The best restaurants in Falmouth Gyllyngvase Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Excellent views and staff are always friendly and welcome. Have not tried the food but always have a good drink from there. Highly recommended! They always help local artists in there by giving them a shelf to sell stuff… very cool!

Fantastic little restaurant just off the main street. Excellent service combined with delicious food and beers. Really lovely, but just be sure you mention any allergies to your host. We weren't asked and at least one dish came up with nuts sprinkled on top - very important to confirm!

I enjoyed one of the best coffees I've ever had here, which with friendly service and a fabulous view, must make this the best cafe in Falmouth.

Great ambiance, great staff, we had the pancakes (both Cornish and vegan) and they were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend getting the strawberries and banana extras!

Simply outstanding!! From the moment you are greeted to happily offering a generous tip " The Shack " in Falmouth is a must for all sea food lovers! The food, the flavours, the portion sizes, the choice, the price.. all just great value! If it was closer this would be our local go to most weekends. Nothing to fault here! The staff was amazing and so was the food! We got the burger and the green curry, both really tasty! The mocktails were delicious as well!

Top notch meal! Convenient location, nice decor, private booths. Waiters were very friendly which makes such a difference. Wonderful food - chicken wings, whitebait, ribs and fillet steak with good red wine, all for a reasonable price. Thanks again to the chef! We will be back.

Delicious starters, very good service, had the set meal, beef was a little tough

First and more most the food is totally delicious. The cauliflower “wings” are a must have! super crunchy and flavourful. Really let down by the staff unfortunately, 3 girls on shift and only 3 tables in, we waited a very long time to order while they all chatted at the counter, I attempted to call a waitress over and waited another two minutes while they finished their conversations. It felt like when they did come over they’d rather be anywhere else and they were doing us a massive favour by taking our order. I work in hospitality so know what it’s like when things get busy, but on a slow weekday evening no one should be waiting that long for service. Dampened the experience unfortunately!

Super expensive (£100 for a bottle of California chardonnay, you probably can buy at Tesco) and not super food - (would you like olive oil poured over your chocolate mousse?) Great location - but unlikely to go again any time soon.
