Great spoons as usual. Staff were friendly and polite. Usual tap beers and a good selection of real ales available. Patio beer garden at rear. Toilets on ground floor which is unusual. Beer was good. Great visit.

We have been here a lot and although never full up service can be slow we don't mind. Now we sometimes book and sometimes we don't. On those occasion we didn't book. We were told they didn't have any spare tables other than the lounge. Strange we thought but okay. From them on no service they told streams of people to sit in the lounge despite having no room. We had people they and gatecrash our table and others staring at us hoping we would leave. Queueing people out the door. Staff managed it badly one chap punched the door having waited 20 minutes for a table. Staff did nothing. So we ordered via app as no one took our order. Another table sat for 30 minutes waiting before being told to order at the bar. We got given glasses no bowls. After a while we got our bowls ourselves and bowls. The our mains came I explained the lady about the lack of service and we hadn't had our salad. It was chaos. I have emailed the Harvester but no reply so have given them a chance to reply and they haven't. We left just after man punched the door. We didn't feel safe and it certainly wasn't a chilled Sunday lunch. Shouldn't have made everyone stand in the lounge whe restaurant half full.

Torquay beefeater is certainly is one of the better beefeater's in the area a d tonight was no exception.. we hadn't book as was a last minute decision..although they were short staffed we were greeted by a happy friendly man in a grey shirt didn't get his name sorry!!! Our waitress Sharon was excellent and definitely needed to be mentioned Thank you for your lovely service

This place has nothing going for it at all. Salad bar was mostly an island devoid of salad, although there was plenty on the floor round the salad bar. Main meals were mostly ok apart from cold burgers and cake that was still frozen inside. Two of the waiting staff need to realize that wearing dirty T shirts does not give a good impression. Recommend if you are on the M5, keep going! Ps, having been on TripAdvisor for around 10 years, this is the first ever 1 star review!

Had a lovely meal ar marsh mills beefeater yesterday at 6pm. The place was clean and welcoming. My family would like to thank Josh who was our server. Happy, polite and very welcoming. Josh was very happy to make sure everything was just right for us . Serving food and quick clearing the table. I wish there was more people like Josh working for you and in this world .

BEST CARBONARA EVER! Visited with hubby today, ordered the carbonara and fish and chips. The fish was lovely and crispy with a batter that was not too thick or too thin, just right! And then the star of the show, the carbonara! Lovely Smokey, cheesy and peppery bowl of goodness! With a couple of slices of garlic bread to mop the bowl up with! Thank you cobweb for a lovely meal and setting for a lovely sunny Wednesday morning in April!

A favourite with my little girls when down this way, this visit didn't disappoint. The kid's options were good and well priced and I really enjoyed the crispy squid and prawn starter and the rib eye surf n turf steak. Our servers were great and engaged with the girls. Thank you Merryn and Maddie.

I have never been to a place which such a mix of reviews, but the gamble was worth it I think!!! Yes its small (half the charm if you ask me!) and it only has 5 (i think) big bench tables. Yes its not cheap but its FRESH fish, cooked right in front of you. The waitress was friendly, polite, and approachable. No-one minded our huge hairy dog, the food was amazing (scallops a particular highlight) and I was met with a free glass of prosecco for Mothers Day. Its a very cool little beach shack, with great atmosphere and great food. Book in advance! We loved it....thank you Beach House for a very memorable Mothers Day lunch! I did notice there was a VERY large queue for takeaway coffee etc outside which i can imagine is frustrating but as there is no where else serving coffee on a popular beach, i guess you have to expect a queue!

First impressions, cigarette butts, hundreds of them and litter outside the front door in the gravel and plants around the entrance. Dirty glasses on every outside table and litter everywhere. Staff abrupt, no interest in being welcoming - barking questions, couldn’t serve fast enough, so uninterested in any polite or welcoming customer service. Felt like I was bothering her. Food is basic, nothing is fresh here which is fair enough, ping and ding but as staying at the premier inn it’s convenient - presentation shocking, thrown onto plate no garnish or anything to make it look appealing. I chose not to eat my food after checking out some of the reviews on here. Wish I’d check the reviews first! My table was pushed up next to the waiter station - I was able to stare at a bottle of cleaning spray while enjoying my time here. The walls are scuffed, it’s all a bit run down and tired, and not looked after. Avoid, honestly I wouldn’t even bother it’s awful.

Went for some food with some coworkers and had the most underwhelming meal of my life. The team failed to inform us the minor wait would equate to hours of my life waiting for some chips to cook. No check backs, no good will gestures and quite honestly nobody with an ounce of customer service or drive working on shift.

Wanted to be near Exeter Quay and decided to go to Harvester as large car park for late lunch. Three or four people at tables in bar area and it looked like perhaps 1 or 2 tables occupied in dining area. We waited where it says wait to be served, no one. Went to bar. Could hear and see staff working as they were hovering around the door behind the bar and there was an obvious moment of panic when we nearly caught someone’s eye and they quickly jumped back into the back room so they definitely knew we were there but still absolutely no one came to help us. Felt almost like they were hiding until we gave up. After about ten minutes we realised there was absolutely no chance of any service, walked out and found somewhere else to spend our money. Thoroughly unimpressed.
