The best restaurants serving British food in Wokingham South East

Ordered salad boxes and jacket potatoes for our office lunch. Absolutely perfect. Both were delicious and received great feedback from staff. Every item was labelled with the name which made it so much easier giving out the food. Would definitely recommend if you want good food for the office lunch!

This is such a lovely place! Not only can you buy amazing pies but you can pop in for a drink, some breakfast or lunch. The food is delicious and the staff are all lovely.

Visited over lunch wasn’t too busy considering the park was very busy, ordered easily and quickly. The falafel sandwich I ordered was not what I expected - I was thinking the falafel would be flat with hummus instead it was whole falafel balls jammed in a sandwich- very strange and messy! Bit of a shame as not cheap..

Super Service, gutes Essen, tolle Lage jederzeit wieder, außerdem im Hof Möglichkeit mit WoMo oder Bus zu übernachten.

Brown Bag has just opened their salad bar - Brown Bag Natural and I just had one of the best takeaway lunch’s ever. Super impressed and reasonably priced.

Visited Saturday 30th November for lunch. - Welcomed by a young man and shown to a table. Youngster needs to be told to greet customers with a smile and be friendly. -Sat at a table for a few minutes and needed to request a menu. -Ordered croque monsieur, vegetable wrap, coffee and water. Requested brown bread rather than white and told ok. - After several minutes water had failed to appear so asked a waitress. Told that our order had been lost! Re-ordered and advised not possible to have brown bread and coffees would be on the house. - Food came and was good. While eating the manager came to apologise and I did say that not impressed with customer service. I did point out that there on an adjacent table there was a small dog sitting on a chair with a customer. No problem with the dog being in the restaurant but on a chair! Hopefully when the customer left the chair was cleaned properly however I would have my doubts. - A table top was cleaned but under the table food and a knapkin were left. While paying the bill I did point out the cleanliness to the manager who did respond immediately. In my opinion the staff need to be trained properly and dress appropriately with midriffs covered. Unlikely to return to this restaurant in the near future.

Came here for a family lunch and just stayed for a drink as the place is really grubby! Needs a good clean! I would hate to look inside the kitchen. Definitely would not recommend. The marquee outside looked nice.

Great breakfast today. Decided to skip the full welsh and opted for the avocado and poached eggs on sourdough. Perfectly poached. Had 2 lattes so on a bit of a coffee high at the moment. Waitress kindly gave me a small jug of hot milk to add to them. The rainbow cake looked fantastic, hope it’s still on the menu next week. Love this place.

Excellent service, lovely food, good price, been quite a few times over the past ten years or so and can easily recommend a breakfast, a baguette, a roll... All with a smile. Freshly made to order and a great independent!

This café is such a great place to go have breakfast with your friends and family!! In my opinion the Turkish Borack is my favourite!! You need to go to Daisy love because I love it!

We had dinner and breakfast here as part of a hotel stay. The menus offered a wide range of interesting choices, and catering for dietary allergies was accommodated without difficulty. The food quality was very good and dinner portions plentiful. We did feel that particularly the drinks were quite expensive. The breakfast is a mix of buffet and table service. Whilst both dinner and breakfast was supported with attentive friendly service, the costs of the evening meals and drinks are exacerbated by the addition of a 10% service charge, which is a practice that we find annoying.

Saturday late lunch with family. Food fabulous, AJ great host and attentive. We will be back again
