Bought and cooked monkfish tails, easy and superb. Also oysters and managed to open them ourselves after buying an oyster knife - wonderfully fresh and we’ve learnt a new skill! A great selection with friendly and knowledgeable advice. We’ll be back.

Simply outstanding!! From the moment you are greeted to happily offering a generous tip " The Shack " in Falmouth is a must for all sea food lovers! The food, the flavours, the portion sizes, the choice, the price.. all just great value! If it was closer this would be our local go to most weekends. Nothing to fault here! Highly recommend you visit! Thankyou for a super lovely evening Keisha Craig and family from Newquay. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

We went to The Princess Pavilion to watch Ride, although the hall is cosy for a concert the acoustics were excellent, there are good toilets and a well appointed bar and ample free parking at the site. We ate out at Wetherspoons in Falmouth which was clean friendly served a good curry and a good pint. Falmouth is an old haunt which myself and my kids frequented to visit my dad who lived there for many years. The town and harbour are still a fond favourite of mine. 👌🏻

My daughter stayed at the hotel and we joined her for dinner. We sat outside with the wonderful view on a lovely evening. She confirmed that they understood she had a nut allergy. When the desert arrived she was suspicious about the topping. I tasted it, definitely nuts. It was returned to the kitchen. We were all obviously anxious. The waitress offered free coffee as an apology. When I said we would have the free coffee she said it was only 1 free coffee for my daughter. When she came to check out the next morning the receptionist made a point of saying that she had received a free beverage. We had averted a medical emergency and she was expected to be grateful for a free coffee! Not good enough Royal Duchy. More customer service training required for staff in the kitchen, waiting on and at reception.

Such a fabulous place! We stayed here for two nights as a family with our dog. Every aspect of our time here was excellent. Josh and the team were so super friendly and helpful. They went way beyond to make sure that we had what we needed. We had a nightmare drive and arrived near midnight. Josh and the team had stayed up to welcome us and even prepared sandwiches and drinks for our arrival. The rooms were very comfortable. The bed and bedding was the most comfortable we have experienced. The lighting in the rooms was so well thought out. The pictures on the walls were unique and fitting. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The best poached eggs. So special to be able to sit outside with the magnificent views even though it was October! The team also made it very easy for us to park and to have our dog with us. All details that make a real difference. Josh and the team were so so welcoming. We long to come again!

Fantastic food, excellent prices. We ate here several times on our trip to Falmouth. Amazing choice of pasties at very reasonable prices, hot drinks and cookies. There aren't many places to sit inside but we chose to take our food to the harbour anyway. Delicious, we will return, (again).
