Costa Coffee in Bournemouth

I have previously had coffee here and while it has never been amazing, it is generally OK, though I always feel it is priced too high for the quality of coffee you get. However, today it was perhaps the worst cup of coffee I have tasted in over a decade. I am not sure why but maybe something that the barista and the management need to figure out. There are definitely better places for coffee in broadstone! Happy to guide you to these...

Very Pleasant experience, staff friendly and helpful, and of course the lovely coffee.. ☕ Very clean and a good seating area outside.

I was in a wheelchair and the staff who was there today really looked after me. I ordered some food and a hot chocolate. Where I’m disabled I can’t lift a glass mug so a member of staff brought over a takeaway cup to my table and poured my hot chocolate in to a takeaway cup for me. Thanks very much

Love this Costa for both drink and food. We visit frequently due to the great service. Jane the Manager is very welcoming. She creates a clean and happy environment.

A young girl called Quinn whom i believe has left now to go traveling for a while is an absolute asset to this company. Her customer service is outstanding, nothing is ever too much trouble even when she is flat out on her feet. One of the most cheerful happiest people I have ever come across. Always has a smile on her face and makes conversation. I would imagine she is highly missed!

Well I will not be going back there. I had a toasted cheese Sandwidge and a tea. It was my Birthday and on my App it said I could have a free Cake so when I went to the counter and showed the boy behind the counter my App he said no so rude. Mind you I've found him rude before. So I will be going back there. Glenda

Staff here are always friendly and polite, spacious seating inside and out, always seems to be well staffed.. I’ve dropped a star because they are not on it when it comes to cleaning the tables and floors as often as they should, often have to hunt around for a cleared and clean one

As a local teacher I use Costa most days to get my caffeine fix! They know their regular customers well, especially Flo and Meg. During lockdown I have continued to use them a for delivery through Uber and they are always fast, well packaged, tasty and sometimes even have a little note handwritten on the bag. Thanks ladies!

bought an iced coffee and unfortunately the oat milk was off although me and my partner went in to report the issue and the two girls at the desk were so kind and lovely and gave us a free coffee :) didn’t get their names although i’m sure they know who they are so thankyou !

Met a friend in Broadstone for coffee. The cafe was quite busy so we queued up for our drinks. After our drinks had been made we realised there wasn’t a table available. We waited a while but in the end decided the only option was to sit outside. There is a canopy so at least the chairs outside were dry. It was a bit chilly so we quickly finished our drinks and left.

Called in for lunch with a client. Managed to find a table in the window. Some tables needed clearing. Went to the counter and ordered two cheese and tomato toasties, peach iced tea and an Americano total bill £12.35 which seemed reasonable for what we had. Staff were friendly enough and the food/drinks were fine for what they cost.

The new location is so much better. It is larger inside, bright and airy and the layout is mote comfortable and not as claustrophobic. The outside seating is great for a coffee and watching the world go by. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient although it was not that busy. The only down side was that I had to ask for a knife and serviette to go with my sandwich.

Having waited in line for 20 minutes , we ordered mint choc chip x 2 and when we got home we discovered it was a totally different coffee type drink with no mint at all.. My daughter is allergic to certain types of ingredients etc so i couldnt let her have it . i just want to say in future could you please try and make the drinks that the customer asks for .

Hi prices to receive a lukewarm cup of hot chocolate. Its a shame as this place has the potential to be a good little meeting place. Some of the staff are not that pleasant either.

Extremely helpful and courteous. Credit to any employer. They went out of their way to help this Sunday morning

Nice new Costa, good service and the manager enthusiasm for her job. Enjoyed my visit. Can be a nice place to sit and watch the world go by

ok they have only moved down the road, but this location is far better. There is plenty of room inside and out, and the staff are just as great.

Popped in for a bonfire latte. Countertop sticky and filthy, sandwiches on the countertop open and uncovered with50% notes on and flies buzzing and sitting on them. Milk open and out on countertop with the flies. Gentlemen preparing my coffee used bare hands to level off the coffee grounds and used bare hands again to pop the lid on which would have been ok had he not rubbed his hands all over the part where my mouth goes. Yuck. Have emailed a complaint too.

What a difference a new Costa can make! Popped in for a quick coffee and cake on their first day of opening and it is so so much better than the previous one here in Broadstone. Large, light and airy and in these hot temperatures, it’s air conditioned, yay. A mistake on our order was dealt with quickly, without a fuss and with a genuine apology.. Please keep it up, will be back for sure.

Still great coffee but sitting outside very, very open on the roundabout, will be freezing in bad weather as the wind whips round the corner and there is no protection. Would be better if there was a railing/wall between the cars and the diners. Much more choice in the range of food.

Come here many times for coffee and cake (and sometimes a sandwich), great variety of sweet and savoury food and not bad prices for a chain, but still quite expensive. As chain stores go, staff are lovely and helpful and often very charismatic

Have come here on cycle rides; conveniently placed and lots of comfortable seating. Enjoyable food as well, but maybe slightly expensive

Now I don’t think it’s exclusive to the Broadstone costa as everyone I go to seems to take forever to pour 1 flat white but here it’s especially slow. If I’m in a rush I’d rather drive out my way to Starbucks as the service is 10 time quicker!!

Called into this Costa at lunchtime for coffee and cake.

Popped in for coffee and toast after doing the school run. Staff are always smiling. Helpful and kind and the service is very good indeed. One of the coffee machines was broken so there was a bit more of a que this morning but the staff took it in their stride and didn’t get flustered.

We popped in for a coffee and something to eat, the chap who served us, managed to burn the food in the sandwich machine, the coffee was Luke warm and all the table were dirty. Won’t bother stopping here again

It was the first time I've been to this branch and I was slightly disappointed. Service was pretty slow even though it wasn't that busy, we had to ask several times for the doggie water bowl to be refilled and we waited for quite some time in toasted sandwiches. I'm guessing they had been busy earlier in the morning due to the amount of tables that required cleaning. Not the normal standard of a Costa (I've been in a few!!).

A great venue with excellent staff, nice place to go to relax or meet up with friends. A regular haunt

We spent more than £25, service was at best disinterested. Barista didn't bother to read the drinks order correctly so made what she thought was right. A toastie was so overcooked (staff clearly forgot about it but still brought it out anyway) it could have been laid as a floor tile... generally a poor effort, Costa. Ah well.

Dos días seguidos como primera visita fue muy pobre como pensamos que el personal el beneficio de la duda y tener una mejor experiencia en nuestra segunda visita, pero era igual de decepción. En nuestra primera visita a un miembro del personal empujado por una bandeja ruidosamente (apareciendo agitó) en el frente de la superficie mientras estábamos siendo servido por alguien, mientras tanto nuestro servidor interactuaba con nosotros desconsiderada y sin una sonrisa. Cuando regresamos, la segunda vez que me tomó un largo tiempo para ser servida, incluso aunque había 5 miembros del personal sólo detrás del mostrador preparando un pedido para la enfrente de mí, permitiendo caballero una cola para construir detrás de mí. Sin embargo, en ambas ocasiones 'Debbie' hizo que nuestro café para nosotros y era muy acogedor y amable en contraste con los otros.

this costa has good seating... but staff are rather slow , so by the time your coffee is ready your friends already finished hers. would recommend ordering together

Tienda Estándar Costa Coffee tan razonable café y normal selección de pasteles y bocadillos. . Simplemente dolorosamente lenta! !

La tienda se ve bastante cansados y un poco sucio. El personal no eran geniales y otros pies debajo de cada. No vamos a volver en una prisa.

I pop into the coffee shop most days, but will probally find somewhere else , I was in there last week and have not seen such a miserable pair behind the counter, there was no custermer interaction at all , I almost felt like an inconvenience being there, it's such a shame ...do they not teach or value retail skills anymore , many years ago whilst waiting to commence my nurse training I worked in a shop, I knew most people by name , and it was impressed upon me the importance of smiling and engaging with the customer .......yet another skill lost to the past ........

After some really good visits to this cafe my last visit was like a production line, no one smiling and very robotic service which left me feeling like I was interrupting their day.Coffee was good but it did put me off going back.Staff training needed on how to interact with customers.

For the last two Friday's I have called into this coffee shop at lunchtime to get a takeaway coffee on my way back to work.Both times whilst there have been a lot of people sitting inside and outside there has been little or no queue and I got my coffee super quick with friendly service which is ideal when you are limited by time.Good coffee shop and I will definitely be back.

This Costa has lost some of its charm. The atmosphere is not as friendly although the coffee is still great. They may lose customers to the new coffee shop around the corner unless they can recapture this.

Normally, I don't tend to go to Costa's, however I was very impresses by this one. It had very friendly staff and great snacks/drinks. I will now go to Costas more often! (:

Great staff and very welcoming. Efficient team and relaxing environment. I am an early starter and regularly purchase my coffee and hot chocolate from this branch and am very happy.

The staff are always friendly and even if they are busy they have time to make conversation. Nice big seats and tables outside if you have your dog.

I had a really nice coffee here today the staff here are very thoughtful I have a young baby and came in with her in her buggy and they offered to bring it to my table. They have also helped me in the past with rearranging furniture to make room for a buggy and high chair. Well done Costa Broadstone you are great we are coming back

We've been here a few times. It's standard Costa experience. Though There is masses of space down and upstairs though with a couple of seats outside. The kids always love the cakes and muffins of which Costa has the best selection out of the standard coffee chains

Whilst in Broadstone I bumped into a friend and we decided to go for coffee at Costa.Inside there was plenty of seating and apparently they now have an upstairs seating area.We chose an Americano and a Latte.The staff were friendly and efficient at making the drinks.Everywhere looked clean and tidy and we chose to sit on the sofas which are low but comfy.I think this is one of the better Costa branches.

It can get very busy at times and only one person making the coffee! Seen the queue coming out of the door once when driving by

I only ever get take away from here as it's always full of screaming kids & pushchairs, so as you can imagine it's not the calm relaxed atmosphere you'd want while your trying to relax with a coffee.The staff are friendly but so slow I've never been in & out in less than 10min.... But the coffees good.

I've been in this Costa on a number of occasions and always found it to be 'ok' but today I have to say I received what can only be described as very rude service. Maybe the young lady was having a bad day but I would have hoped Costa trained their staff in customer service to a higher level than was given here today. If I could have read her name on her badge I would happily share it but I couldn't and I certainly wasn't brave enough to ask! She was sullen, no greeting, no smile, nothing and when I asked if they might have any of their Costa cards I received a very curt 'no'!! There certainly was a very tense atmosphere around her. Coffee and lemon tart were good so that was something but I don't think I shall be rushing back to this particular Costa in a hurry - costs nothing to be polite and no excuse not to offer politeness, especially when it is given to you.

Quite a regular visitor to this branch of Costa, I can never fault them, always cheerful always as quick as possible no matter how busy.

Great little Costa, normal lovely coffee and a great choice of snacks . Staff though few in number very helpful and couldn't do enough for you

Typical Costa experience but with a bit more tranquility than many in big towns. Coffee exactly as you would expect fro Costas, cakes lovely but typical Costas Fayre.

Cheerful staff. Good coffee. In a very advantageous place of this small village. Dislike the fact the staff don't appear to clean the seats - looks as if they wipe the crumbs straight onto the seats!

Always plenty of seats upstairs if downstairs is busy, which it usually is. The coffee is excellent if standard so go for a special blend like Old Paradise Street Number 3, if available. It pays to ask any of the superb and very friendly baristas for their advice if you're unsure. Be adventurous. Also, the Earl Gray tea is to be enjoyed and savoured. ( I know its a coffee shop but more of a choice of teas would be great for those of us who only drink coffee occasionally )!The cafe is clean, neat and tidy with tables cleared quickly, run very efficiently by a team of experienced and friendly staff who, if not a little overstretched at times, know their business and their regulars but still have time for strangers. All in all an excellent place, if a little noisy when very busy, with comfortable seats, great service and good coffee! What more could you ask for?

I'm not sure what it is about this place but I've visited three times and on each occasion I've come away a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong - I love Costa and always look out for a Costa shop if I'm out and about. But the one in Broadstone just doesn't feel that special to me and my opinion of the staff is a bit mixed. On a good day you get that good barista that you expect from Costa - but on another day it's just a youngster, looking a bit bored, avoiding eye contact etc. This is certainly not somewhere I would seek out or suggest I meet up with friends there. A bit of a missed opportunity for Costa on current form.

Busy place with a nice atmosphere. Comfy seating. Service good, coffee and cake provided within a minute or two. I always seem drawn to Costa. Initially because the Mocha was just much nicer than anywhere else. Then it became a habit. Given a choice I will choose to stop at motorway services which have a Costa rather than anywhere else.

Best display of products I have ever seen at a Costa. It is a very busy coffee shop but the queues of people were quickly served efficiently. The staff were very polite and well organised.

This is one of the best Costa coffee shops.Friendly staff,all who work very hard at producing an excellent coffee.Good range of food including some gluten free food.Can get very busy on a Friday due to it being market day in Thatcham.

We love Costa and the venue at Broadstone is ideal to watch the world go by if you happen to be in the area. On the whole A Costa is a Costa, once you have been in one you essentially been in them all, but the staff seem friendly enough and its good to "people watch"

I am in Broadstone one morning per week, but honestly if im anywhere near and i fancy a coffee i will detour to this Costa. The Costa experience, i assume, is meant to be the same in any Costa you go into. If that is the case, the other Costa's in the area want to go to Broadstone to get a few tips. Friendly staff, very efficient (I went into Costa in Poole today....oh dear, what started out as a coffee in had to end up as a takeaway) and THE best flat white i have tried in every Costa i have been into. Don't know what the others do (or don't do) but it never tastes the same (or as good) as Broadstone Costa's flat white.

Well located on the main shopping strip at Broadstone, but very busy with few spare chairs or tables. This was annoying for us but must mean they are doing something right as this is a shop that seems to be placed to appeal to the locals as opposed to us tourists. Their food and coffee was certainly passable and I can see the place as a welcome bolt hole for locals looking to escape. For us out-of-towners, the Broadstone Costa experience left us wondering what was different about this shop that we couldnt find in any other Costa Coffee anywhere else in this world. Perhaps its that (to us) monotonous consistency that's the point of this place.

This recently opened Costa Coffee is situated on the main shopping area in Broadstone. it is easy to reach on foot and we were lucky to find free parking in a nearby road.The property has been totally refurbished and offers a good choice of seating from a small bar area to tables and chairs and sofas.You choose your food from the chiller section and they offer salads, sandwiches, paninis and toasted sandwiches. There is also a good selection of cakes and some giant bourbon biscuits.The staff were friendly and dealt with our order efficiently. I selected a cheese and ham toasted sandwich and a medium decaff Americano coffee and this cost £5.05 which was reasonable.We found a table fairly easily, the place was busy but not over crowded. My sandwich was delivered quite quickly by a nice staff member who cleared our trays away.There was pleasant but not intrusive background music. This coffee shop is clean and modern and has a nice atmosphere.Well worth a visit
