Went for coffee and cake, the place was empty so we sat by the window. We noticed it was quite grubby and dirty with coffee stains down the chair and table legs. We ordered 2 hot drinks and 2 slices of cake, the drinks came out luke warm so had to send them back and still when they came back the second time they still weren't hot. We paid £17.50 for 2 semi hot drinks and 2 slices of cake, so unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Wimborne was busy on a Friday morning around 11am, we have never been to this cafe but it was not so busy and not noisy which we liked. I did not think to check trip advisor reviews and we took a chance to eat here. We wanted breakfast i went for full English £12.95 approx my mum went for poached eggs on toast £9 approx. I felt this was over priced but we went with it. we also ordered two cappuccinos. positives The decor is quaint and pretty inside. staff friendly menu offers breakfast, lunch, cakes, hot and cold drinks. the sausage was good quality locally sourced which i prefer. the service was efficient. negatives: coffees were luke warm, we sent them back and asked for them to be hot. staff were sorry and gave us fresh hot coffees. Poached eggs for us both were not runny but hard. The toast was not buttered and no butter was offered and the eggs were already placed on top of the toast. so would have had to gently removed them to butter the toast. the bacon on mine was rock hard like it had been cooked and left for a while or reheated to serve. my full English breakfast did not feel freshly cooked, in that the items felt like they were cooked a while ago then reheated. I have read other tripadvisor reviews for this cafe and see there are some positives ones but maybe this was an 'off' morning for the chef cooking our breakfast. I would advise the cafe to ask if customers want their toast buttered (proper butter only). If serving poached eggs they need to be runny!! otherwise it's like eating a soft boiled egg. Maybe for the price of the full English offer two eggs and two sausages. and make sure the coffee is the right temperature. it needs to be hotter so it doesnt go luke warm quickly. I hope this can be taken on board as it's a lovely spot in Wimborne over looking the minster.

We had lunch here on Saturday. I had a goats cheese quiche and my husband the cheddar and leek quiche. Both came with potato salad, a green salad and red cabbage coleslaw. I’m a keen cook and normally quite critical but could find no fault or room for improvement with either. Excellent. Also what lovely, well turned out staff.

Booked here for afternoon tea for 3. On the day we were due to visit we were rung to say the cafe would not be opening that day due to staffing issues but if we were prepared to sit outside the afternoon tea could go ahead via their bakery next door. As the weather was gorgeous we agreed as it was not possible to rearrange to another date as we were only visiting on that date. The afternoon tea had unlimited Tea (none of us had coffee) and the food consisted of a sausage roll, a slice of quiche, 4 finger sandwiches each - 3 fillings of savoury tuna, egg mayo and ham & tomato. You got a large scone with jam and clotted cream and also a large slice of cake. At £22.50 a head it is good value. You do need to book in advance for afternoon tea though.

A disappointing brunch for four was £55!! All our fried eggs were over cooked and the extra sourdough toast had been cremated on one side and was unprofessionally served with the burnt side face down. My son asked for unburnt toast and literally 3 minutes later they served sourdough which was barely toasted so he had to take it back. By this time his English breakfast was cold. This is basic stuff which should be easy enough to do and was not picked up by management. They were not busy when we ordered and when we asked for a high chair they clearly couldn’t be bothered to walk to their sister restaurant next door to get one. An extremely disappointing meal. We shall not return.

This is a favourite destination on my cycles from Poole. Usually I take away one of the delicious pies to eat on a bench in the church grounds. Today I treated myself to a table outside and ordered a Sandbanks bitter and the Posh Beans on Toast. The butter beans with onion , garlic and tomatoes on sourdough toast was exceptional. Despite a chilly February day, I sat outside having a mindful moment gazing up at the beautiful 12th century church enjoying the chimes of the famous clock every quarter. Service outside involves ordering inside and one should be relaxed and have plenty of time as service can be slow. I have never eaten inside the teahouse but it looks lovely. But nothing can beat that view from the outside tables.

Thanks to the mild weather we were able to dine outside with a view of the church. Good range of food and cakes. In winter I presume they do take away or catering jobs as no seating in side though they have patio heaters. Only downside is the public toilets adjacent… no smell or anything but my husband found that the Gents wasn’t as clean as it could be. Though this would be out of control of the cafe.

This is the most delightful eating experience for many reasons. The food is delicious delightful, the staff are ALWAYS so pleasant, cheerful and kind. The ambience is wonderful set in an olde bakery directly opposite the Minster in Wimborne. Flagstone floors, low ceilings and Bow window. Just something out of a Beatrix Potter tale. The menu offers a wide range of the most tasty meals (must try their sausage rolls!) 😋 All in all an experience which you will want to repeat again and again.

Visited the cafe today. Lovely place and atmosphere. The servers were so friendly and the food was just fantastic. I had poached eggs and avo on Gluten free bread. I am a coelaic. After tasting my food on arrival,it was so good my partner wanted to try some. He is non GF and he even commented on how amazing the bread was. I got a little worried that maybe they had switched up the breads since the GF was so good, but when I enquired with the server and he double checked with the kitche, they confirmed it was safe. That's how good it was. Apparently they sell it. I understand now why it was sold out. I just wish I could but it online and get it delivered to London. I was so embarrassed asking the serve if he was sure it was GF as it tasted so good. But other coeliacs and GFers would know when the panic sets in, you're always better asking. So really cannot recommend the place enough. If I am ever passing through again I will definitely go in. I'm just sorry I never got to try they cakes.

We had a great lunch here, the chicken, sun dried tomatoes and pesto on sourdough and quiche and salad. It was super tasty and fresh. The food also arrived in a timely manner. My only complaint would be the attitude and customer service of one of the waitresses. She was very short and curt with customers when taking orders and also when reminding customers about Covid restrictions. I witnessed her being particularly brusque with a customer who had accidentally entered the shop when they should have been outside. It is a confusing time for everyone at the moment and visitors are going to sometimes make mistakes. A gentle, polite reminder to wait outside rather than a sharp admonishment would have been better and more welcoming.

We went for coffee and cake this morning. Ordered 2 americanos, one double shot, one single shot, and 2 cakes. Waited a long time then when the coffees finally came we asked which was the stronger one. There followed a Fawlty Towers conversation where the waitress said the coffees were both exactly the same but she could bring us a 3rd one (the same) if that's what we wanted. We said no thank you, we would like 2 coffees, 1 strong and 1 weak and she again offered a 3rd cup. Then she said they weren't trained to do different strengths of coffee. Eventually they took the coffees away and brought 2 more - claiming one was strong. By this time we were past caring so drank them. They then asked if there was anything else they could do for us and we had to remind them that we still hadn't had our cakes. When they arrived, they were foul - far too much sugar, and not as fresh as they should be This is such a shame - we had tried the cafe for breakfast a few months ago but had had to leave when we were told that they couldn't do breakfast because the chef hadn't arrived. This was at 9.30 on a Sunday morning, with full breakfasts advertised. We definitely won't risk going back a third time. Worst cafe in the whole area. And dirty windows - although it could have been a botched attempt at 'frosting'!

The menu has plenty of choice on offer and there's a 'specials' board which includes some delicious cakes such as the usual brownie, treacle tart and of course the ubiquitous Dorset apple cake alongside some very different choices like lemon and blueberry, lime and courgette, we decided on the warm Dorset apple cake for dessert, delicious!

Booked breakfast for 6 plus dog. Very dog friendly but if this isn't for you, then dogs are quite rightly, allowed downstairs only. Warm welcome and friendly service. Delicious breakfast enjoyed by all. Thank you. We'll be back.

Went to visit the Minster but a service was on so went to this tea room on the other side of the Green. Lovely proper English tea room with home made cakes. We both had cream scones, we prefer plain to fruit and some places only do fruit. Scones were delicious served warm, cream was lovely and thick. Hot chocolate was as hot as the coffee which is nice. Lovely setting and would highly recommend.

Sorry. Animals (in this instance - dogs) in a cafe, where food is offered for service, is not my 'cup of coffee'.

This is a nice traditional cafe on the green with a view of the Minster. I had a GF / DF slice of pecan and carrot cake. It was terribly sweet. And a cappuccino. Weak and really huge cup. All in all, very average.

Lovely little cafe worth waiting for a seat outside. Nicely presented and good friendly service. Had some gluten free stuff. Toilets just to the side what more could you want. A great place to rest your feet.

We were expecting great things, the restaurant was a lovely setting, staff very attentive but it just missed the mark unfortunately.

We decided to visit Wimborne on the way to Lyme Regis in Dorset. After a walking around the town we was looking for somewhere to have a snack. We found this wonderful cafe, No 9 on the Green. Well decorated and friendly staff, we ordered toasted sandwiches and a pot of tea for 2. The toasties were very yummy. If you visit No 9 on the Green, see if you can find Marmaduke a wooly mouse.

My mum and sister visited for coffee on Saturday morning, having visited previously and enjoyed the experience. On this occasion however, they noticed that although the cafe wasn't busy, the table hadn't been cleared and there were dead flowers on it. It was a long time before the order was taken and an equally long time before the drinks were delivered: 2 coffees and a juice. Coffee was disappointing and the general ambience of the cafe seemed to have deteriorated. Not wishing to appear negative but thought you should be aware of this.

I had lunch here recently; goat's cheese, beetroot and rocket sourdough sandwich, followed by Dorset apple cake, both of which were yummy! The staff were friendly and the coffee was good too!

Lovely afternoon tea. Very good service, friendly staff. Would recommend.Food very nice although only 2 choices of sandwiches was slightly disappointing. Scones and cake, which we had to take home more than made up for this

A lovely little tea shop offering a nice variety of goodies. A proper English tea house, perfect for a break while you wander around the village or as a meet up with friends.

A cosy place to take refuge from the rain on a miserable afternoon in Wimborne where cold rain and leaden skies were in ugly contrast to the lovely spring days we'd enjoyed a few days earlier at the end of March.

Went for lunch, I had the flatbread with avocado, feta and tomatoes. No way was that flatbread. I left some and mentioned it to the waiter when he cleared the plates. He said that he would tell the chef but then he didn’t come back to tell us what he said.

Visited for afternoon tea. The range of cakes included almond and clementine which was gluten and dairy free (a treat for my wife who has to avoid both). The service was a little slow but very friendly and helpful.

I bought my Mother here for a belated mothers day lunch, (was working) and we had been here a few times over the years through various name changes but we always love this tea room. We didn't realise thst there should have been another menu on our table( found out by someone else ordering after we had, that wasn't on the specials board) so was going by the specials, we chose the quiche which turned out to be absolutely delicious although a little pricey! 2 quiche, a bottle of lager and a standard milkshake came to £25. But worth it for mum. And also the quiche. My Mum also has never been a mayonnaise fan due to vinegar, but she actually ate the potato salad and most of the coleslaw so it goes to show what brilliant food they do and how it's prepared . The negatives were we did wait a little for service I went to counter as I thought we were maybe supposed to order there as no one had come near us and also it gets very crowded and cramped downstairs 2 people had taken tables by the door so we couldn't get out without them having to move. We will definitely come again though and I do recommend as it is so quaint is in a lovely setting in Wimborne and food always good

Absolutely awful service. Booked a table for 9.am. typing this review at 10.05am and still no breakfast! No drinks were offered until 9.35am, ordered moccha got hot chocolate. Most of which was on the table as it was badly carried to the table. 9.50 am finally asked for our orders, I said how as no menu provided. Waitress said it was because we weren't sat at a "breakfast table"!! The table we were told to sit at ? 9.55am, cutlery bought to us but no food, not even toast. 10.10am 1 glass of apple juice placed on table but no pineapple juice or 2 x lattes we ordered 20 mins ago!! Tables that were seated after us were asked their orders first. Such a shame as our first stay was amazing. Last nights dinner service & quality of food was amazing. Breakfast ends/ended 10 am. Checkout is 11.am !! Extremely disappointing experience. STILL NO FOOD at 10 15am and I'm on the verge of just leaving without now.

When we moved to the area in early 2020, one of our neighbours told us that Bentleys was his favourite places for a Sunday carvery. Then came Covid and lockdowns, so that we have only now been able to try it out, since its reopening last month. We were very much looking forward to it and, whilst it was OK, it was a little disappointing. Firstly the complimentary hors d’oeuvres. One small rectangular plate was presented to us, but whilst the quantity of what was on there was fine for two, the actual components on it were one chicken skewer, one spring roll and two small, but different, tarts, meaning that, other than the olives and feta, everything had to be cut in half to enable us each to sample everything! The carvery itself was neither the best that I have ever had, but nor was it the worst. I was impressed that the beef was cooked as beef should be, and not cremated, and commented as much to the chef. As this was unusual for a carvery both my wife and I went for it plus some turkey. I have to say that the turkey was very nice, but the beef was rather chewy. Vegetables were OK; I thought that the roast potatoes could have been a bit crispier and the Yorkshire was pretty rock solid. For dessert, my wife chose the lemon meringue which, I think was a good choice, because I went for rhubarb crumble and custard and found the crumble topping to be almost as solid as a pie crust. I'm afraid that it is unlikely that we will be rushing back.

Did not need to book, although it got busy later on. Staff shortage was very evident (Only Barman & Chef). The service was very friendly and Good ambience. Orders taken, drinks got we sat down and waited. The food was delivered by Chef and it was plentiful, and tasted very nice, i still have Choc Fudge Cake and custard stuck to the roof of my mouth:) We did overhear from next table that some of the menu advertised was not available and a table of 10 did seem to wait a while for their courses. I'm sure once some decent waiting staff are engaged service time will improve and overall experience will be fine. Would we go again, definitely, but suggest that until more staff are on board Don't Plan your visit on Timings, Theses could go well over..
