Can't recommend this highly enough. We popped in for lunch one day and went back for breakfast the next. Great choice on the menu and all freshly cooked. Lovely warm and friendly welcome - not only from the staff but from other customers (mostly local I think). Oh and the view is flippin' gorgeous as well!

We stayed a couple of doors down from this bakery and visited for breakfast on our last day. All six of us agreed that it was superb. Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection with no grease at all and really reasonably priced too. You need to book as it’s get busy and it’s a small venue but we will definitely go back. The staff were also super helpful and the service was great.

Stopped here for lunch whilst walking the coast path. Hadn’t planned to, but the menu looked interesting. We both had the vegan option, which was a tempura cauliflower, which came with nice potatoes, sweet onions and coriander hummus. Was really excellent. Recommended.

Sunday Roast: The staff were great. The decor and Atmosphere good. The price good. The Vegetables great, the gravy ok, just. The beef, gristle. The potatoes over cooked dark brown, the Yorkshire Pudding flat pancakes. The Tribute lemony, a husbandry issue. Place has potential.

We stayed in the pub for one night while passing through. The public parking lot was a bit far away but within walking distance. The people were very polite, nice and helpful. Unfortunately the kitchen was cold that evening and we got fast food from a nearby snack bar. The breakfast was prepared very lovingly and with a lot of effort and surprisingly good with real coffee for a pub. In some hotels it was worse.

The pastry on these pasty’s is a revelation. When pretty much every shop in Cornwall claims to have award winning pasty’s this spot actually differentiates itself as something special. Our only regret was not going earlier to secure a wider variety of flavours as they do sell out but it has to be said this prompted us to buy a feta and spinach pasty which was a total crowd favourite. I’d recommend preordering and picking up to then drive down to the beach and picnic.

The Devonport is know for its amazing food (and beautiful backdrop), and goodness it did not disappoint. We were there for Mother’s Day, there was 6 of us. I had the mussels with gorgeous thick cut chips. My brother and mum had the Skate special, which was a huge portion of fish with caper butter and chips. It was outstanding! My step mum had the Haddock and chips and she said it was the best ‘fish and chips - fish’ she’s ever had! She is not easily pleased. My husband had the paella and he was so impressed, the fish was so fresh and juicy. Fish is their show stopper, so I’d always try and order some kind of fish/seafood. But overall, amazing food and fantastic hospitality. Social shout-out to the Manager who was very knowledgable of the wine and port that The Devonport had available. Will be coming back more and more - I feel very lucky to live locally. Thanks guys!

The tea and coffee were nice but "cream tea" was a let down. After saying we would eat in, 10 minutes later we were asked do you want "jam or cream on first?' Unusual we thought but then after another 5 minutes, a scone arrived in a burger box already spread! During this time only one other customer. Bizarre
