in preparing them provided for a wonderful selection of dishes. Nothing more to say, I can see why the Wimborne Pig is so well regarded and we look forward to the opportunity to visit again!!!

This place is a lovely little hidden gem in Wimborne, there's nothing better then sitting outside in the sunshine by the river enjoying a lovely cooked breakfast and at a decent reasonable price as well :)

Excellent and plentiful lunch under a gazebo on a sunny afternoon. Staff friendly, great beer, service and tasty food.

5 of us came here for a birthday lunch, a beautiful place, Beau was so attentive to us. All staff so friendly and helpful. So professional. You could tell they were aware of the customers and when they needed anything. Decor lovely, food amazing. Service amazing. Would definitely recommend.

My compliments to the chef. Food was excellent, home cooked and delicious..not expensive. We will return again soon. This is a little gem of a place in the centre right next to the Minster

I go in most days and always have a good experience in there. Whether it’s the badhand coffee, the delicious homemade cakes or the friendly and welcoming staff I always leave with a smile on my face!

Clearly understaffed, food was hit and miss (Bang Bang cauliflower = hit, fries = miss), maybe OK for a quick casual experience but poor for a proper meal out. Badly run.

Christmas meal for 13 of us……absolutely fabulous night! The food was amazing - it arrived hot and was very tasty, the portions were big and every course was of a high standard! The pub had a live band, there was dancing and singing and a whole lot of fun ! Thank you White Hart! Thoroughly recommend the venue for a Christmas party!

Big smoke burger was a big disappointment, nothing like the photo. Chips old and warm. Onion rings obviously refried and cold! Waitress did apologise and offer to get something else hot!

Absolutely love this place, my mum works there, Carol Scott and his team are so nice and the new chef is very good, (and so is Scott) ☺️Scott always welcomes us with open arms. All the customers I’ve met over the years are also super friendly and welcoming. I’ll be see you all again soon. X

I stayed over Christmas, as I have now done 3 years in a row. I was well looked after, and am beginning to feel part of the family. I ate in the restaurant once, and also had Christmas lunch. All was very good. My room was large and comfortable. I will repeat the experience next year, if not before.

Fabulous food, great service and pleasant surroundings! We were a party of eleven and were served by Nadiia who was very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent.

Had a great night with friends. paige was 10/10 and very friendly , played pool and had lovely food :)) My bread was really good

Stayed two nights and staff were all very friendly, had several meals and food was all very tasty. We will ddefinately be coming back handy location too very near tje town centre
