We came for the first time and had an afternoon tea. The food was lovely, staff were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend coming and excellent value for money

Had the afternoon tea on Valentines day, The table was reserved in the conservatory as requested, the quantity and quality of the food served is superb, the waitress was friendly, and the china tea set they provide just finishes it off , for me it is not a proper afternoon tea without the china .I have paid a lot more for afternoon tea and got a lot less, both in quantity and quality, you have to pre order, but I guarantee you will not be dissapointed.

We had two toasties and coffees. Both were excellent and well priced. We sat on. Two stools in the window which is the only place inside.

Whatever the various opinions about the previous restaurant were like that is history. The new Ivy House is superb. Friendly waiter service, quick ordering, good prices, lovely location, airy, light, spacious, good atmosphere etc. The opening hours are similar to the Groves nursery so dinner is not an option like most garden centre restaurants. Have been there MANY times since the opening and always enjoyed it

I have previously had coffee here and while it has never been amazing, it is generally OK, though I always feel it is priced too high for the quality of coffee you get. However, today it was perhaps the worst cup of coffee I have tasted in over a decade. I am not sure why but maybe something that the barista and the management need to figure out. There are definitely better places for coffee in broadstone! Happy to guide you to these...

Unfortunately not a pleasant or clean dining experience. Tables and floor are not thoroughly clean. Service is subpar, and food takes forever to reach the table. Found a fly inside my food, which was nonchalantly replaced by my server as if it was no big deal. Food is mediocre. The fact that there is a 12.5% service charge automatically included feels ridiculous considering it’s the UK, and the service does not meet the standard for gratuity anyway. I highly recommend skipping this location.

Really disappointing meal Visited for family dinner prior to a wedding Food arrived at the table warm at best, scampi and chips allegedly with garden peas. It was not well presented and the peas were a colour last seen when I had a school dinner many years ago. The restaurant area was dark and not what I had expected from a venue that promises a luxury wedding experience! Last orders were called at 21.30 Overall a poor and disappointing experience which was on a par with the poor quality accommodation we stayed in

Lovely cafe tucked away 1 minute from the hustle and bustle of the High Street. Friendly, welcoming staff, allow well-behaved dogs (especially handy when raining!), delicious food, we had a yummy lunch. Great place to visit for brunch, lunch, afternoon cuppa and cake. Near to the Bishop’s Palace, a great park and the Cathedral.

Decided to try this as it’s under new ownership and within walking distance. I booked ahead for Sunday lunch at 1pm thinking it may be busy but the main bar was was completely empty. The staff greeted us warmly and were offered drinks which we decided to have at the table in the the restaurant away from the loud music. Obviously the staff were playing what they wanted rather than something suitable for the clientele. The restaurant only had one other couple dining, it was completely empty apart from us. The waitresses were very young, sweet and polite. After a considerable wait we were served our food. What a disappointment! The lamb wellington consisted of 3 slices of lamb with a thin layer of pastry around the outside, my Mothers 3 slices of pork looked nice and I have 2 slices of overcooked roast beef. The vegetables looked ok but were barely warm and and roast potatoes were yesterday’s and had chewy skins. Very disappointing which we pointed out to the waitress when she asked how our meal was when she cleared the table. I could hear the same comments from the other couple when they were asked the same question. We decided that we’d go home for our pudding rather than chance a repeat reheat of yesterday’s. Such a shame, we weren’t offered any explanation, but one only had to look around to see why the place was empty. My husband who doesn’t cook could have produced a better meal. It cost us £56 in total. We shan’t be returning and I don’t suppose the other diners will either. I took the meat home and there were no complaints from the dogs!
