Bought and cooked monkfish tails, easy and superb. Also oysters and managed to open them ourselves after buying an oyster knife - wonderfully fresh and we’ve learnt a new skill! A great selection with friendly and knowledgeable advice. We’ll be back.

Simply outstanding!! From the moment you are greeted to happily offering a generous tip " The Shack " in Falmouth is a must for all sea food lovers! The food, the flavours, the portion sizes, the choice, the price.. all just great value! If it was closer this would be our local go to most weekends. Nothing to fault here! Highly recommend you visit! Thankyou for a super lovely evening Keisha Craig and family from Newquay. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

Good coffee, limited seating and no pasties so we went elsewhere for something to eat. Great location right on the beach.

We went to The Princess Pavilion to watch Ride, although the hall is cosy for a concert the acoustics were excellent, there are good toilets and a well appointed bar and ample free parking at the site. We ate out at Wetherspoons in Falmouth which was clean friendly served a good curry and a good pint. Falmouth is an old haunt which myself and my kids frequented to visit my dad who lived there for many years. The town and harbour are still a fond favourite of mine. 👌🏻

Excellent food. Excellent service and I just love the view. Had soup to start and then a pie. Family had a range of other menu items. All very tasty and plates cleared as much as possible

I stayed at the Mariners in recently whilst visiting family in the town. The staff were very friendly and my room was comfortable with a great view. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and I will return to the Mariners when I'm next in Falmouth.

My daughter stayed at the hotel and we joined her for dinner. We sat outside with the wonderful view on a lovely evening. She confirmed that they understood she had a nut allergy. When the desert arrived she was suspicious about the topping. I tasted it, definitely nuts. It was returned to the kitchen. We were all obviously anxious. The waitress offered free coffee as an apology. When I said we would have the free coffee she said it was only 1 free coffee for my daughter. When she came to check out the next morning the receptionist made a point of saying that she had received a free beverage. We had averted a medical emergency and she was expected to be grateful for a free coffee! Not good enough Royal Duchy. More customer service training required for staff in the kitchen, waiting on and at reception.

After visiting Falmouth for a lot of years and stopping in different unsuitable hotels we have now found our perfect base . Placed next to the harbour it’s perfect for shops pubs and no hills to climb . Our room over looked the harbour and was a very good size the bed was comfortable and we slept really well . We had a meal on our first night at the chain locker and it’s the best steak I’ve had for a long time , the second night we had a meal at the Thai next door which is our go to every time we visit . We had an amazing breakfast both mornings and it really doesn’t disappoint, lovely young girl is an asset to them nothing was too much trouble . Thank you we look forward to stopping again in the near future .

Fantastic food, excellent prices. We ate here several times on our trip to Falmouth. Amazing choice of pasties at very reasonable prices, hot drinks and cookies. There aren't many places to sit inside but we chose to take our food to the harbour anyway. Delicious, we will return, (again).
