CallThe Bells on the day of the booking for a table of 9 people (work group) and managed to get us in and once we arrived at The Bells the party had reached 14 but no problem to them. Food was great and service was very good and all had a nice time and there were 6 different nationalities so to please all was great

I loved how engaged the team was and they made it so personal we felt very well looked after my family absolutely loved it. Brilliant venue, real gem

Always room to chill with nice atmosphere

Well what can we say we had a great time at the old red lion we brought in the new year there and what a fantastic night it was lovley local customers so friendly and the landlady and her family couldn't meet any nicer people so friendly so homely food is very good well looked after definitely worth a visit if you in the area have been to this pub a few times and it never disappoints us will be back again thanks to all staff and owners of red lion happy new year from us irish visitors

Breakfast bap was certainly loaded and very well cooked. Timely services. Friendly pub with a nice outside space and carpark.

Popped in on a sunny Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the afternoon treat which consisted of sandwiches, sausage roll, a very large scone with cream and jam, a chocolate brownie and pot of tea, very good value served by the lovely staff

So I live local to this pub and have visited it many times. The menu regularly changes and previously the food has been good. However on my latest visit we ordered three dishes from the Tapas menu namely the nachos, satay chicken and halloumi. Upon arrival of the nachos the chef had made the cardinal sin of using sauce out of a plastic bottle to replicate sour cream, salsa and guacamole. The fact that this was rank sauce was squirted in three lines across the nachos made the dish inedible. The satay chicken was good but again the sauce had obviously come out of a bottle. The halloumi was passable. Tapas should be bog standard for a chef and not thrown together by taking short cuts and replacing fresh products with muck from a plastic bottle.

Went there for Sunday lunch randomly, warm welcome, lovely people .. Ordered a roast and was surprised how tasty and value for money it was. Recommend

What was a good night meeting friends got rather spoilt when you check your spend on your bank account next day with tap and pay! Same two drinks pint and a half of Perroni lager, 3 different prices ! £ 10-10, £11-30, £13-10 ( this was a cash transaction and gave £ 15-00 cash got £1-90 back!

Avoid this place. Used to go often, but noted recently the area is very dirty, today filthy with uncollected trays piled high with food plates, drinks, food on tables,food and spilled drinks all over chairs, floor, settees, tables. There was nowhere fit to sit or that could be cleaned by a customer. Asking one of the staff to help at least wipe a table ended up with rudeness, then unpleasantness, then the two guys getting nasty and shouting, totally out of order. We were told they were busy , we'd have to stand there and wait. We suggested they stop making drinks until they made some tables available.Then when they started arguing we put the tray on the counter and asked for a refund. We did not get one. And one of us had been asked to asked to pay a surcharge for soya milk. I had needed to ask the guy on the till to remove an additional £ 2.50 off the bill as I noticed it on the handset before he put in the cost of the drinks! He made some excuse of crashing the computer. I was quite surprised the customer before us was asked to scan her app twice. I note in the last review similar comments. Harris and Hoole is not cheap and wants to be that bit more classy. But if staff drag the coffee shops down in this way then the chain will go under. Staff too full of themselves to clear tables end up with a dirty cafe with health risks. Very poor and disappointing. Tesco need to remove them from the store.
