Aroma in Wokingham

Ordered salad boxes and jacket potatoes for our office lunch. Absolutely perfect. Both were delicious and received great feedback from staff. Every item was labelled with the name which made it so much easier giving out the food. Would definitely recommend if you want good food for the office lunch!

I popped in here on Monday 3rd July. I checked the menu outside for a while before going in. A chap walked out, his lunch in hand. He held the door for me to go in but I said I was still choosing. He went to walk away then stopped, turned & said 'it's a great place, try it! Look at this!' He showed me his salad box which was filled to the brim with the size of salad that will actually keep you going! One reason I never order salads out is they are just too small so don't fill you up. This one would! I had planned on trying a panini but saw that the Monday special was chilli nachos with the option for jalapenos so I asked for that with some extra cheese. I tried a small cappuccino & a large too. The small was better, only due to the volume of chocolate sprinkles versus size of the coffee. Both coffees were great. The mountain of chilli nachos arrived quickly. It was a mountain! Plenty! Only some dry nachos were left on my plate once I was done. They did offer a box to take away if I couldn't finish it. It was delicious! Just the right amount of heat from the chilli & jalapenos! Yum! I asked some questions about the breakfasts they do, they will accommodate switch outs for items, some of my preferences I may need to pay 20p for - which is nothing! I am hoping to make it there today for their fish finger sandwich Friday special. Though, the menu is so vast, I may change my mind last minute. You can get a special each day served from 11.30am, breakfasts until 11.30am, jacket potatos, baguettes, sandwiches & pannins here. The filling options are huge! So much choice! The prices are fair & good. They have a menu you can take with you. It's cosy inside, has space to sit undercover outside. The staff were lovely, very attentive & made me feel at home. Try it! I would be surprised if you didn't enjoy the food or the experience.

Staff were really good and very friendly in helping to decide on what we could have to eat given my wife is gluten and dairy free. As a result they recommended a variety of choices so we went for the lamb hot pot which was delicious and tasted like something your Mum would make for you. Price was great as well - would highly recommend.

Passing though wokingham lunchtime for a bite to eat. We always look for independent food outlets where possible. Found this one. A mother and daughter led team. Very friendly staff. We both had prawn sandwiches which were freshly made while we sat and had coffees. Really good experience and well priced.

Definitely worth a try though limited seating for 10 people on 4 tables but don’t stop this trying. Fresh made sandwiches, jackets and hot a cold drinks. One of the only places in town that do jacket potatoes. Easy access for wheel chairs and buggies. Very friendly staff just in the high street. Definitely recommend. Please like if this helped.

This little sandwich bar is incredible. Fresh salad and an insane coronation chicken baguette. Such a friendly waitress and quick service. Will definitely be returning

Love this cafe. I always order their coronation chicken salad box and it does not disappoint. Friendly team and quick service. Their salad is always fresh and crisp. Way better than buying from some of the chains nearby.

Working lunch required for 12 at short notice - Nathan and the team were able to help. Nathan talked through the options, made suggestions to ensure covid compliant and arranged delivery. When the food arrived, it was excellent, sandwiches, little cakes and fruit, all individually packaged to the delight of all attendees. Plenty of comments about how nice it was, maybe next time we won't have to be covid compliant and can have a buffet! Thank you Aroma for your help and for your lovely food

We have just demolished two mixed platters of sandwiches for our work lunch. The sandwiches were delicious, fresh bread, plenty of filling and a good range to suit all appetites. Thank you Aroma!!!

OK this is the closest I have found to a sandwich on a par with what America has to offer. Lots of filling, good ingredients, friendly staff. What a rarity.

I have been ordering buffet business lunches from Aroma for a couple of years. Excellent selection of food, all types of dietary requirements catered for and lovely helpful staff.

I went into this cafe for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised, I had beauful jacket potato with chilli and salad and a cup of decaf tea (surprised they had this- most cafes don't). I can't recommend this enough, very good value, pleasant surroundings and very helpful staff THANKYOU x

Come here for the really great brie and onion panini. And in the heatwave we had this summer we took advantage of their seating area of 3 tables outside in the little courtyard area to the left of the shop which we didn't know they had!

I was there from June to August during my business admin apprentice training for BHFT and when I went to the cafe for the first time, the people who work at the cafe are so friendly and they can make whatever you wish for your lunch. Every time I turned up for my lunch, one of the employees remembered my favourite dish - tuna fish salads with smoked salmon, olives, feta cheese with balsamic vinegar and a flat-white coffee.. And the price is so reasonable! I know there are plenty of cafe in Wokingham but I personally felt Aroma is the best because I feel like home and I will missed the cafe ENORMOUSLY! I will have to come back at one day.

After living in Wokingham for 3 years, somehow only just noticed Aroma but so glad we did! Popped in for a take away lunch which consisted of a couple of baguettes(Crayfish with salad and a chicken & bacon), crisps and a drink each. The baguettes were very tasty, fresh and very reasonably priced! The staff were also lovely. Will definitely be returning and recommend to anyone looking for a quick tasty lunch or a longer one if you wish it stay and eat in.

I visit here regularly for my lunch and am yet to be disappointing in the quality of food provided. Good range of food is available with daily specials as well. Excellent all round

Switched to Aroma from the big chains for buying sandwiches at lunchtime in Wokingham. Handmade to order, fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and no plastic packaging! They deserve to succeed.

Since I was here last time, the cafe has changed hands - and what a wonderful welcome my friend and I had on entry. That smile - they care. We were very impressed with the service. We were here for a light lunch with a cup of tea - a large cup of tea! The tables have vases of flowers, how welcoming is that! Such a good selection on sandwiches, freshly made, you won't be disappointed. Thank you. We will be back...soon.

Gave this little cafe a try as nowhere in town sells freshly prepared sandwiches/baguettes. The BLT was really tasty and definitely recommend. The service was excellent -couldn’t do enough for us. They have a high chair. Will be back.

This place is a must for a light lunch. We have been here 3 times in the last two months, since the new couple took over and always had excellent service and food. There is a good range of food available and you always get a very warm welcome. All the best for the future and we will be back soon.

This is such an adorable palce. The coffe is do gorgoeus; better than Costa and Strbucks for sure. The staff are lovely and its also a great place for kids as they offer colouring activities.

Spotlessly clean, delicious sandwiches, generous portions and friendly service. The paninis are particularly good. Fillings and salads always fresh. Terrific.

This is the most relaxing eating house in wokingham, where you get such a warm welcome. The two ladies are so frendley, you feel like your a friend. The sandwich choice is excellent, coffee is really nice too. Colin.....Binfield

He usado su servicio de buffet de negocios y cada vez la comida se ha entregado puntualmente y bien presentados. La casa - quiches hechas y las galletas son una delicia. a little disappointed in the customer service. My friend ordered meat filling on white bread and I was vege filling on brown. The orders were muddled and we told the waitress this and she suggested we share or eat as is!! Neither of us liked each other filling, so it was not an option. but there was no attempt by the waitress to change it. If the shop was empty I would have understood, but we were the only ones there - and we did order and pay separately too. Other than that the food was fresh and coffee good and the cafe was clean and tidy.

What a little gem. Fantastic food, friendly & outstanding service, everything is made fresh on the day. Very wide selection on sandwich & bagette fillings. Not forgetting their great jacket potatoes. I shall return

Sandwiches are made to order so are fresh and delicious. A very friendly place to have your lunch. Strongly recommend a visit.

I was recommended to this place by a friend and I have to say I have not been disappointed. The Aroma is a small family run business, and serves up lovely fresh, made to order sandwiches, panini's, jackets and salads. Loads of choice of fillings, and to round it all off, the coffee is good too. Large take away orders can be catered for as well, for that office conference day or party. Tucked away down Denmark street near the library, this place has been a great find.

Almost any combination of filling is possible, including "specials" on certain days. The title "Tuna salad sandwich" doesn't come close to describing the artistic combination of ingredients. It is not overstating the case to say that some of the dishes are works of art and more of a meal than a snack.The owners know all their regular customers by name and their usual orders.Heartily recommended.

Lovely little place to go, owned by very lovely and friendly people, place is clean and fresh and has a welcoming atmosphere. Great selection in spreads and whatever filling you choose it is very generously added on. Perfect place to go for lunch.

This is certainly the best sandwich shop I have ever found. The selection of fillings is amazing - but they are equally happy for you to design your own. The panini's are simply fantastic - and stuffed to the brim. They certainly don't hold back on the filling in this place!On top of all that the team that work there are immensely friendly, make you feel very welcome, and that nothing is too much trouble.Keep up the good work!

I go here at least once a week and am always made to feel welcome with a personal greeting. The new family owners (Grandma Foon, Kitty, and Gemma) have really taken the time to get to know their clients and their favourite orders and are always great fun to chat to whilst your food is made right there in front of you! Foon often makes special meat dishes on a Friday for everyones special treat day :) There are also hand made cakes by Gemma every now again for that extra special bit of YUM !You have to try their Panini's - they really are to die for !!!10/10 in every way

Hi this is a great little café but unfortunately we went to go in the other afternoon and although web site said they closed at 4pm they were closed at 3pm. it would have been nice to go back and such a choice because the other cafes in the town are very expensive.They must lose trade not opening later.

This very popular café which has a spin off branch in the library is more akin to the type of place you will find in central London. Eat in or take away sandwiches and 'toasties' are all freshly made from a wide choice of ingredients and you could be forgiven for thinking you’re visiting one of the many excellent sandwich shops the City.Although seating is limited, the atmosphere is fraught and friendly and the staffs are always welcoming with a smile and a quick service with excellent coffee. If you can avoid the lunchtime rush, this is great for a mid- morning get away from the office. If you opt for a take away, the town square and gardens are only a short walk away to enjoy your excellent freshly packed lunch, and the service is quick.

Great salads, sandwiches & baked potatoes made while you wait. Eat in or Takeaway. Very good value in wokingham and such a lovely welcome from the ladies who run the place. They always cheer me up when I purchase my early morning coffee!

A nice little deli style cafe, with a wide variety of hot and cold choices, including things that I rarely see on menus, such as crayfish. I have been a number of times, it is great for a bite to eat on your lunch break, or for a generously portioned tea or coffee otherwise! Staff were very friendly, and provided a good service.

Since this cafe has been taken over its standards have fallen, unfortunately. I like the people running it, they are friendly but they are slow and they keep on getting the order wrong. I guess this is why it's not as busy as it use to be. Shame.

The brie and cranberry panini was very tasty and the large latte was genuinely large and nice and hot. Prices are very reasonable, especially compared to the nearby high street chains. The food prep and seating areas looked clean. I noticed a 5-star hygiene notice too. The place is bright, with a spacious feel despite its small size, probably helped by the enormous wall mirror. Picky negatives only...I could hear the chiller coming on and off every few minutes, which I think could be disguised by some low-volume music, although there may be those who would prefer not to have music. And our table was slightly wobbly. The two women prepping, serving etc. were super-welcoming, polite and friendly and seem really keen to please. They seemed very busy...which is reassuring! We had an apology for the wait when the drinks and food arrive at the table, even though we didn't think it was a long wait at all. Overall, a lovely lunchtime experience - hope to have the chance to go back and try the mozzarella and sundried tomatoes panini!

We ordered a few platters of mixed flavour sandwiches to take away. They were so helpful with the different dietary requirements we had, and the sandwiches were really nice, with various fillings. The price was very good value, overall it was cheaper than buying pre-package sandwiches from a supermarket. I would definitely use them again.

Popped into here while waiting for my sister. Had a very nice coffee and small cake. The owner was really friendly and the place was very clean. While there they were tidying up to go home at 4pm when they close but I was told not to hurry that I could wait. Would go again very reasonable.

Popped into Cafe Aroma last week for a bite to eat at lunchtime. Excellent choice of hot or cold food and drinks, plus friendly staff made me feel very welcome.

I was looking for a place that was different from Starbucks and Costa. This place offers a huge range of sandwiches, baguettes, panninis, wraps, jacket potatoes and salad boxes. The food is fresh and delicious, a great change from the standard national chains. I will definitely be returning regularly.

Aroma was recommended to me so thought I should pass this little secret on to others. Friendly service excellent food including Salad Box, Jacket Potato, Pannini, Sandwich etc. Everything can be fully customised to your own tastes so the combinations never get boring.Would recommend it to anyone looking for a lunch venue in Wokingham, fantastic!

The first thing you will notice about Aroma is the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. They cannot do enough to please you and remember each customer individually. The food itself is excellent with a huge variety of sandwiches, Jacket potatoes and jam packed salads. One thing for sure is they will never let you leave hungry! Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for an alternative to the store bought sandwiches at lunch time.

Cheerful and friendly café, staff very helpful and friendly. Great that you can customise your sandwich including wraps, paninis and baguettes with any filling you fancy. Really enjoyed crayfish and avocado Salad with jacket potato as well as homemade chocolate chip cookie!All very fresh ingredients and lovely atmosphere. One of the best places in the town to have lunch in my experience. I liked it so much that I returned the next day for a take-away salad box

Great sandwich shop which offers choices for any diet. Being vegan it's not easy finding somewhere in Wokingham to get a snack. Aroma is versatile & flexible in what they offer and it's always with a smile. If we have visitors and need to grab a snack it's always Aroma's we head for.

This small establishment is well worth a visit and my visit was recommended to me, glad i came, my colleagues opted for a Sandwich from Morrisons only to complain how boring it was. I tried a simple Panni that was absolutely beautiful and worth praise. Served different and using seeded bread was just so different and it had a real taste as opposed to the usual bland type you get. This was then handed over wrapped in foil and placed into another bag, that little bit of extra care goes along way and you dont get from the likes of Morrison's. The service by the young Polish lady was polite, friendly and just welcoming and this was clear to everyone she served. The gentleman also serving though would do well to spend less time chatting and referring to the customers as "mate" all of the time, not everyone likes being referred to in this way Mate!
