Food usually very good but I had a sandwich today that I think must have been yesterday's as it was very dry and tough to eat.

Great coffee - I had the flat white which was strong, tasty and nice & hot.

Delicious home made pes and fresh veg

Lovely evening and really great and simply presented meals. Super service with a smile as well. Looked like it was sold out. The pies - some pies are larger but then you find them to be 40% "hot air" - not these pies they are filled with quality ingredients and it tastes like that. It was a Valentines day offer. What a gem of a place this is!! We arranged a family members 90th birthday gathering afternoon buffet and chose Rural Pie as the venue. Not disappointed at all. Lovely warm welcome from the owners and the team and the food was 5 star. Homemade sandwiches and savouries were exceptionally good and tasty. The Rural Pie team made the whole event very special. Would thoroughly recommend this place for quality food and drinks. Thank you team Rural Pie.

Great choice of fillings for the pies, nice quiet outside area to eat in, food was served hot and perfect portion size - loved it!

Just had a peppered steak pie absolutely loving very tasteful,I waited in the car and the gentleman behind the counter brought it out to me boxed with gravey and knife and forks

The food is absolutely wonderful, friendly and attentive staff. I would highly recommend Rural Pie to anyone and everyone. Pie selection changes so you never end up with the same choice each visit. Good choice of local ales for accompanying the food. All the food is handmade, which you can easily taste and notice. Prices are fair in my opinion. Its well worth it.

Been there many times, great breakfast with well sourced ingredients, service is great and the pies you can take away are first class.

We’ve been here plenty of times for breakfast and it is always amazing. Doesn’t matter if vegan, veggie or carnivore. Recently we’ve been exploring lunch and evening menus and drinks and it’s just as amazing! Absolutely recommend!

Friendly staff, efficient service and pleasant seating area. Chicken salad sandwich and cheese toastie both excellent. Freshly made to order, plenty of filling. We know they were freshly made as they came with no onions, as requested. Will be back to try other dishes. Thank you!

Cooked three pies this evening at home which we bought from the Rural Pie Co. Full of filling and flavour. Will definitely be going back.

Used to be the best breakfast in Twyford but they are now using shoulder bacon instead of back rashers, also was charged 4.80 twice for 2 pots of their excellent tea..

We enjoyed our pies, they were well worth the visit.

Seen all the awards and heard good things about this place. Wasn’t disappointed, we went for breakfast, great selection and cooked perfectly, really enjoyed especially the sausage. Fair price compared to the local garden centres. Service was brilliant and friendly, best cappuccino ever. We then opted for 3 take away pies, all superb - definitely on our return to list

Highly recommend, lovely cosy café, with lots of fresh homemade food options available. The fruit pies are simply incredible, takes me back to my younger days and being in my moms kitchen! The crochet animals, dotted around the café is a nice touch, I think it would be nice to see some more bits of local craft for sale.

Valentine’s Day set menu was home cooked perfection served by a delightful team. Started with a glass of rose Prosecco and a beer followed by a trio of starters - smoked salmon blini, shot of consommé and tomato bruschetta. Pie of the day was Wild Boar and Chorizo - delicious soft pulled pork with mildly spiced chorizo in a crispy pastry served with green beans, roast potatoes and gravy. Hubby had an equally tasty chicken and mushroom pie. Pudding was a trio of yummy desserts - shot of lemon posset & shortbread biscuit, gooey chocolate brownie and white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake with a chocolate truffle! Everything was made by Amy and that wasn’t the end of it - we left with chocolate dipped strawberries. What a lovely, unexpected evening.

Had one of their haggis pies today, it was the best and tastiest pie I have ever had in my life 👍

Love it, love it, love it!! Excellent breakfast, quality ingredients and all freshly cooked. Enjoyed the food so much we had to go back and sample the pies. We were not disappointed. We will be back!!

Awesome pies and super friendly staff!

This place is brilliant, full stop! Wanted to hold a team meeting for my leadership team, 9 in total, so booked the small room in the restaurant. What a success, lunch included plus refreshments throughout the day. Phil and the team could not have been more hospitable and the pies for lunch were a real hit with the team. Finished of with a few rounds of refreshing beverages from the bar post meeting, it was perfect. If you want to hold your meeting in a different location and support a local business at the same time, give the team a great experience at The Rural Pie shop.

A Friday night pint and I think the best 🥧 and mash I've had for many years, steak and black pudding really great 👍.

Had another wonderful breakfast here great start to the day also a great place to finish the day with a marvellous pie as we have in the past . Great food served in a really pleasant setting well worth a visit.

Went for breakfast - Not many places around this area do a decent breakfast so this is a good find. Fair price and good quality food.

The Coffee was the only saving grace. Staff were overwhelmed and took forever to bring me my food. I could hear the manager shouting at the waiter in the kitchen, although it clearly wasn't his fault they don't have enough staff. Would avoid...

What a find! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in this quiet and intimate restaurant and the three pies (chicken and veg, chicken and chorizo and peppered steak) went down a treat. The passion fruit sorbet was divine.

Our first visit was in the early evening and were very impressed with the level of service as well as the quality and portions of food. The pies were excellent, we plumped for the steak & mushroom and the chicken and ham, both of which arrived on a bed of mashed potatoes with sides of fresh vegetables. There’s a large range of pies available which are made on the premises. Washed down with very reasonably priced local Rebellion IPA and a large glass of Shiraz. Couldn’t fault anything and will definitely return soon as we’re always keen to support local businesses.

As a vegetarian I am often sceptical of ‘vegetarian’ specials. The pie I had was sublime. The salad and new potato sides perfect accompaniments despite the fierce heat outside. Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating (thanks for the ketchup replenishments) - good, honest and well priced food from a warm and friendly local establishment. Will deffo come back.

We visited the Twyford Beer Festival over the weekend (June 2022), and would like to thank the team not only for the amazing pies but well-needed or the fantastic-cooked breakfast. I would highly and without reservation, recommend visiting them in either their cafe bar in Twyford high street (near Waitrose) or at any of the festivals they attend. Well done six stars, well who does not like a superior pie? (Allergies catered for)

Rural pie co Ltd have all the ingredients to make it the only place to eat when in the area, they are truly passionate about what they do and the service they provide using fresh localy sourced produce(where possible). The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are always welcoming with excellent customer service, 5 stars are not enough.

Clean, friendly, quality food cooked well. Banter with the staff and good wine. Can’t fault the place. Had the steak and ale pie and hit wings to start. A very satisfied customer and will be back again.

The owners are such lovely people and make you feel so welcome. Best chai latte I've ever had hand down! The pies are excellent and all ingredients locally sourced, especially recommend the steak and black pudding and the lamb and mint. Also a great selection of local ales, beers, ciders and super tasty desserts. Pies can be eaten in or take away and are served with seasonal veg or tortilla chips. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone!

Bought pies to eat at home with my family. Cram packed with filling, totally delicious, & full of flavour. Great variety to choose from too.

Came to Rural Pie this evening for dinner. It was my first visit since Christmas and the place looked fantastic. The new flooring made everywhere look bigger and with the paint work being done the whole place looked really fresh. The food as always was amazing and staff were happy and friendly. A very enjoyable evening.

Welcoming and polite staff, good tasting coffee food was great (and actually hot, the amount of times other cafes serve a warm coffee is astonishing) - 10/10 would come back for sure x

Nice building and decor with lovely friendly staff and very clean but sorry I had to mark it down to 3⭐ because the price is really expensive for what it is and secondly I eat all over the UK and this breakfast is good but not amazing. I've definitely had better for quite a lot less and they don't even include a hot drink !

normal experience at first… then i spot a pile of crumbs at my table. it’s fine, i swept them off. A staff member who i acknowledge just started into my eyes with a blank expression then continued walking. After that my chair leg jolted and i fell of the chair and smacked my head. One staff member noticed, laughed, and walked away. won’t be returning- i have made sure to tell all my friends how this store works…

Went for breakfast today having decided from the menu on the website. It was ok but not outstanding. However on discussing back home decided to call and check the cost as it came to more than expected. Told price had gone up after Christmas but...

Had a small all day breakfast,and was thoroughly impressed and really enjoyed the food. Good service and a nice choice to take away as well. Recommended👍

Some brilliant pies including vgetarian and desert pies backed up with a surprisingly good drinks choice alcoholic and non alcoholic. The owner and staff are very attentive and nothing seems to be ever too much trouble and the bill is great value for money. Whenever I have been the atmosphere is always welcoming and takeaway is on offer. Well worth a visit.

I like my vegetables on the undercooked side but sprouts and parsnips were most definitely under-undercooked. That said, the pie and the pudding were splendid, there was a pleasing selection of ales, the staff were efficient and friendly (especially Arthur) and the ambience was very pleasant.

First visit to the Rural pie Co who we have passed when at Waitrose. But if you ever want to pay homage to all that is great in a pie this is the place. The phrase good food takes time and each pie is warmed up crisp pastries no lard used. Filling that is top to bottom brimming full of locally sourced meat and collaborations with local craft beer breweries. The circular economy all in this pie. Lunch is great and relaxed but pie and a beer will be something to try next visit. Thanks

Found the Rural Pie Co while browsing for local eateries on google. We both love a pie so booked immediately AND were so glad we did. The pies were superb and plenty of choice. The accompanying veg were cooked to perfection. Also a great selection...

Great little licensed cafe/restaurant in the centre of Twyford, serving gorgeous pies, pastries, all day breakfasts and a wide range of coffees, craft beers and wines. Really friendly service, and has a terrace onto a small square off the high street. Also does takeaway pies & food.

A gem in the centre of Twyford - a great selection of pies, some seasonal, and a great place for a pie-and-a-pint of an evening - can definitely recommend the cauliflower cheese and the crushed new potatoes - yum! An impressive selection of local ciders and beers, some on draught, was just what I needed with a pie (I had a Rebellion). Our pies were properly filled and those fillings were really tasty. I finished my dinner off with some tasty key lime pie! Sausage rolls are amazing too! I've yet to try their fantastic-sounding breakfasts - looking forward to that! I parked for free in the car park behind Waitrose and walked through.

Not bad, but not as good as Sweeny Todd in Reading, in terms of pie construction, pie taste and number of pie options.

Such amazing pie!! Tried a few different ones and they've all been delish, pastry is outstanding and the filling for both sweet and savoury never disappoints! The best pie was the peppered steak- huge chunks of tender meat, perfectly cooked and just so delish. Great as a takeaway option as we can reheat in the oven when we want. Cant wait for them to reopen and visit in person

I love this place...and why wouldn't you - the pastry is as good as my grans (that's huge), the filling is above and beyond with huge chunks of meat and delicious gravy. The fruit pie is also next level. I promise I don't work here! Just a northerner who's incredibly excited about finding a good pie shop!!

Friendly counter staff, decent coffee, great pies made with locally sourced ingredients. At the moment they have bottled beers and cider from some of our local breweries a d in normal times I was told draught beer is available with meals and they also do growler fills for home consumption.

Great pies and great atmosphere. They do a fantastic job of using local produce!

Anyone that gives less than 5 stars is crazy! We took a sip of the cider, had some chorizo crisps, and before the pies were even in the oven, we were planning our order for next week! Absolutely incredible and we feel so lucky to have them close by!

Fantastic restaurant and takeaway with brilliant food!

Picked up a few pies from here before lockdown to takeaway and they were all absolutely delicious. Quite simple flavours but done to perfection!

A lovely place, with Amazing pies!

Picked up a selection of pies the other day for a rule of 6 get together in the garden (in the winter). Christmas, Steak, Chicken & Asparagus. All terrific, so tasty. Fillings were lovely and the pastry...YUM! Definitely feel good food. Well worth a visit.

Fabulous pies, great shop and restaurant. The staff are always nice, friendly without being over attentive. The restaurant is great will the separate areas, which I assume were parts of a house at one point. Cosy setting. Highly recommend.

Ordered online, got delivered on Saturday and at the time they said, had some of the pies for dinner that night and wow amazing pies we had the brisket, stout and shallots. Amazing flavour cant wait to dig into the rest of them that I ordered

I work down the road and I got stuck in a procedure the other day and a staff member very kindly dropped off the pie at my work! So far I have tried several of them and I think my favourite has been the chicken roast dinner one! Can't wait to try more :)

Great pies and very friendly service from the staff and owner. Our third visit since opening. Lamb and mint pies, mash, veg and gravey going down very well with the family. They vary the pie menu daily. Speaking to the owner today they had 35 different pies in their range including vegetarian options. Nice puddings. Excellent draft ales and wine too. We will be back soon.
