Bought and cooked monkfish tails, easy and superb. Also oysters and managed to open them ourselves after buying an oyster knife - wonderfully fresh and we’ve learnt a new skill! A great selection with friendly and knowledgeable advice. We’ll be back.

Absolutely amazing little find. This was one of the nest cooked breakfasts we ever had. The stagg were all polite and very pleasant. The gent who served us was brilliant (tall with shaved head) and Zoo was an absolute delight. Made our 1st visit to Falmouth worth the trip for this alone.

Simply outstanding!! From the moment you are greeted to happily offering a generous tip " The Shack " in Falmouth is a must for all sea food lovers! The food, the flavours, the portion sizes, the choice, the price.. all just great value! If it was closer this would be our local go to most weekends. Nothing to fault here! Highly recommend you visit! Thankyou for a super lovely evening Keisha Craig and family from Newquay. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

Getting a bit too commercialised for our enjoyment. Loosing the community feel it used to have and it's expensive. Good toasted sandwiches and good cakes if you can afford it

Didn't eat here, so can't comment. Drinks are really, really expensive. Almost £10 for only 2 drinks. It's a nice place to visit, I sometimes go on a Tuesday evening, during the Summer, as their is Entertainment there.

My daughter stayed at the hotel and we joined her for dinner. We sat outside with the wonderful view on a lovely evening. She confirmed that they understood she had a nut allergy. When the desert arrived she was suspicious about the topping. I tasted it, definitely nuts. It was returned to the kitchen. We were all obviously anxious. The waitress offered free coffee as an apology. When I said we would have the free coffee she said it was only 1 free coffee for my daughter. When she came to check out the next morning the receptionist made a point of saying that she had received a free beverage. We had averted a medical emergency and she was expected to be grateful for a free coffee! Not good enough Royal Duchy. More customer service training required for staff in the kitchen, waiting on and at reception.

Visited today for Sunday lunch and certainly won’t be returning. All the veg appeared frozen and not fresh, including the roast potatoes. Very sparse amount too. I had a substance on my plate which I did not even recognise, but it had the consistency of PVA glue, I asked a member of staff what it was. He said he had no idea but would ask the chef. Transpires it was cauliflower cheese and passed on apologies from the chef! I honestly don’t know what I expected him to do or say, but seriously. We are local people but won’t be returning.

I stayed at the Mariners in recently whilst visiting family in the town. The staff were very friendly and my room was comfortable with a great view. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and I will return to the Mariners when I'm next in Falmouth.

Visited the Falmouth for an Easter Sunday meal and I have to say the whole experience was incredibly underwhelming. The menu choice was uninspiring to say the least for starters, mains and desserts. None of the food particularly suited a child but we were not allowed to order from a different menu for my daughter. The main course roast was tepid on arrival, very mean in terms of accompanying vegetables, lacking flavour and the gravy was thin and bland. I understand the hotel has been taken over by the Greenbank owners. We love eating at the Greenbank and go there regularly, but the Falmouth has a very, very long way to go to reach that standard. Will not be returning any time soon.

Fantastic place. Loved the traditional style of the pub downstairs. Staff were all friendly, welcoming, efficient, accommodating and non pressurizing. Couldnt ask for better service. There was a disabled toilet and lift, which was very useful. The ambience and position was incredible, overlooking the sea and harbour. Parking very nearby on key, making easy access for those of us who are disabled. Whilst there are timings on booking 2 hours for 4 people, these only seem to apply when busy. We went at a quiet time and were able to have the table longer and were able to have a drink downstairs before going up to our table later than we booked. Food was incredible. Menu was limited, but great choice of food, all of which was a bit special. Will definately go again and can't recommend enough.

Fantastic food, excellent prices. We ate here several times on our trip to Falmouth. Amazing choice of pasties at very reasonable prices, hot drinks and cookies. There aren't many places to sit inside but we chose to take our food to the harbour anyway. Delicious, we will return, (again).
